- Don Felder was born on September 21, 1947 in Gainesville, Florida, USA. He is a composer and actor, known for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021), Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982) and Heavy Metal (1981). He was previously married to Susan Harris Pickersgill.

- As a teenager he used to give guitar lessons to make extra money. One of his students was a fellow teenager named Tom Petty.
- Felder was unable to appear with Eagles at the first California Jam festival due to the birth of his first child. His temporary replacement for that gig was the group's longtime friend, Jackson Browne.
- As a teenager he was in a band with Stephen Stills. Interestingly, when Stills quit the band his replacement was Felder's future band mate in Eagles, Bernie Leadon.
- Joined Eagles after contributing guitar parts to their album "On the Border".
- Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 (as a member of Eagles).
