To celebrate the release of Basket Case on Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray available from 29th April, we have a Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray to give away to a lucky winner!
The feature debut of director Frank Henenlotter, 1982’s Basket Case is a riotous and blood-spattered “midnight movie” experience, now presented for the first time ever on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray.
Duane Bradley seems like a pretty ordinary guy. His formerly conjoined twin Belial, on the other hand, is a deformed creature who lives in a wicker basket. Arriving in the Big Apple and taking up a room at a seedy hotel, the pair set about hunting down and butchering the surgeons responsible for their separation.
Filmed on a shoestring budget against the backdrop of 1980s New York (where it played on the midnight movie circuit for over two-and-a-half years), Basket Case has clawed its way from...

For years, Awesome Art We’ve Found Around The Net has been about two things only – awesome art and the artists that create it. With that in mind, we thought why not take the first week of the month to showcase these awesome artists even more? Welcome to “Awesome Artist We’ve Found Around The Net.” In this column, we are focusing on one artist and the awesome art that they create, whether they be amateur, up-and-coming, or well-established. The goal is to uncover these artists so even more people become familiar with them. We ask these artists a few questions to see their origins, influences, and more. If you are an awesome artist or know someone that should be featured, feel free to contact me at any time at theodorebond@joblo.com.This month we are very pleased to bring you the awesome art of…

” I want a serious girlfriend. Somebody I can love, that’s gonna love me back. Is that psycho?”
In his debut film as writer-director, John Hughes immediately cemented himself as the king of teen cinema with Sixteen Candles, and in the process also introduced one of the most iconic faces of 80s Americana: Molly Ringwald.
For high schooler Samantha Baker (Molly Ringwald), her 16th birthday might be the worst day of her life. Her entire family has forgotten about it due to her older sister s impending wedding; her biggest crush, high school hunk Jake Ryan (Michael Schoeffling) has discovered an embarrassing sex quiz filled out by Sam in which she details how she is saving herself for him; and to make matters worse, she is hounded by a relentless nerd (Anthony Michael Hall) who won t take no for an answer. But Sam s sweet sixteen isn t over yet,...

” And don’t forget, tomorrow we’re showing the head with two things… I mean the thing with two heads. Until then, this is Elvira saying unpleasant dreams. “
She s back! Elvira, Horrorland s hostess with the mostest, finally busts out on newly restored Blu-ray with this long-awaited, positively bursting-at-the-seams special edition of her big screen debut, Elvira: Mistress of the Dark!
Having just quit her job as a Los Angeles TV horror hostess, Elvira receives the unexpected news that she s set to inherit part of her great aunt Morgana s estate. Arriving in the small town of Fallwell, Massachusetts to claim her inheritance, Elvira receives a less than enthusiastic reception from the conservative locals amongst them, her sinister uncle Vincent, who, unbeknownst to Elvira, is in fact an evil warlock secretly scheming to steal the old family spellbook for his own nefarious ends

February’s home media releases are an exceptional bunch, led by Mike Flanagan’s Doctor Sleep adaptation, which is headed to a variety of formats, including 4K Ultra HD. In terms of other recent genre titles making their way to Blu-ray and DVD this Tuesday, horror fans will undoubtedly want to add Rabid (2019), Daniel Isn’t Real, The House That Jack Built, and Mon Mon Mon Monsters! to their collections as well.
We also have a few older titles that are making their way to Blu this week, including Frank Henenlotter’s Brain Damage and Evil Ed, and if you somehow don’t already own them, both the original Halloween and Halloween (2018) are being released on Blu as a double feature from Universal Studios Home Entertainment.
Other notable home media titles arriving on February 4th include The Nightingale, Perfect, Ouija Room, Restricted Access, and 10/31 Part II.
