Olympic gold medalist Klete Keller was sentenced for his involvement in the January 6 U.S. Capitol riot in 2021.
Keller has won five Olympic medals, two of which were gold for the relay team. He also won silver and two bronze medals.
On the day of the storming of the Capitol, Keller was wearing his Team USA jacket, but after the riot, he threw it in a trash can.
He was identified through a video recorded by Townhall reporter Julio Rosas.
In the video, Keller is seen with his back to police as they attempt to clear the Capitol Rotunda.
After the footage was released, many people recognized Keller at home since he stood out due to his height and Team USA jacket.
Investigators said they identified him using the footage from the video, his driver’s license.
He also cursed out House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
