Throughout her illustrious career, Thalia has proudly represented Mexican culture through her music, iconic looks, and unforgettable performances. With música Mexicana going global, the Mexican pop icon is tapping into the sounds of her roots through her new album "A Mucha Honra," where she pays homage to the music of her country while embracing the new wave of corridos.
"This album is called 'A Mucha Honra' because, as a Mexican, it makes me so excited to sing this music," she tells Ps. "It's in my DNA. I feel like with everything happening now with our music on a global level, it's made us so proud. This is a celebration of our music and Mexican culture."
Thalia's career spans five decades since she entered the scene in the '80s as a member of the Mexican children's group Timbiriche. In the '90s, she launched her solo career, which took her worldwide,...

Fuerza Regida canceled their appearance at Rolling Loud, which was scheduled to take place on Saturday. The festival added rapper OhGeesy to the lineup in the band’s absence. The Mexican American regional Mexican band cited an unspecified “personal emergency” as their reason for not being able to perform at the festival. They are the third música Mexicana act to leave the festival’s bill this year following the exit of Junior H and Natanael Cano earlier in the week.

Junior H and Natanael Cano will no longer perform at Rolling Loud California this weekend, Rolling Stone has learned.
In an Instagram post Monday, Jimmy Humilde, the owner and CEO of the artists’ record label, claimed that the festival had “canceled us last minute,” describing Rolling Loud as “racist.” However, Rolling Loud told Rolling Stone that the two artists were removed from the lineup because Cano had issues with his visa and Junior breached his contract.

Junior H wasn’t planning on revisiting his beloved album $ad Boyz 4 Life for a sequel. After dropping a pair of albums last year, including his trap experiment Contingente, Junior started writing music in the same style as the 2019 LP he made when he didn’t have a fancy studio to work out.
“I wrote one or two songs. The days passed and then I had four or five tracks about romance. That’s where the idea to do a part two began,” he tells Rolling Stone. This time, the...

When the Latin Grammys announced its nominees last week, the corridos tumbados of Rancho Humilde’s top acts were notably missing from its list. Not a single project from the likes of Fuerza Régida, Natanael Cano, or Junior H made the cut.
On Monday, Jimmy Humilde — the head of Rancho Humilde and an early champion for the urban-leaning música Mexicana subgenre — lashed out against the Latin Recording Academy for snubbing his label’s acts, describing the leaders of the Academy as out of touch with the culture and music.
“What do I think about it?...

Put on your cowboy boots and sombrero: Shakira is going the corridos route. On Wednesday, the Colombian superstar released her empowering corrido, titled “El Jefe,” alongside Fuerza Régida.
The track follows the story of a man from a small town who dreams of getting out and becoming a “boss with potential.” The video shows Jop, Fuera Régida’s frontman, playing the role of a hard worker carrying heavy boxes while singing the track’s lyrics about having a “de mierda” employer.
