There's a big difference between liking the idea of working in film and television and actually working in film and television. This business isn't a job, it's a lifestyle. If you want to get content produced, you must be whole-hearted about every project you are working on. As a Canadian creator/director/writer/producer, doing the work isn't what is the most challenging, it's getting the work. My life and work were completely mashed together until I had children. Now I have to work really hard to compartmentalize so I can be present as a mom and a wife and then be present as a Creative at work. This is something I work on every day, trying to find balance, peace and harmony. I'm constantly learning from my kids and from the work I do.
