Musician and prolific comics creator Alan Robert's latest book is already in the process of being adapted for the big screen. The writer-artist of the popular “Killogy” comic will release “The Shunned One” via Idw comics in early 2015, while the film adaptation is being scripted by “Grizzly” and “Corrosion” writer Jack Reher. Robert and his Wasted Talent Entertainment label (which includes Chris White and Jeff Mazzola) will co-produce alongside the Coalition Group, whose sister firm Radical Studios has produced the Tom Cruise film “Oblivion” and the upcoming Dwayne Johnson-starring “Hercules,” among other things. Sometimes it doesn't take much to sell me on a premise. Killogy is one of those, where the notion of three over-the-top criminals squaring off against voodoo magic is too good to resist.
You may already be familiar with Killogy, an Idw comic by Alan Roberts that mixes horror and comedy into a concoction of splatstick madness. Featuring the likenesses of Frank Vincent (Goodfellas, "The Sopranos"), Marky Ramone (formerly of The Ramones) and Brea Grant ("Dexter"), it seems like a no-brainer that this could translate quite easily into some kind of show or movie.
Enter "The Boondocks" creator Rodney Barnes, who will do exactly that. Deadline reports that both Barnes and Roberts will serve as executive producers on a Killogy animated series, which will see Vincent, Ramone and Grant lending their vocal talents to the proceedings.

David A. Armstrong has filmed some pretty disgusting stuff in his career. Serving as a cinematographer on six of the seven Saw movies, he has let his lens take in images of decapitations, stabbings, burnings, and much, much more. Now, however, he is stepping into the directors chair and he may be able to put those experiences to good use. Variety has learned that Armstrong has been hired to helm, Crawl to Me, a new comic book adaptation based on the work of authors Alan Robert, Jeff Mazzola and Chris White. Producers are currently looking for a writer for the project, which is about a family trapped in an isolated country town during a frigid winter that experiences a series of disturbing events. The project is actually one of two that Armstrong currently has in the works, as he is directing a film called Pawn, starring Michael Chiklis, Forest Whitaker,...
