Directed by Danny DeVito and starring Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner, the original film adaptation of The War of the Roses was released by 20th Century Fox in 1989, garnering a BAFTA and three Golden Globe nominations, including for Best Motion Picture, among other accolades.

Gorgeous, eye-popping animation and a compelling story make Iwaju soar high. The title is a rough translation of the future, and this is a co-production between Walt Disney and Kugali Media, a UK-based pan-African company. In the span of six episodes, Iwaju tells a tale that is rather simple story-wise, but the presentation is absolutely top-notch. The science-fiction setting only adds value to it, and the subtle message it gives never feels too preachy.

Exclusive: Mandy Moore (Dr. Death) and Kumail Nanjiani (Welcome to Chippendales) have closed deals to star in Thread: An Insidious Tale, a new film in the Insidious universe from Screen Gems, Blumhouse and James Wan’s Atomic Monster.
While Thread is the sixth installment in the Insidious horror franchise, examining everyday people caught up with demonic entities, it’s an offshoot project, rather than a continuation of the current series. The story here is that of a husband and wife (Nanjiani and Moore) who enlist the help of a spell to travel back in time, such that they can prevent the death of their young daughter. It wasn't until the end of season 1 that a surprising fan favorite emerged from the sprawling "Yellowjackets" cast: Jeff (Warren Kole), Shauna's mysterious, somewhat distant husband. Throughout the season, we thought Jeff was cheating on Shauna, which makes sense considering their relationship first began with Jeff cheating on Jackie.
It was only by the finale that we discovered the truth: Jeff wasn't cheating at all. He was simply blackmailing the surviving teammates in a scheme to bail out his failing furniture store. That sounds bad, but it's harmless compared to the secret Shauna reveals. Not only was she cheating on Jeff with another man, but she also just stabbed the man to death and needs help covering it all up. Worst of all, she's been lying about book club!
Since then, Jeff's revealed himself to be a ride-or-die husband, someone who's on board with covering up his wife's gruesome...

[This story contains spoilers from the third episode of Yellowjackets season two, “Digestif.”]
There’s a moment in the latest episode of Yellowjackets when Jeff (Warren Kole) asks Shauna (Melanie Lynskey) a question that he doesn’t want the answer to.
“How the heck did the van get back?”
The third episode of the hit Showtime series followed up on several story threads for the adult characters following the shocking cannibal feast in the past timeline. That moment, which saw the crash survivors eating their dead teammate Jackie in hopes of surviving a bleak winter in the wilderness, is among the many sources of trauma that the adult characters are seen living with in the show’s present-day timeline, and none more so than adult Shauna.
The season two episode “Digestif” (which refers to needing help to digest a big meal), was written by Rich Monahan, Sarah L. Thompson and Ameni Rozsa and directed by Jeffrey W. Byrd. When...

This post contains spoilers for this week’s Yellowjackets. Proceed accordingly.
It’s early yet in Yellowjackets‘ second season, but we’d like to nominate “I could’ve gone strawberry” — uttered by Jeff in this week’s episode — as a strong contender for our second favorite line said by Shauna’s bewildered husband. (Because, c’mon, it’s not likely that anything will top Season 1’s “There’s no book club?!“)
