With a title like Freddy’s Fridays, it’s obvious this was meant to cash in on the release of Five Nights at Freddy’s. And with the length of time that film took to actually get made both of the other knockoffs, The Banana Splits Movie and Willy’s Wonderland ended up preceding it to release, so Freddy’s Fridays has the mockbuster slot all to itself.
Todd is bringing an escort named Anastasia home. She doesn’t seem overly concerned when he brings her not to his apartment but to a basement full of candles, chains, and a book with an eye in the middle of the cover. She even reads from it, which is a big mistake. Four figures appear and hack her to pieces as Todd watches.

"Something doesn't feel right here." "Exactly – something is off...!" Uncork'd Entertainment has unveiled a trailer for a wacky indie horror film titled Mary Had A Little Lamb, from filmmaker Jason Arber. Last month, we shared the news that ITN Studios, the company that brought us Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, is teaming with producer/director Louisa Warren on two fractured fairy tale horror movies: Cinderella’s Curse and Sleeping Beauty’s Massacre. Now Variety and our friends at Bloody Disgusting have gotten their hands on some images that offer a preview of Cinderella’s Curse, and you can check them out at the bottom of this article. One of those images even gives the first look at the film’s “cunning, cruel, and deadly” version of the Fairy Godmother!
Coming our way from ChampDog Films, Cinderella’s Curse was scripted by Harry Boxley. Warren told Bloody Disgusting, “This an incredibly unique spin on the Cinderella we all love and know. There are going to be some truly horrific deaths by her hands. I think the gore hounds are in for a treat in my dark retelling.

ITN Studios, the distributor behind cult micro budget horror “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey,” has released a first look at its upcoming project “Cinderella’s Curse.”

“Cinderella’s Curse” is a spine-chilling twist on the familiar fairytale.

Producers/directors Louisa Warren and Scott Jeffrey have worked together multiple times, crafting films about creepy mermaids, scarecrows, and dolls. They’ve even made several horror Tooth Fairy movies. Jeffrey is currently collaborating with Rhys Frake-Waterfield on a series of films that will put a horror twist on public domain children’s stories like Peter Pan, Bambi, and Winnie the Pooh – and it started with Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. The idea of retelling placid and gentle children's fairy tales in a bloody, horror milieu is hardly new. Think of a fairy tale or beloved children's classic, and odds are good that someone has already transformed it into a horror movie. Off the top of my head: Neil Jordan made a horror movie out of Little Red Riding Hood with "The Company of Wolves" in 1984. Later, in 1996, filmmaker Matthew Bright brought the same story into a scuzzy modern setting with "Freeway." 1997 saw the release of "Snow White: A Tale of Terror" with Sigourney Weaver as the evil queen.
"The Little Mermaid" was transformed into an awesome 2015 horror musical called "The Lure." Pinocchio starred in "Pinocchio's Revenge." The Gingerbread Man was transformed into "The Gingerdead Man". A quick stroll through the spider-webbed hallways of Tubi might reveal titles like "The Curse of Sleeping Beauty," 1995's "Rumplestiltskin," and multiple films called "The Tooth Fairy.

Friends will gather to take revenge in the upcoming Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2, a sequel to this year’s viral slasher movie that scared up $6 million at the box office.
Rhys Frake-Waterfield is back to direct the Pooh-based slasher sequel, and THR reports this week that filming is set to begin on the brand new continuation this coming Fall.
In fact, Blood and Honey 2 has already scored several international sales deals, including in Mexico, Germany, Italy, France, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, and India.
ITN will release the sequel here in the United States. THR notes, “The production is expected to include a substantially larger budget than its predecessor film.”
In this version of the classic story, Christopher Robin is headed off to college and he has abandoned his old friends, which then leads to the duo embracing their inner monsters.

Director Rhys Frake-Waterfield’s movie Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey was given a nine day theatrical release in the US back in February, and now it has received a digital release! Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is available for rent or purchase on Amazon’s Prime Video at This Link.
A.A. Milne’s 1926 children’s book Winnie-the-Pooh and the characters in it lapsed into the public domain at the start of last year, and that’s how Frake-Waterfield was able to make this movie happen, no permission required. Originally set for a one-night-only theatrical release, the pre-release viral success of Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey led to an expanded theatrical release from Fathom Events, which began on February 15. The film played in theaters here in the United States through February 23, initially in 1,652 theaters but very quickly cut down to a few hundred.
Despite the relatively limited release – and also in spite of the largely negative reviews – Blood and Honey managed to scare up an impressive $1.7 million domestically. The slasher movie has also been released in many territories outside the United States, and the film’s worldwide total is even more impressive: a whopping $4 million at the time of writing!

When news broke that a horror film called Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey would premiere in 2023, people certainly had mixed reactions. Whether you loved or hated the idea from the get-go, you probably had the same question as everyone else: How could they get away with creating a horror version of Winnie the Pooh without committing copyright violations?
The answer is complicated. But this was clearly a team that did their homework. The film premiered on February 15 without a legal hitch. It’s been so popular with viewers that a sequel has already been greenlit. Here’s how it all unfolded:
The history of Winnie the Pooh and how Disney got involved
Roger Lewis on fine form with Winnie the Pooh. The first line:
"Now that the Winnie-the-Pooh books have fallen out of copyright, I can say with impunity I never could stand the fat wee bastard."
Then he really gets going.

Rhys Frake-Waterfield is plotting a horror cinematic universe based on beloved children’s story characters that are in the public domain. He was the director of the recently released Winnie-the-Pooh horror movie Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey (read our review Here), and he’s in development on movies like Bambi: The Reckoning and Peter Pan: Neverland Nightmare. Since these characters are public domain, he doesn’t have to ask anyone’s permission to put a horrific twist on their stories. But if copyright wasn’t an issue, Frake-Waterfield would also like to make horror movies featuring characters like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Teletubbies.
Speaking with Collider, Frake-Waterfield said, “I’ve really been excited by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lately because I think the story has a very kind of horrifying undertone anyway because it’s these half-human, half-turtles who live in the sewer who have a rat king who they follow,...

Director Rhys Frake-Waterfield’s movie Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey will be getting a nine day theatrical release though Fathom Events in the US on February 15th – but a couple weeks away from that date, Frake-Waterfield has revealed that he’s already working on a sequel! And while developing the follow-up, he’s drawing inspiration from last year’s indie hit Terrifier 2…
Speaking with SFX Magazine (we send our thanks out to Games Radar for spreading the word), Frake-Waterfield said that he had Halloween, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Wrong Turn on his mind while he was crafting Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. “And as we’re going into the sequel soon, Terrifier 2 is going to be one of my key reference points. I want to make sure I go as big and epic as they went with that. I want to try and push it even more.

A.A. Milne’s 1926 children’s book Winnie-the-Pooh and the characters in it lapsed into the public domain at the start of this year – and as soon as that happened, writer/director Rhys Frake-Waterfield was right there to take advantage of their public domain status. For his feature debut, Frake-Waterfield has dropped the iconic characters of Winnie the Pooh and Piglet into a slasher called Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. A trailer for the film has now been released, and you can watch it in the embed above.
Frake-Waterfield explained to Variety that Pooh and Piglet

Because they’ve had to fend for themselves so much, they’ve essentially become feral. So they’ve gone back to their animal roots.

"Why are you doing this?! Please!!" Time for something extra crazy. An official trailer has been unveiled for the film known as Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey, a twisted and violent slasher horror involving everyone's favorite bear. This ain't Disney's Pooh, this is straight out of Hell, and it's quite freaky. How did they make this movie, you ask?! Well, Winnie the Pooh, created by author A.A. Milne and illustrator E.H. Shepard, went into the public domain this year meaning anyone can adapt and use the character any way they wish right now. Blood and Honey follows the lovable Pooh and Piglet as they go on a rampage after Christopher Robin abandons them. It stars Amber Doig-Thorne, Maria Taylor, May Kelly, Danielle Scott, and Craig David Dowsett as the vengeful. This seems like your standard slasher flick spiced up with some Winnie the Pooh madness. Maybe this will be fun to watch?...
