Director's Statement: I am a North American-based Film Director originally from Sofia, Bulgaria. Being an immigrant, it has been a complete shift in viewpoints to restart life in a place worlds apart. Living between them has given me invaluable dualistic cultural, and social perspectives. This has prioritized my focus on finding authenticity in the underlying human condition rather than the exoteric. I began as a Theatre Performer who has made a habit of prioritizing the scenic truth.
My long-term aspiration as an artist and collaborator is to spill, break, and expand the boundaries of the self, the "ego." I want every viewer to walk away with questions that will guide them closer to a "real," direct, and present experience of themselves. I strive to treat every frame in a film to serve that purpose and to cultivate that with each individual I work with.
Within my process, it's always about creating without the creator. Having the work fully take over so that I minimize staining the process with a shortsighted fingerprint. Over the years, I have had the privilege of collaborating with diverse voices, and companies such as Paramount, Disney, Netflix, Nat Geo, ReelOne Entertainment, BrandPower, and StayLucid Productions, just to name a few. I have been intimately involved in almost every stage of the Production process for some of their slates. One of the most important lessons I have learned is that sometimes the best way to lead is to listen, learn, support, and hold a space.
