Jagjaguwar, the finest indie rock label in the Midwest, have inked a deal with Seattle-based folk group The Cave Singers. The band will soon be hitting the studio with producer Jason Dunn (Black Mountain, Boris) to record an LP to be released early next year.
If you happen to be in the Pacific Northwest in August, you can hear their new material live at Pickathon in Happy Valley, Oregon and the No Depression Festival in Redmond, Wa. Shortly after those dates, they’ll be heading overseas to tour China.
Be sure to familiarize yourself with the group so you can say “I knew them when …” after they blow up.
