Steve Martin and Martin Short forged a strong friendship after starring alongside each other in Three Amigos. The comedic duo has gone on the road with comedy tours, including A Night You’ll Forget for the Rest of Your Life and Now You See Them, Soon You Won’t. The two have recently collaborated on a critically acclaimed show for Hulu, Only Murders in the Building. Three Amigos would also feature the comedy stylings of Chevy Chase, and while he hasn’t stayed as close to Martin and Short as much, he is very much associated with the two through the John Landis comedy classic.
According to MovieWeb, Chase recently appeared on the podcast, Wtf with Marc Maron. Chase would speak about his Amigos, “I love those two — very, very funny guys. They’re doing whatever they’re doing now. I hadn’t watched it [Only Murders in the Building] — maybe once,...

Chevy Chase isn’t flinching a smile while remembering his “Community” days.
Stopping by Mark Maron’s “Wtf” podcast in an episode released on Monday, the actor explained his less-than-thrilled attitude towards the Dan Harmon sitcom.
“I honestly felt the show wasn’t funny enough for me, ultimately. I felt a little bit constrained,” he remembered. “Everybody had their bits, and I thought they were all good. It just wasn’t hard-hitting enough for me.”

While on the topic of his character Pierce Hawthorne, Chevy said he didn’t mind the writing, but his problem was with the people.
“I didn’t mind the character. I just felt that it was… I felt happier being alone. I just didn’t want to be surrounded by that table, every day, with those people. It was too much.

Chevy Chase has once again taken aim at his former sitcom Community.
The 79-year-old actor says NBC’s comedy series, which ran for six seasons, wasn’t funny enough for him.
Appearing on Marc Maron’s Wtf podcast, Chase was asked about the series and declared, “Honestly, I felt the show wasn’t funny enough for me, ultimately … I felt a little bit constrained … Everyone had their bits and stuff. I thought they were all good, but it just wasn’t hard-hitting enough for me.”
Chase also suggested he didn’t particularly like spending time with his castmates (the show starred Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Donald Glover and Yvette Nicole Brown, among others). “I didn’t mind the character … I felt happier being alone, in a sense … I just didn’t want to be surrounded by that table every day with those people. It was too much.”
