Priscilla Presley and Riley Keough’s settlement of Lisa Marie Presley’s estate now has formal court approval, averting what could have been a multimillion-dollar public legal battle.
The final un-redacted agreement, filed in Los Angeles County probate court and rubber-stamped by a judge this week, states Priscilla can be buried as close to Elvis as possible at Graceland and that her son, Navarone Garibaldi, can participate in the memorial ceremony.

Elvis Presley spent half of his lifetime in recording studios, performing songs written for him by other artists. In turn, his daughter Lisa Marie Presley wrote much of her own music and had to find her way as a performer outside her famous father’s shadow. She once revealed that Elvis would have “understood” her “path” as an artist because of the “redundant” aspects of his career.

Lisa Marie Presley‘s twin daughters graduated from middle school on Friday, and Priscilla Presley was there to see them close that chapter in their young life.
Priscilla, 77, donned a black and white jacket over a white blouse, black pants and black boots when she attended Harper and Finley’s graduation ceremony in Los Angeles. The 14-year-old twins’ father, Michael Lockwood, was also there. Priscilla, however, remained separate from the rest of the family and, according to the Daily Mail, left the event on her own.
That she remained separate from the family and left on her own seems to indicate that the dust still has not settled after Priscilla waged a war over who should control Lisa Marie’s trust. After a months-long battle, Priscilla, Riley and Michael, who represented the twins in the estate battle, all came to an agreement earlier this week regarding Lisa Marie’s estate.

Season 1 of "Reacher" ended in much the same way as most of Lee Child's Jack Reacher novels: with the eponymous ex-military police officer hitch-hiking out of town. As Blind Blake's "Police Dog Blues" plays out over the closing shots and the bluesman croons the refrain, "All my life I've been a travelin' man," Prime Video's hugely popular series hammers home the point that Jack Reacher doesn't stay in one place too long.
Before leaving the fictional town of Margrave, Georgia, Alan Ritchson's Reacher makes sure to visit Willa Fitzgerald's Roscoe Conklin to reveal, in particularly grandiose fashion, that "A hundred thousand years ago there were people who stayed by the campfire and people who wandered. I'm pretty sure I'm a direct descendent of the wandering type." But Reacher is, of course, descended solely from the pen of Lee Child, who envisioned the character as a sort...

Lisa Marie Presley’s custody battle with ex-husband Michael Lockwood is seemingly nearing a conclusion.
Lisa Marie’s attorney, Gary Fishbein, attended the custody hearing via Zoom on Tuesday, and told Judge Joseph Lipner that the case should be dismissed because nothing else regarding the custody battle is pending and his client is “sadly no longer with us.”
Fishbein said their marriage status was dissolved and child support order survives. Custody will go to Lockwood unless another family disputes under the probate court. The judge did not yet officially grant the request for dismissal.
Lisa Marie married Lockwood — her fourth husband — in January 2006. In 2016, Lisa Marie filed for divorce from Lockwood after 10 years of marriage. The pair shared 14-year-old twin daughters, Harper and Finley.

Elvis Presley was devoted to his only daughter, Lisa Marie Presley. He cherished the time when Lisa lived at Graceland full-time before he and her mother, Priscilla Presley, divorced. After they split, Lisa spent her childhood with her father at Graceland on vacations and holidays. However, some of these visits caused strife between the king of rock and roll and Priscilla, who believed Elvis spoiled Lisa Marie a little too much for her liking.

Riley Keough “is disappointed” that Priscilla Presley is challenging Lisa Marie Presley‘s trust. A source tells Et that Riley feels that Priscilla’s challenge to the late Lisa Marie’s will goes against “her mom’s wishes.”
“Riley wants to keep the family together and keep Lisa Marie’s legacy in a positive light, but she feels that her grandmother’s actions are pushing the family apart even more,” the source says. “It’s upsetting to her as she does want to have a relationship with Priscilla, but at this point in time they are not close.”
As for Lisa Marie, the source says that she “did not have a healthy or close relationship” with Priscilla prior to her death, adding that things were “very complicated” between them.

What would life on Earth look like in a future where humans are still very much alive but no longer in charge? Landscape With Invisible Hand — directed by Cory Finley (Thoroughbreds, Bad Education) and based on the 2017 young adult novel by M.T. Anderson — depicts a depressed, dryly humorous society crumbling away at a steady pace. Little aliens called “the Vuvv” have landed and torpedoed the economy, leaving most humans either underemployed or out of work entirely. The wealthy have already abandoned the planet to live “up there” with the aliens, while everyone still on Earth is left to forage for what’s left of the money, land and food. Instead of fearsome creatures with horrifying lasers and military might, the Vuvv are tiny bureaucrats with no empathy for the poverty their soulless business practices have created.

Lisa Marie Presley was always clear about who she wanted to leave Graceland to, according to Elvis Presley Enterprises managing partner, Joel Weinshanker.
Joel made an appearance on Sirius Xm’s Elvis Radio on Wednesday, Feb.1, which would have been Lisa Marie’s 55th birthday. She passed away suddenly on Jan. 12.
Joel said of Graceland, “Everyone knew that when Elvis passed away, he left everything to his little girl. He did so knowing that she would be the one to keep his legacy going,” People reported.
“We got along so well because we were both trying to do what was best for Elvis, regardless of what somebody else was trying to do, regardless of what a family member would do,” he continued.
“Lisa couldn’t be bought, she couldn’t be pushed. If she felt that something wasn’t in Elvis’ best interest, it was never about money. And she...

Priscilla Presley is remembering her daughter Lisa Marie Presley on what would have been her 55th birthday. Priscilla posted a carousel of photos of her daughter on Instagram on Feb. 1, along with a caption commemorating her life. "Today would have been Lisa's 55th birthday," she wrote. "My wish is to protect my three grandchildren and keep our family together. From the first moment I held Lisa in my arms, I've protected, loved and guided her, as I have my son. Our hearts are broken, and I am having to learn to live without my only daughter. We truly love all of you, and we feel your prayers. Thank you so much for caring so deeply for our family."

Priscilla Presley is contesting “the authenticity and validity” of a “purported 2016 amendment” to Lisa Marie Presley‘s trust naming Riley Keough a co-trustee, claiming “there are many issues surrounding” it and, therefore, the judge should declare the amendment invalid.
According to court documents, obtained by Et, Priscilla filed legal documents Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court challenging the 2016 amendment that named Lisa Marie’s children — Riley and Benjamin Keough — as co-trustees. In the docs, Priscilla claims she and Lisa Marie’s former business manager, Barry Siegel, were appointed co-trustees on Jan. 29, 1993 when Lisa Marie “executed a revocable living trust, which she amended and completely restated on Jan. 27, 2010.” Priscilla added “both the 1993 original trust and 2010 restatement appear to be carefully drafted by competent estate planning attorneys.”

In the wake of her daughter’s sudden death two weeks ago, Priscilla Presley is asking a California judge to step in and reject an alleged 2016 amendment to Lisa Marie Presley’s living trust as “invalid.”
Elvis’s widow claims in a new court filing that since Lisa Marie’s Jan. 12 death, she has “discovered” a disputed document seeking to remove her and former business manager Barry Siegel as co-trustees of her daughter’s Promenade Trust. The origins of the alleged amendment were not clear from the 2016 filing.

One travels to the Sundance Film Festival in the dead of winter for numerous reasons, chief of them being the promise of a front-row seat to confident debuts like Cory Finley’s delectably dark “Thoroughbreds.” Indeed, the playwright-turned-filmmaker demonstrated himself an original voice with his first cinematic outing in 2017, proving his promise with the equally sophisticated “Bad Education,” about a real-life public school embezzling scandal.
Marking Finley’s homecoming to Sundance, “Landscape with Invisible Hand” feels less like a return for the writer-director, and more like a swing-for-the-fences departure with mixed results. On the one hand, this impressively scoped science-fiction/satire blend with some old-school visual craft signals Finley’s natural aptitude for shepherding big Hollywood productions, being the largest scaled project of his still-ascendant career. Refreshingly, “Landscape with Invisible Hand” looks and feels like a big-screen experience complete with spaceships and creatively designed dystopian locales, an increasingly rare accomplishment...

For the last seven decades, aliens have been observing humanity, waiting for the right moment to touch down. When they finally do, after the world’s best military efforts to scare them fail, they broker deals with those wealthy enough to live high above the planet in their floating cityscapes. The less fortunate are left to fend for the scraps that remain of Earth, which now relies on the synthetic, cheap mass production of cubed food the aliens invented, along with other “innovations” to improve productivity and labor costs. This is the world of Cory Finley’s third feature Landscape with Invisible Hand, an adaptation of M.T. Anderson’s novel that initially intrigues with its lo-fi sci-fi ambition but has too much on its mind without saying anything interesting at all.

War of the Worlds. Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Independence Day. Signs. All of these films depict alien invasions as they are happening, but what happens after the fact? And what if, by some small miracle, we come to an agreement with the invaders and find a way to live alongside them? That’s exactly what Cory Finley‘s Landscape With Invisible Hand aims to find out, albeit to mixed results.
Taking place a few years after a hyper-intelligent alien race known as the Vuvv took over planet Earth, Landscape With Invisible Hand subverts expectations by informing us that they did so through soft economic power rather than brute force, bringing wondrous technology to Earth that only the wealthiest could afford. This technology rendered most jobs obsolete, leaving the rest of humanity to scrape together money in the tourism industry.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced their nominations for the 2023 Oscars on Jan. 24, and Austin Butler can officially add "Oscar nominee" to his impressive résumé. The actor, who's seen critical acclaim for his performance as Elvis Presley in the Baz Luhrmann film "Elvis," snagged an Oscar nomination for the role in the best actor category. He's up against stiff competition, his fellow nominees including, Colin Farrell for his role in "The Banshees of Inisherin," Brendan Fraser for "The Whale," Paul Mescal for "Aftersun," and Bill Nighy for "Living."
Butler's nomination is bittersweet, coming just over a week after Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis's daughter, died at the age of 54 from cardiac arrest on Jan. 12. Lisa Marie was an outspoken fan and supporter of "Elvis" the movie and Butler as the actor who took on the role of her late father. On May 14, 2022, after seeing "Elvis" twice,...

There was a semi-awkward moment at tonight’s Sundance Film Festival premiere of the Tiffany Haddish-led sci-fi film Landscape with Invisible Hand. During a post-screening Q&a with castmembers and filmmaker Cory Finley, an audience member asked what he prefaced as “a provocative question.”
Posing it “mainly for the producers and also for the Sundance programming team,” the questioner asked the panel if they “found it ironic that you have a film that’s about exploited young artists and also has studio financing having its world premiere at an indie film festival.”
Haddish quickly responded.
“First of all,” she began with exaggerated emphasis, to the crowd’s amusement, “I’m a producer on this film, and I didn’t feel exploited. And I feel like it’s very clear [Finlay] stood up for what he believed in, and I think that’s what every artist should do.”

At Lisa Marie Presley‘s memorial service in Graceland, her close friend Sarah Ferguson shared a few words from her late mother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II.
The Duchess of York and ex-wife of Prince Andrew said at the ceremony on Sunday: “My late mother-in-law used to say that nothing can be said, can begin to take away the anguish and the pain of these moments because grief is the price we pay for love. And how right she was.”
This quote came from the queen’s statements after the 9/11 attacks. Her grandson, Prince William also repeated these same lines when she died last fall.
