- Returned to cabaret performing shortly after a live TV appearance in Australia singing as part of the Nicole Kidman/Keith Urban wedding celebration. His new show, titled "Wake Up with Nelson! Confessions of a Morning TV Personality," featured musical direction by Mitchell Kaplan.
- On October 1, 2007, he became the Hollywood correspondent for yet another international morning news show...this time for New Zealand's TV3 with the debut of a programme which coincidentally shares the same name as its Australian counterpart: "Sunrise." Aspen teased that he literally goes "around the world" every day...from Hollywood to New Zealand, Australia, Ireland and England.
- (1 March 20019). In 2019, Nelson joined the prestigious "54 Below at Sea" series, taking his popular cabaret show on board luxury cruise lines. Michael Feinstein's "54 Below" features theater notables; Nelson's offering is an interactive evening of songs and stories reflecting on his 25+ years as an Entertainment reporter.
