It’s easy to see why in this uncertain political climate we’re turning our attention to fiction to draw inspiration. While the idea of Oprah Winfrey running for President isn’t fiction by any means, we’re starting to get a sense that politics is becoming more about hope and even inspirational figures than it is about policy. Perhaps Trump has changed the political landscape forever and we’re destined to never have a “politician” in the White House again. But if we turn our attention to fiction as in books, movies, and television there are a number of characters that we’ve loved over

[Youtube "qPey6MWrLlA"] C.J. Cregg is having a moment. After Allison Janney revived her West Wing character at a White House press briefing last week, the no-nonsense press secretary showed up on The Late Late Show Wednesday night alongside host James Corden - but she wasn't alone. Bradley Whitford, a.k.a. White House Deputy Chief of Staff Josh Lyman, also joined in for Corden's riff on West Wing scribe Aaron Sorkin's signature walk-and-talk.Before the chat and swag starts, Janney's C.J.) asks, "Sir, we need to talk about the jokes for tonight's monologue - should we talk about them in your office,...

Former West Wing star Richard Schiff is headed to NCIS.
Over the course of multiple episodes, Schiff will portray Harper Dearing, an eccentric international businessman who's no stranger to hobnobbing with the world's elite, according to TV Guide, which first reported his casting.
However, he is haunted by the loss of his son, who died in a terrorist bombing some years ago. That should give him an interesting perspective to offer the NCIS team, show-runner Gary Glasberg says:
"The mysterious character of Harper Dearing is enormously complex and Richard will bring unexpected nuance to the part. This is a treat that will help propel us into the finale of what's been a tremendous season."
"I was a huge West Wing fan. Richard Schiff is a brilliantly gifted actor and I'm thrilled he's joining us."

7:34Pm: Joining the jam-packed house at the legendary Saban Theater in Hollywood are executive producers Dean Holland, Dan Goor, co-creator Michael Schur, Retta (Donna Meagle), Jim O’Heir (Jerry Gergish), Chris Pratt (Andy Dwyer) and Amy Poehler (Leslie Knope). Also joining members of the cast and creative team are cardboard cutouts of cast members missing in action, including Aziz Ansari, Rob Lowe, Aubrey Plaza, and Adam Scott. Not included was Nick Offerman, who hoped to make it despite shooting a movie in nearby Burbank (He didn’t!).
7:35Pm: “I think that Ben is the love of Leslie’s life,” says Amy Poehler with regards to her on screen love life. “And I think this season was really great because Mike [Schur] and all the writers did such a good job of exquisitely torturing us by pulling them apart and pushing them together. It was a laugh a minute from the moment the PaleyFest panel for NBC’s Parks and Recreation began last night at Beverly Hills’ Saban Theatre. The first 22 minutes, in fact, were especially hilarious, considering that the time was filled with a screening of this Thursday’s new episode of the comedy, titled “Lucky,” which was notable because it was written by series star Nick Offerman, who plays Ron Swanson.
The episode was focused largely around an interview that Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) was supposed to do with a scandal-obsessed host played — rather memorably — by Will & Grace’s Sean Hayes...

Isn't this ironic?
After years of Lost fans craving resolutions to a number of questions, the events that led to Oceanic 815 crashing on the island were, in many ways, tied to what happened centuries ago - when someone withheld important answers from those seeking them.
Whether you loved or hated "Across the Sea," it's hard to not smirk at Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof for creating a show that is such a reflection of its viewers.
You want answers, Allison Janney's spiritual, unbalanced, selfish (more on that below) fake mother essentially told us? That's fine. But "every question will simply lead to another question."
This, of course, has been the chief complaint fans have had about Lost from the outset. I don't believe the creators are just being cute; I believe this is the central message of the show:
There is a higher power at work. But it's impossible to know everything about it.

Love House or hate House - and, we admit, it's been stuck in a rut this season - even the harshest critics must give the show credit for often trying something new.
At its core, the show will always be a medical procedural... but it shook up House's team at the height of its ratings; it dedicated a two-hour episode to the trouble's doctors attempts at recovery to open this season; and it gave Wilson the stage this week in a great, interesting new episode titled "Wilson."
Without a doubt, the Wilson/House relationship has become the most entertainment aspect of the series. The friendship was turned on its head this week, though, as events focused on Wilson and his patient, shoving House into the background role of advising pal and co-worker.
Read a detailed recap of "Wilson" now and let us know your thoughts on it.
Extra points must...
