Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not watched the Aug. 31 episode of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
An eventful cocktail party dominated Tuesday’s “Bachelor in Paradise.”
The episode resumed with conflict between enemies Aaron Clancy and Thomas Jacobs over their love triangle with Tammy Ly. Tammy tried and failed to de-escalate Aaron, who was emotional and felt “betrayed” by her actions. Her cries were met with hostility, and the two ended their relationship before the rose ceremony.
Another love triangle was in the midst of exploding, as Karl Smith and Chasen Nick fought over Deandra Kanu. Karl had given Deandra a bracelet as a gift to show his affection, and Nick opted to give her a necklace to one-up the gesture. Deandra returned the bracelet to Karl, noting that she didn’t want to lead him on.
Nick’s gift rubbed Karl the wrong way, who accused him of trying to compete.

There’s trouble in paradise!
As new contestants arrived on the “Bachelor in Paradise” beach, established couples faltered. The first victims were Maurissa Gunn and Connor Brennan, who seemingly broke up after Maurissa’s overnight in the “boom boom room” with newcomer Riley Christian. Connor admitted to feeling “deflated” upon the news and reflected on Maurissa’s less-than-transparent recap of her date.
Even the most secure couples weren’t safe. Ivan Hall and Jessenia Cruz had been a steadfast pair since the beginning of paradise, but their foundation crumbled at the arrival of bromance duo Chasen Nick and Chris Conran.
Chasen and Chris met on Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams’ season of “The Bachelorette.” The two became fast friends and entered paradise arm-in-arm with a double date card. Chris fixated on Jessenia from the start,...

The last episode of “Bachelor in Paradise” included an elimination ceremony that left 10 pairs remaining on the beach but promised more contestants would enter. The men previously passed out the roses, but this time the power dynamics shifted and the women were in charge.
Before fresh competitors joined the cast, another newcomer entered — the season’s second celebrity guest host, Lance Bass. The former member of *Nsync congratulated the cast for surviving week one and reminded the men it was their turn to step up their game and woo the women.
The challenge was immediately met with new suitors joining. Thomas Jacobs, known as a villain on Katie Thurston’s season of “The Bachelorette,” entered Paradise with a date card in hand. His presence sparked aggressive reactions from the men, who disliked...

Week two of “Bachelor in Paradise” began with the beloved cast title cards and introductions. Viewers then picked up from last week’s unexpected entrance where former cast member Demi Burnett returned to the beach.
The self-described “troublemaker” arrived with a date card and identified Brendan Morais as a potential suitor after meeting with Kenny and Connor. Brendan — who had recently been linked to Natasha Parker — accepted the invitation and headed to the date with Demi.
Natasha was disappointed by Brendan’s acceptance, as they expressed interest in each other during the first day. In addition to Natasha and Brendan, several other couples started to emerge: Tammy Ly and Aaron Clancy, Tahzjuan Hawkins and Tre Cooper, Maurissa Gunn and Connor, Mari Pepin-Solis and Kenny, Noah Erb and Abigail Herringer, Ivan Hall and Jessenia Cruz,...

“The Bachelorette’s” Katie Thurston kicked off the week’s episode of the ABC reality dating competition with a challenge for her men: “W.O.W.O” — a week off whacking off. The challenge was born out of a conversation with hosts Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe, during which Katie came up with the idea to ban the men from masturbating. Kaitlyn delivered the news to the contestants, which kicked off a sexual-innuendo-filled episode.
After Katie’s challenge, Justin Glaze received the week’s first date. He and Katie spent the day participating in a fake wedding, where the two dressed up in formal wear and exchanged vows. Later in the night, Katie admitted she was overcome with emotion at the visuals of a wedding ceremony, as it reminded her of her late...

The third episode of Season 17 of “The Bachelorette” led to some emotional declarations, not least of all from lead Katie Thurston, who shared a story about being sexually assaulted.
During the first date of the week, nine men joined Katie and former Bachelor Nick Viall for a day of truth-telling. Each man took turns revealing their own histories and red flags, ranging from relationship mistakes to personal reckonings. During the confessions, Hunter Montgomery admitted to feeling like he “failed” as a husband and father after his divorce, Thomas Jacobs shared he originally looked to the show to “build a great platform,” and Connor Brennan confessed to cheating on his ex after subjecting her to months of drunken verbal abuse.

‘The Bachelorette’ Recap: Accusations Fly That Katie Thurston’s Men Are ‘Here for the Wrong Reasons’
Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not yet watched the June 14 episode of “The Bachelorette.”
Katie Thurston’s reign as the sex-positive Bachelorette continued during her first group date of the new season of ABC’s dating competition. She was joined by podcast host Heather McDonald with 10 of her remaining men as they competed for the title of “The Greatest Lover of All Time.”
Each man was encouraged to interpret the prompt in their own way — from sexual to subtle. The performances ranged from Connor Brennan’s innocent song-serenade to Tre Cooper’s erotic puppet performance. Karl Smith received negative attention for his long winded-sexual monologue, but it was Mike Planeta — whose poetic confession as a virgin — was named the winner. Despite anxieties before the performance, his candor was rewarded by Katie.
A cocktail date followed the performances, where Karl emerged as the season’s first villain. His...
