Big Brother alum Derek Frazier is ready to return to TV.
Derek finished as the runner-up on BB23, where Xavier Prather was named the winner.
That season of Big Brother was dominated by one alliance, as The Cookout took all its members to the final six.
Derek often posts on social media about what’s happening in reality TV, and now he is shooting his shot for several shows.
There had been rumors about him appearing on a season of The Challenge USA, but that didn’t come to fruition.
Could Big D be an interesting name to invite back for a future season of Big Brother?

Big Brother 24 winner Taylor Hale shared some fun new videos about her relationship with Joseph Abdin.
Taylor and Joseph met as BB24 cast members, and it looked like they were developing feelings for one another.
An official showmance for Jaylor never panned out, mostly because Joseph was evicted during the infamous Split House twist.
As a reminder, the BB24 cast was split in half midway through the season, with half the players forced to live a week in the backyard.
Joseph recently posted a remark about his BB24 elimination, answering a query from host Julie Chen Moonves about the most memorable Double Evictions.
After playing Big Brother, Taylor and Joseph reunited in the real world, where they began a romantic relationship. The couple didn’t remain together but have stayed very close since then.

The Challenge winner, Zach Nichols, delivered his latest take on the competition series, which many viewers may agree with.
He last competed on MTV’s War of the Worlds 2 season, where he stayed under the radar and worked with Team USA under the guidance of Paulie Calafiore, Cara Maria Sorbello, and others.
During that season, they ran a large alliance in the game, eliminating former show winners Johnny Bananas and Laurel Stucky.
Ultimately, Cara, Paulie, Zach, and others from Team USA reached the final, which was most of the plan. Unfortunately, they lost it to a Team UK squad featuring Ct Tamburello and Jordan Wiseley.
In his latest podcast episode, Zach discussed how alliances hurt the show and make it less entertaining.
He mentioned how he felt the show’s landscape could change with more people working together under different circumstances.

Ahead of Big Brother‘s return to CBS with season 25, Julie Chen Moonves is opening up to Et about who the network originally wanted as host and how much longer she sees herself working on the reality TV competition.
When asked if there’s anything the fans of the hit series — which sees a group of strangers forced to co-exist in a shared house while they are isolated from the outside world — don’t know, Moonves says that CBS wanted another daytime TV fixture to host. “I wasn’t the first choice to host. It was offered and turned down by Meredith Vieira,” she says of the former moderator for The View.

Big Brother fans have seen alliances form before, but big ones usually don’t last. Tiffany Mitchell, Kyland Young, Derek Frazier, Xavier Prather, and Azah Awasum formed The Cookout in the first week. They later included Chaddha.
They were the Black houseguests and their mission was to have the first Black winner of Big Brother. Mitchell came up with a plan for all of them to align with someone outside the alliance. This helped them keep tabs on their strategy. If someone in The Cookout were on the block, they would have the votes to evict the other person.

Big Brother 23 runner-up Derek “Big D” Frazier believes his weight plays a part in why he hasn’t appeared on other competition shows, as several of his castmates recently returned to reality TV for The Challenge and The Amazing Race.
Derek Frazier thinks competition shows won’t cast him due to his weight
Several Big Brother alumni have become recurring cast members on the MTV competition series The Challenge, including Faysal “Fessy” Shafaat, Josh Martinez, Amber Borzotra, and Kaycee Clark, with the latter two winning a season. Additionally, season 20’s Angela Rummans and season 23’s Alyssa Lopez and Derek Xiao, and Cookout members Azah Awasum, Kyland Young, Tiffany Mitchell, and winner Xavier Prather joined the first season of CBS competitive spinoff The Challenge: USA.
Shortly after casting for USA Season 2 and The Challenge 39 reportedly began in late February 2023, BB23 runner-up Derek “Big D” Frazier tweeted his belief about not getting called for the series.

Big Brother 24 cast member Michael Bruner has his sights on making it all the way to the end, and he has some plans in place to make sure that he gets to see the confetti drop on finale night.
Recently, Michael took the time to speak to the cameras on the Big Brother live feeds, revealing the order that he wants his fellow houseguests to get evicted this summer.
Michael continues to remain very loyal to The Leftovers alliance, even though there were a few moments when he could have gone his own way. A big chance was when he was Head of Household, but he felt that Daniel Durston was a huge threat who had to be dealt with right away.
Following the eviction of Daniel, Michael wanted to see Jasmine Davis evicted next.

“I played ‘Big Brother’ Season 23 and I backstabbed everyone and they’re all petty little bitches about it,” declared a salty Xavier Prather after being eliminated in the July 27 episode of “The Challenge: USA.” He won 750,000 in the “BB23” house, but he failed to earn any money during his four weeks of grueling competition on “The Challenge.” Xavier’s game came to an end this week when he ended up being betrayed by two people he’d previously blindsided on “Big Brother”: Kyland Young and Alyssa Lopez. #karma

Summer can officially begin now that “Big Brother” is back on our TV screens. Everyone’s favorite guilty pleasure returns to CBS with all new houseguests battling for a 750,000 prize. The theme is Bb Motel and the house will be inspired by a mid-century Palm Springs look. There will be a twist that, according CBS, will send houseguests “scrambling” and America will be able vote to “impact the game” on premiere night.
Host Julie Chen Moonves has also teased to Us Weekly that the “first live eviction night is going to be unlike any eviction night we’ve ever had because it may not be one of the people that you think that ends up getting bounced that night. These houseguests aren’t going to learn of this new twisted twist until that night.” So how did the 90-minute premiere play out on Wednesday night?

Like with the rest of the TV business, 2021 was challenging for reality competition series as they adjusted to production amid a pandemic. No series has been harder to pull off in a pandemic than CBS’ globetrotting The Amazing Race, which was sidelined the longest by Covid and did not air an installment in 2021; its next, 33rd season, premieres in January.
Another long-running reality franchise, ABC’s The Bachelor, made the most headlines in 2021. History was made when Matt James became the first Black lead of the mothership The Bachelor series’ 13th season. In another franchise first, the most recent cycle of The Bachelorette produced the first Black couple when leading lady Michelle Young chose Nayte Olukoya and the duo got engaged.
But the milestones were overshadowed by the racism controversy surrounding The Bachelor host Chris Harrison, who ultimately exited the franchise after 19 years.

When the merge kinda-sorta happened on the sixth episode of “Survivor 41,” it brought together people from all three tribes. Immediately, the show’s four remaining Black castaways — Shantel “Shan” Smith from Ua, Liana Wallace from Yase, and Deshawn Radden and Danny McCray from Luvu — struck an agreement to remain loyal to each other for the rest of the game. While they didn’t give an official name to their group, fans of “Big Brother 23” immediately had flashbacks to the Cookout alliance, which dominated that season and resulted in a Black person winning for the first time ever.
In truth, this 41st cycle of “Survivor” was filmed back in the spring, well before the “BB23” houseguests created their Cookout alliance during the most recent summer installment. “More than any other season that I think I’ve ever watched on ‘Survivor,’ I think Season 41 has been the most diverse and most inclusive and representative of America,...

Not only is Xavier Prather the first Black winner of “Big Brother,” but he’s only the third houseguest to win with a unanimous vote after crushing Derek Frazier 9-0 in the Season 23 finale last week. The other two to do so in a regular “Big Brother” season are Dan Gheesling in Season 10 and Cody Calafiore last year in the second all-stars outing. And if you ask Julie Chen Moonves, X may just be the “Bb” Goat with his quietly dominant game and well-liked personality.
“He’s only the third player to ever get an unanimous win… and in my humble opinion, he may be the best ever to do so,” she told “Entertainment Weekly.” Think about it: The first houseguest to ever do that was Dan Gheesling in season 10. The next time was only last summer when Cody beat Enzo [Palumbo] in ‘All-Stars.’ Cody won in large part because he is a competition beast.

Azah Awasum was one comp away from winning the final Hoh on “Big Brother 23” to secure a spot in the final two, but she messed up on the very first question, ironically, about her fellow Joker girl Britini D’Angelo. Xavier Prather won final Hoh, took Derek Frazier to final two, and then won the game 9-0 to become the show’s first Black winner.

Big D talked a big game on “Big Brother 23,” but when it came down to it, he knew he was not going to beat Xavier Prather to win the $750,000 on Wednesday. “I can’t lie. I knew I was not going to beat X and I knew X deserved it. Even if I had a key, I would’ve turned X’s name, to be honest,” Derek Frazier tells Gold Derby (watch above). “I knew he deserved it, but I damn sure knew I deserved second place. I wanted my second place, Ok?”
He adds: “It feels amazing! I am so happy. It really does tell me that, hey, I put a plan in place and executed it, so I’m very, very happy.”
Big D did not get a single vote from the nine jurors, which did not surprise him either given his blank comp resume. “That jury was sold on competition.

Xavier Prather made “Big Brother” history Wednesday night, becoming the first Black champ in the show’s history after winning Season 23 with a clean 9-0 sweep over Derek Frazier. That was already after making history as part of the first all-Black final six via the Cookout. And just hours after collecting his cool $750,000 check, it was still hard for him to put it into words.
“It feels incredible,” Xavier tells Gold Derby (watch above). “I set out with a goal to do whatever I could to help crown the first Black winner in ‘Bb’ U.S. history and to be that representative now, not only for ‘Big Brother’ but the entire Black community is a huge honor and I just hope I can make everyone proud.”
The 27-year-old lawyer cruised through Part 3 of the final Hoh, nailing every single question before taking Big D, as promised, to the final two and evicting Azah Awasum.

Every year, much is made about the ultimate winner of “Big Brother,” and for good reason as that person played a good enough game to claim the $750,000 grand prize. But there’s another reward that’s handed out every finale night that has us just as excited summer after summer: America’s Favorite Houseguest. This title comes with eternal bragging rights and a $50,000 check. History was made on September 29 as “Big Brother” crowned its first Black winner ever: Xavier Prather. (See the updated winners list.) At the beginning of this 23rd season, an alliance was formed called the Cookout that consisted of six African-American players: Xavier, Derek Frazier, Azah Awasum, Kyland Young, Hannah Chaddha and Tiffany Mitchell. One by one, they voted out all of the other contestants until they remained as the Final 6. On Wednesday night, the jury of nine voted unanimously to award Xavier with the $750,000 grand prize.
The Cookout absolutely dominated this game from Day 1, making them the most successful alliance in “Big Brother” history. After making it to the Top 6, the group’s celebration was short-lived as they were forced to start eating their own. Tiffany and Hannah were the first victims, with both being evicted in a double elimination. Tiffany had rubbed some of her alliance members the wrong...

Big Brother added a new name to its history books on Wednesday night, crowning its first-ever Black winner after a whopping 23 seasons.
Azah Awasum, Derek Frazier and Xavier Prather were the last three houseguests standing at the top of Wednesday’s two-hour finale — and the way TVLine readers saw it, at least, Xavier was poised to win that $750,000 prize when all was said and done. Ahead of the finale, 78 percent of you said Xavier would win Season 23, while 76 percent said he should triumph over Azah and Derek.

After 85 days of scheming, napping and crying, the winner of “Big Brother 23” was finally crowned on Wednesday night. But was it Xavier Prather, Derek Frazier or Azah Awasum who won the $750,000 grand prize and became the show’s first-ever Black winner? After Xavier claimed Part 1 of the final Head of Household competition, Derek and Azah competed in Part 2. The victor then faced off live against Xavier in Part 3 to determine who would become the last Hoh of the summer. That person had the power to bring someone with them to the Final 2, thereby sending the other contestant to the jury house. Also during the two-hour finale, viewers learned the identity America’s Favorite Houseguest, which came with a special $50,000 check.

On September 29, a jury of nine disgruntled evictees will determine which player will win the historic 23rd season of “Big Brother” and simultaneously become the first Black winner and $750,000 richer. We already speculated how the jurors will vote in the three possible Final 2 scenarios, and the predictions align with those thoughts. According to Gold Derby’s finale predictions, Xavier Prather is the likeliest champion with 2/13 odds. Azah Awasum could pull out a shocker, but we’ve only got 13/1 odds favoring that outcome. Derek Frazier is the least likely winner, though not far behind Azah’s chances, with 16/1 odds of his own.

The path to winning cannot be determined until the final two parts of the last Head of Household competition is held. Xavier won Part 1, earning his spot in Part 3, but we won’t know who he faces off against until the finale airs.

Heading into the “Big Brother” house, Xavier Prather knew people would target him because of his athletic build. The former collegiate basketball player chose to conceal his identity as an athlete and attorney, stating in Episode 36, “I needed to do everything in my power to minimize my threat.” Xavier’s strategy paid off and now the 27-year old lawyer from Milwaukee will face off against Azah Awasum and Derek Frazier on Wednesday’s live Season 23 finale hosted by Julie Chen Moonves. For the past week at Gold Derby, “Big Brother 23” fans have been casting their votes for who they want to win America’s Favorite Houseguest and the $50,000 check that comes with it. Three of the 16 houseguests have double-digit support in our recent poll: Tiffany Mitchell in first place, Claire Rehfuss in second place and Derek Xiao in third place. In other words, people who think the popular “Lord of the Latrine” has this thing in the bag may be surprised on finale night. The other players all come in with less than 3% of the vote, suggesting this is indeed a three-way race.

At long last, the Final 3 houseguests on “Big Brother” Season 23 have been named: Xavier Prather (he earned his spot by winning Head of Household and Veto), Derek Frazier (he advanced when X kept him off the chopping block) and Azah Awasum (she has Big D to thank since he didn’t vote to evict her). Poor Kyland Young came close to making it to the finale, but Derek and Xavier decided it was his time to go, so Derek cast the sole vote to evict him. Now, with the finale set for September 29, the Final 3 took some time on Friday to celebrate their accomplishments and look back on past moments. Plus, the trio got emotional watching videos from their loved ones.

In the most contentious eviction of the summer, Kyland Young was sent packing on Thursday’s live episode of “Big Brother,” leading to a heated exchange with Head of Household Xavier Prather. Host Julie Chen Moonves ordered Kyland to leave the house after the 29-year old account executive mentioned Xavier’s nephew lacking an honest role model, an opinion Xavier didn’t react well to. “I highly suggest you stop talking about my nephew,” Xavier said before Julie stepped in and demanded that Kyland leave the house.
Kyland was blindsided by Derek Frazier (Big D), who stated he owes nobody but himself anything in this game. As the sole vote to evict this week, Big D decided to move forward with Xavier and Azah Awasum as the final three competing for the $750,000 grand prize. Kyland becomes juror #8 alongside Hannah Chaddha, Tiffany Mitchell, Alyssa Lopez, Claire Rehfuss, Sarah Beth Steagall, Derek Xiao and Britney D’Angelo.

Of the Final 4 contestants in the “Big Brother” house, only Xavier Prather was able to guarantee himself a place in the Final 3. First he won the Head of Household competition, then he dominated the Power the Veto challenge. That meant Xavier had all of the power heading into the September 23 live episode. Did he keep his nominations of Kyland Young and Azah Awasum the same, or did he save one of them and replace them with Derek Frazier? Whoever he chose to keep off the block would be the person that cast the sole vote to evict this week, securing the Final 3. So who was evicted in fourth place?

On Thursday night, the second double eviction of “Big Brother” Season 23 resulted in the eliminations of Tiffany Mitchell and Hannah Chaddha. That left only four Cookout members still in the game: Derek Frazier, Kyland Young, Xavier Prather and outgoing Head of Household Azah Awasum. Since Azah was not eligible to compete in this week’s Hoh competition, that meant the power would go to one of the guys. Have you recovered from Thursday’s live episode of “Big Brother” yet? It was packed full of excitement with a double elimination that saw the Top 8 winnowed down to the final half dozen houseguests still in the hunt for the season 23 championship and the $750,000 payday. With all that action, it was no surprise that there just wasn’t time for the Week 10 Head of Household competition. But don’t worry, we have all your “Big Brother” 23 spoilers, including the name of the Cookout member who is Week 10 Head of Household.
Kyland Young claimed the Head of Household title for the third time this season. In Week 2 he oversaw the ouster of Week 1 Hoh Brandon “Frenchie” French. And in Week 6, he engineered the near unanimous vote to send Britini D’Angelo packing.
But with his competition now narrowed down to just the other members of the Cookout, Kyland faces a tough task on Friday.

They did it. The Cookout just made “Big Brother” history by becoming the first all-Black alliance to make it to the Final 6. Azah Awasum, Derek Frazier, Hannah Chaddha, Kyland Young, Tiffany Mitchell and Xavier Prather sealed the deal during the September 9 double eviction episode after sending Claire Rehfuss and Alyssa Lopez to the jury house. Now, former “Big Brother” Season 15 winner Andy Herren is going on record saying that the Cookout is the reality TV show’s “best alliance” ever. Do you agree?

As Tiffany Mitchell‘s turbulent second reign as Head of Household comes to a close, the 40-year old phlebotomist has managed to surge in our Gold Derby winner predictions for Season 23 of “Big Brother.” The Detroit native infuriated some of her Cookout alliance that includes Azah Awasum, Derek Frazier, Hannah Chaddha, Kyland Young and Xavier Prather when she refused to throw last week’s Hoh competition so they could target her best friend in the house, Claire Rehfuss. Instead, she held on for victory and took aim at Xavier’s plus-one, Alyssa Lopez.

Heading into Thursday’s live episode of “Big Brother,” the Top 8 were about to become the Top 6, all thanks to the double eviction. For the first time this summer, two houseguests were eliminated in the span of one hour. That meant there were two competitions (Head of Household and Power of Veto), two evictions and two exit interviews with Julie Chen Moonves. Gold Derby’s odds predicted it would be a bad night for non-Cookout members Claire Rehfuss and Alyssa Lopez, but did any of the comps throw a wrench into the main alliance’s plans?

After Wednesday night’s plan-changing Power of Veto comp, the dominating Cookout alliance of “Big Brother 23” is now poised to send Claire Rehfuss home the same week that her closest ally all season, Tiffany Mitchell, is Head of Household. But this Thursday is the first of two double eviction weeks which means two will be walking out of the door and joining the jury. In our combined predictions for the week, the two likeliest to go home in those spots are Claire (21/20 odds to go first) and Alyssa Lopez (43/20 odds to go second).
The original plan for the week was for Tiffany to not win Hoh so that the alliance could target Claire with Tiffany as a pawn, but Tiff threw a wrench into that plan when she refused to bow out of Sunday’s comp and give the win to Kyland Young. With Tiffany in the top floor bedroom...

The “Big Brother” jury house is starting to fill up, with Sarah Beth Steagall joining Britini D’Angelo and Derek Xiao last Thursday. Following Sb’s eviction from the game, the remaining eight players engaged in an endurance Head of Household competition in which they had to stand on their swings for as long as possible. As the outgoing secret Hoh, Claire Rehfuss was not eligible to win. Two other players, Derek Frazier and Alyssa Lopez, fell off their swings during last week’s live show. That meant one of the Cookout members was about to claim the Head of Household power, but who would they nominate for eviction?

While last week’s Head of Household competition was completed during the live show, this week’s didn’t conclude until after the end of the “Big Brother” episode on September 2. We’ve been watching the live feeds and have all your “Big Brother” 23 spoilers including who won this endurance competition to become Week 9 Hoh.
All of the houseguests took part including Claire Rehfuss who was the anonymous Week 8 Hoh and oversaw the eviction of Sarah Beth Steagall. The eight of them took to the ropes on the live show right after they sent Sarah packing. In this classic game of endurance, the houseguests hang onto ropes and balance on discs as they swing around. The last person still holding on will become the new Hoh.
During the final commercial break of the live show, Derek Frazier fell. He was soon followed by Alyssa Lopez, who really need to win...
