Li Xun Huan, the sick gentleman of jianghu, the martial arts world, returns with yet another adventure full of intrigue and bloodshed. Widely claimed as the 100th film directed by Chor Yuen, this straight continuation of “The Sentimental Swordsman” (1977) with most of the original cast returning though some playing different roles, did even better at the box office than its predecessor.

Louis Leterrier will direct the 11th 'Fast and Furious' film. The 49-year-old filmmaker stepped in to replace Justin Lin behind the camera on 'Fast X' and has now been tapped to helm the following movie, which is set to be the final flick in the high-speed franchise.Universal Pictures president Peter Cramer said: "Louis joined the 'Fast and Furious' team seamlessly, with an innate understanding of the franchise that is stronger than ever after two decades."Under his direction, 'Fast X' is a high-intensity thriller with all the spectacular action, emotion, and twists that the fans have come to expect – and then some. We are thrilled that he will continue to work his magic in the director's chair."Louis was drafted in to direct 'Fast X' after shooting had started last year and previously admitted that he nearly turned down the project as he...

Universal took “Fast X” out for another spin on Wednesday, unveiling a new trailer for the 10th installment in the “Fast & Furious” franchise.
In the latest bit of marketing material, Jason Momoa’s villain takes center stage, slinging one-liners at his henchmen and executing a plot to blow up the Vatican.
Momoa plays a character named Dante Reyes, the son of the drug lord vanquished by the heroes in “Fast Five.” As usual in this series of fast cars and ludicrous plot twists, he’s out for revenge.
Momoa isn’t the only new actor set to join the “Fast” universe. The forthcoming film also stars Brie Larson, playing the daughter of Kurt Russell’s character, Mr. Nobody. Rita Moreno makes an appearance too as Dom Toretto’s (Vin Diesel) grandmother. Larson and Moreno are the latest Oscar winners to sit behind the wheel for “Fast & Furious” following Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren.

While Fast X has yet to hit theaters, Universal hasn’t wasted any time in snapping up director Louis Leterrier to return and direct the eleventh (and supposedly final) instalment of the insanely popular franchise. Many will note that Leterrier was a last-minute replacement for Justin Lin, who quit Fast X early in the shoot following a rumoured disagreement with star Vin Diesel. According to Deadline, Fast and Furious 11 is set to pick up right where Fast X leaves off, with it being described by Deadline as a “companion piece.”
Star Michelle Rodriguez had previously hyped a major cliffhanger ending for Fast X, so in some ways, it would probably be more unusual if Leterrier hadn’t returned. These Fast & Furious movies are difficult to make, with escalating budgets, so if Leterrier was able to pick up the pieces following Lin’s exit, expect him to become much in...

Prince Eric will not be forcing himself on Ariel through song in Disney’s upcoming live-action “The Little Mermaid,” directed by Rob Marshall. Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken, who wrote the music for the 1989 animated movie, returned to work on the 2023 live-action remake and updated some of the song lyrics so they wouldn’t be outdated when it comes to consensual relationships.
“There are some lyric changes in ‘Kiss the Girl’ because people have gotten very sensitive about the idea that [Prince Eric] would, in any way, force himself on [Ariel],” Menken recently told Vanity Fair. “We have some revisions in ‘Poor Unfortunate Souls’ regarding lines that might make young girls somehow feel that they shouldn’t speak out of turn, even though Ursula is clearly manipulating Ariel to give up her voice.”
“Kiss the Girl” is one of the major musical moments between Ariel (Halle Bailey) and Prince Eric (Jonah Hauer-King) in “The Little Mermaid.

After ten films in the Fast & Furious series, an eleventh immediately nigh, and a twelfth on the docket, one might see some themes beginning to emerge. Guys, I think these movies might be about family.
"Fast X," due in theaters on May 19, promises to be the largest yet, a pattern that this series has followed since its first chapter in 2001. With the "Fast X" budget rising to $340 million, the tenth installment in the franchise will unite no fewer than 17 characters, and sport a villain (Jason Momoa) seeking revenge for his murdered father, the villain of "Fast Five." Judging by the "Fast X" trailer, all the series' usually enjoyable absurdities appear to be intact, including a trek around the globe and a general hatred of the laws of physics. One can be assured this film will be just as goofy and entertaining as the last few have been.

Michelle Rodriguez and Charlize Theron are such action-movie pros that they don’t even need a director to film a fight sequence.
That’s the revelation made by Rodriguez in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, discussing a fight scene she and Theron shot sans-director for the upcoming “Fast X”.
“Can I just tell you — no pun intended, but Charlize is a monster,” Rodriguez said. “We shot our [‘Fast X’] fight sequence with no director. Bro, like, hands down, drop mic, we nailed it. We were there, we don’t need [a director], let’s do this.”

According to Rodriguez, the scene was filmed after Justin Lin — who’s directed five movies in the “Fast & Furious” franchise, and had signed on for “Fast X” — made a surprise departure days into production due to creative differences.

Charlize Theron and Michelle Rodriguez have proven themselves skilled enough fighters that they didn’t need a director while filming their Fast X fight sequence.
The two return to the popular Fast and Furious franchise in the 10th film, with Theron reprising her role as notorious cyberterrorist Cipher and Rodriguez as Letty Ortiz, the wife of lead street racer Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel).
In the action movie’s trailer, released last month, Cipher and Ortiz engage in an all-out, epic brawl after waking up in a science lab together.
Speaking to Vanity Fair in a new interview about the scene, Rodriguez explained that they “shot our [Fast X] fight sequence with no director”.
“Can I just tell you – no pun intended, but Charlize is a monster,” the Avatar actor praised.

Michelle Rodriguez and Charlize Theron wanted to keep filming “Fast X” fast and furious despite a mid-production director switch.
Rodriguez revealed that she collaborated with fellow franchise staple Theron on their climatic fight sequence during the transition period after longtime “Fast and Furious” helmer Justin Lin departed the film amid a rumored disagreement with lead star Vin Diesel. The battle is heavily teased in the trailer.

The official trailer for “Fast X” unveiled the first footage of Jason Momoa and Brie Larson joining the long-running action series, but it was the brutal fight scene between franchise veterans Michelle Rodriguez and Charlize Theron that packed the most punch. Talk about intense!
On Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 3 Episode 17, Stabler had no choice but to work with a hotheaded father desperate to get his son back. Every mistake Wen made could have derailed the operation and gotten himself and others killed.
It all worked out in the end -- but it was almost too easy.
Stabler's efforts to get Wen to follow directions were ironic. How many times has Bell complained about Stabler going rogue?
He got a taste of his own medicine while dealing with Wen, who consistently did the opposite of what Stabler told him and forced the cops to reveal themselves earlier than they wanted during every step of the operation.

Louis Leterrier nearly turned down the chance to direct 'Fast X'.The 49-year-old filmmaker was drafted in to helm the movie last year following the departure of Justin Lin after shooting had begun but admits that he nearly snubbed the project as he "couldn't fathom" getting behind the camera without any preparation.Louis told Total Film magazine: "I said no. I couldn't fathom doing this. It's just impossible. It's just massive. Doing any movie, any TV show, anything without prep is crazy, let alone doing the biggest movie in the biggest action franchise of all time."However, he soon realised that the chance to direct a 'Fast and Furious' film was too good to pass up.Louis added: "So I accepted. I took a plane and landed. All this in the span of four days. It was crazy."The French director tried not to change too much of Lin's...

Justin Lin may be the foremost director of the "Fast and Furious" franchise, but he's taking a break from the Hollywood big leagues for his next film: an indie movie about the misguided missionary John Allen Chau. Before helming half of the entries in one of the most successful blockbuster series in modern times, Lin directed indie movies that centered on the Asian-American communities of Southern California, including the quirky comedy "Shopping for Fangs" and the Sundance Grand Jury Prize-nominated "Better Luck Tomorrow."
Lin directed "Shopping for Fangs" with Quentin Lee when they were both students in UCLA's film school in 1997. The film marks the acting debut of John Cho, who would go on to work with Lin on his follow-up feature, "Better Luck Tomorrow," as well as years later on "Star Trek Beyond." In the mid-2000s, one of the main selling points in mainstream horror was the so-called Torture Porn scene. Emphasizing extreme violence, brutality, and relentless torture and suffering from its victims at the expense of traditional suspense and chills, the scene had a massive amount of mainstream appeal thanks to films like “Saw,” “Hostel,” “Wolf Creek,” and “The Collector” among others bringing about massive financial gain and audience acceptance which brought about numerous attempts throughout the world. After the Japanese effort “Grotesque” started the Asian countries jumping on the trend, Taiwanese director Kevin Ko tackled the genre with his debut feature “Invitation Only” which is now available on physical media from Unearthed Films.

Veronica Ngô presents “Furies,” a prequel to the 2019 Vietnamese-language film “Furie.” Although a prequel, the film follows an entirely different pattern and moves to Ho Chi Minh City in the 90s. Violent and savage, the film is just over two hours long and packed with fight sequences that will leave your jaw on the floor and sometimes have you leave your brain behind too. It also releases at a great time to accompany “John Wick 4” for a weekend full of fury and bloodshed.
Spoilers Ahead
Plot Synopsis: What Happens In ‘Furies’?
The film opens with a dark scene of violence, with dozens of men dead on the floor and a young woman being shot. This is the story of that young woman, Bi. As a child, Bi was brought up by a single mother who engaged in prostitution to make money to support them. Unfortunately, when Bi was a teenager,...

After a month-long hiatus, Law & Order: Organized Crime needed a case that was worth the wait. They delivered.
Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 3 Episode 16 introduced a new gang and some different conflicts for the unit as they tried to investigate.
It ended with a twist -- the villain isn't who it seemed it would be, and now Stabler's again on a mission to get justice.
Jet's promotion was a blink-and-you-miss-it moment. She didn't get more than a second to celebrate before a gunshot rang out!
I'm not sure what her new duties are, but she deserves them after being kidnapped and nearly killed, only for the suspect she was starting to fall for to be murdered in jail.

A victim of Covid 19, this Chinese New Year film missed its scheduled February date but it finally hit the cinemas in early September 2022. Premiered at the Udine Far East Film Festival in April garnering the Best Screenplay Award, it made its way to the 21st New York Asian Film Festival in July. However it did exceptionally well after its local release and took in over 77 millions and eventually became the 3rd highest-grossing domestic film in Hong Kong.
