New York magazine’s Daily Intelligencer blog highlights an interesting passage from an article by V.F.’s Duff McDonald in N.Y.U. School of Law’s alumni magazine about Treasury Department fan-favorite Neil Barofsky. Barofsky, N.Y.U. Law ’95, “is probably one of the few people working in the Treasury Department today who saw Pink Floyd play ‘The Great Gig in the Sky’ at Yankee Stadium in June 1994,” writes McDonald. That may be true for the Treasury Department, but since President Bush nominated Barofsky to the Treasury in 2008, the White House’s collective cred has been positively bullish.
