Makeda Diggs
- Actor
- Director
- Writer
Makeda was born and raised in Western Massachusetts. She started performing at age 6 on a teeny-tiny, very squeaky 1/8-size violin. Everyone was over the moon because it sounded so so good.
Makeda discovered her love of acting at 8, spending the years since playing countless roles over hundreds of performances. Her professional training includes the Stella Adler Studio, the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and Boston's Improv Asylum.
She eventually attended Skidmore College along with her full-size violin after winning the Filene Music Scholarship, where she served as the Concertmaster of the Symphony Orchestra for four years. Music regularly informs her worldview and decision-making as an actor and filmmaker, as she considers music to be fully intertwined with human expression and truth-telling.
