Princess Diana‘s confidante, Sally Morgan, recently revealed how she believes the late Princess of Wales would have handled King Charles’ cancer diagnosis. She feels Diana would have “rooted” for her ex-husband’s recovery.
Princess Diana would have ‘rooted’ for King Charles’ recovery
Sally Morgan first met Princess Diana when William and Harry were ages 9 and 7. At the time of their introduction, Diana was separated from Charles.
Morgan explained how Diana would have handled Charles’ cancer diagnosis in an interview with Gb News. “I was her confidante for four and half years. Every day on the phone. You certainly get to know someone.”
She continued, “She would be rooting for his recovery. Even though they were divorced, she loved him very much and the boys. So, of course she would be there, rooting for the king.”

Prince William’s days as a prince are numbered. When King Charles took the throne, we knew we would eventually see Prince William ascending and taking his father’s place.
But, everyone thought King Charles had a couple of decades to go, that was before his unexpected cancer diagnosis.
Now, the clock is ticking and Prince William will probably be crowned the King of England sooner rather than later.
New York Times recently published an essay regarding the Royal Family’s state of current affairs. “The almost simultaneous news of Charles’s cancer has put William and Catherine in frightening proximity to ascending the throne just when they had hoped for a span of years to parent their children out of the public eye,” journalist Tina Brown wrote in the essay

Brown added, “A tidal wave of premature responsibility is crashing in her and William’s direction.

It’s been a rough few months for Britain’s royal family. It was announced in January that both King Charles and the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) would take a break from royal duties as they had to undergo medical procedures. Then, to everyone’s surprise, the monarch and his daughter-in-law later shared that they had cancer and needed more time away to recover and receive treatment.
These unforeseen circumstances have left the family stretched pretty thin in its new era of a slimmed-down monarchy with fewer royals to help out with engagements. Now with two senior royals out of commission, a royal expert says that the family is really “hanging on by a thread” and there’s only one person who can save the monarchy.

There’s another concern behind palace walls for Kate Middleton and Prince William besides her cancer diagnosis. According to a royal expert, King Charles III’s own cancer diagnosis has the Prince and Princess of Wales worrying about entering the next phase of their lives — being king and queen — much sooner.
The king’s cancer diagnosis has William and Kate worried about being ‘much closer’ to the throne
According to Tina Brown, a royal expert and author, although Kate’s video statement in which she announced her cancer diagnosis on March 22, 2024, was “absolutely heartbreaking,” she and William have another thought to consider: the throne (via CBS).
“They’ve had to deal with an enormous amount,” Brown said on CBS Mornings. “Because what people haven’t really thought about is the news Charles, the king, has cancer, which came right as her own operation happened, that brings them much closer to the throne.

Kate Middleton is “battling much more than cancer,” claims a royal commentator. They argue that the Princess of Wales has not only treatment and recovery to deal with, but also, a “radically altered future.”
Kate Middleton’s fight is reportedly bigger than cancer

Elser cited a New York Times opinion piece written by Tina Brown. She is the author of The Diana Chronicles and The Palace Papers.
Brown believes that Kate Middleton is “battling much more than cancer. She may have to deal with the ramifications of King Charles’ health woes, too.
“Catherine is battling more — much more — than cancer,” she writes.
“A tidal wave of premature responsibility is crashing in her and William’s direction.

Amid her ongoing recovery following a cancer diagnosis, Kate Middleton is learning a lesson Princess Diana did decades earlier. According to a royal commentator, the Princess of Wales, 42, is realizing, like her late mother-in-law before her, being able to ‘completely disappear’ is impossible, at least for an extended period of time.
Kate’s kept her medical information private out of a desire to maintain ‘normality’ at home
When Kensington Palace first announced on Jan. 17, 2024, that Kate had undergone abdominal surgery one day earlier, they did so with few details.
The palace shared Kate was recovering at The London Clinic where she’d go on to spend nearly two weeks before returning home. Furthermore, she’d be taking time off from royal duties to continue recuperating before eventually returning to work, likely sometime after Easter.
Most notably, however, the reason fo the surgery wasn’t revealed, only that it had been “planned.

Ever since it was announced in mid-January that the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) had abdominal surgery which required a lengthy recovery at home and a break from all royal engagements, there’s been speculation about her whereabouts.
For whatever reason, it seems inconceivable to some that the princess is really just taking time off to recover in the privacy of her Adelaide Cottage home in Windsor. Therefore, wild conspiracies have emerged which have led to the Waleses trying to calm things down. But their actions have made things worse and now a royal commentator believes they have to “play chess” with the media and the public.

An apparently happy and healthy-looking Kate Middleton was seen walking alongside her husband, Prince William, near Windsor Castle in video footage reportedly shot over the weekend. The video is helping to dispel one of this year’s most enduring conspiracy theories regarding her health and whereabouts while recovering from abdominal surgery — though skepticism still abounds, as the Palace has yet to verify or comment on the video. And now speculation around the royal has moved to a second image she shared in 2022 that on Tuesday was deemed to have been altered.
The video was shot on Saturday about a mile outside of Windsor, England, and has been verified by TMZ, which posted the clip online on Monday. The Middleton sighting had initially been reported over the weekend, without the footage, and the new clip seemingly verifies those reports; TMZ stated that it verified that footage metadata. Prince William and Kate Middleton might spend all of their holidays together these days, but that wasn’t always the case. The royal couple first met when they were in college at the University of St. Andrews more than 20 years ago. Today, Kate is just as much a staple at the royal Christmas celebrations as her husband. However, before William proposed, Kate reportedly put her foot down and refused to attend the family’s Christmas until she had a ‘ring on her finger” but the moment happened four years before William actually got down on one knee.

Over the years many have questioned what Prince William‘s relationship with his stepmother, Queen Camilla (formerly Camilla Parker Bowles), is really like. After all, William was old enough to understand what was going on when his parents separated. He also knew that Camilla was a big part of that as Princess Diana used to refer to her as “Charles’ lady” in front of her sons.
Their relationship was back in the headlines in early 2023 when Prince Harry released his memoir Spare. It’s the arc that “The Crown” fans have waited for and dreaded: Princess Diana dies in Episode 3 of the Netflix series’ sixth and final season (returning as a spirit for the fourth and final episode of Part 1). While the fourth episode focuses on the aftermath of her death, the first three zero in on their relationship in the weeks leading up to their car crash in the Paris tunnel.
As usual with Peter Morgan’s fact-based drama, some truly wild stuff happens — and some of it is even true! But “The Crown” has always been slightly more interested in emotional truth than in a strict historical record, which means the line between fact and fiction tends to blur. And while many viewers have vivid memories of Diana’s death and the events in its wake, decades of documentaries, biopics, books, and conspiracy theories have made what led up to it hazy.

As the sovereign’s wife, Queen Camilla gets prime seating at dinners or public appearances. However, that wasn’t always the case. Before she and King Charles were married, Queen Camilla found herself “relegated to the social margins” of a society wedding.
Which, as author Tina Brown claimed in her 2022 book, The Palace Papers, didn’t go over well (via Express). Brown explained many royals had been invited to the November 2004 nuptials of Edward Van Cutsem and the Duke of Westminster’s daughter.

Princess Diana‘s tragic death was a titular moment in royal family history. However, the clan, known for keeping a stiff upper lip in the most devastating circumstances, handled things uniquely. How did the royal family react to Princess Diana’s death?
Here’s how Prince Harry and Prince William reacted to the news of Princess Diana’s death
In an interview with Newsweek, Prince Harry explained how difficult it was to try and understand the enormity of his mother’s death. He regretted partaking in one particular aspect of her funeral procession.
“My mother had just died, and I had to walk a long way behind her coffin, surrounded by thousands of people watching me while millions more did on television,” Harry explained. “I don’t think any child should be asked to do that. I don’t think it would happen today.”

Royals to the rescue? Not so much for Prince Harry in his legal battle for U.K. police security. According to a royal expert, King Charles III, as well as other British royals, could help the Duke of Sussex. But, instead, they’re “not going to step up.”

A common theme in U.S. network coverage of King Charles’ coronation was, why are Americans so fasciated by this?
Starting around 5 a.m. Et, the better question might as well have been, why are they up watching this?
As the king started their procession down the streets of London, commentator after commentator weighed in. On MSNBC, historian Jon Meacham quoted Shakespeare’s Henry V and said of the pageantry unfolding, “It is this marvelous cocktail, if you will, of the human, the divine, the democratic, the monarchial, the English and to some extent American.”
Others mentioned the colonial history of the U.S. and the special relationship between the two countries.
Perhaps the most succinct explanation came from Fox News’ Benjamin Hall, recently returned after recovering from severe injuries while covering the war in Ukraine, who said, “You’ve got pomp and circumstance, you’ve got a bit of...

Here’s what’s planned from the U.S. TV news networks.
