Giancarlo Esposito has been cast in the MCU in a role that fans are not aware of. According to the actor, the role is such that it could spawn a series of its own. Previously, Esposito had expressed his interest in playing the role of Charles Xavier, but without the wheelchair. The actor had also been speculated to be in the running to play some of Marvel’s bigger characters like Doctor Doom or Galactus.

In 2024, it will be 40 years since the character of Frasier Crane first debuted on TV. Appearing in the season 3 premiere of "Cheers" back in 1984, the character went on to become the protagonist of his own show, which ran from 1993 to 2004 and doubled down on Kelsey Grammer's remarkable knack for playing the lovably pretentious psychiatrist. Now, the character is once again back as part of the "Frasier" revival series that just hit Paramount+, and he's very much returned to his roots.
Whereas the original "Frasier" saw the titular psychiatrist return to his native Seattle, the new series is set back in Boston — home of the Cheers bar where his character first appeared. In the years between the original "Frasier" and this new series, the good doctor has been living in Chicago, but returns to Boston after his marriage ends and he feels compelled to become more involved in his son Freddy's (Jack Cutmore-Scott) life.

Rain had earlier brought the proceedings to a halt at 5:45 pm local time, with the entire ground almost covered. By 6:24 pm, all covers were removed, with some Indian players doing their catching practice.
At 6:30 pm, on-field umpires Paul Wilson and Ruchira Palliyaguruge along with the fourth umpire were doing the inspection, following which the ground was deemed fit to resume play from 6:45 pm.
Before rain intervention, Ravindra Jadeja took a three-wicket haul as India kept Nepal to 178-6 in 37.5 overs in what is also the first-ever men’s Odi between the two teams.
On a pitch that aided spinners more, Nepal put up a much-improved batting display after being skittled out for 104 against Pakistan last week.

"Yes, the dog can text." Lionsgate has revealed a trailer for a movie called R.A.D.A.R.: The Bionic Dog, which, yes, is as bad as it sounds. This is something that would direct to the bargain bin at Walmart back in the 90s, but now it's getting a direct-to-vod release which is almost the same. A boy and his dog with bionic powers save a small town from two bumbling crooks. The mad scientist who invented the treasure-hunting dog wants to steal him back — along with the town’s famous sapphire! Can Gabe and Kylie protect the dog, guard the jewel, and save the town? Because the script is cheesy trash, you already know the answer is - yes, of course they can! The fun-for-all-ages comedy stars Dean Cain, Ezra Lerario, and Paul Wilson. I am honestly more worried about the Belgian Malinois doggie in this,...

A new NBCUniversal advertising executive is taking on the task of tackling advertisers to link themselves to such sports properties as “Sunday Night Football” and the soon-to-launch Usfl.
Peter Lazarus will take the lead on selling ads behind the bulk of NBCUniversal’s sports programming, part of a gradual overhaul of the company’s work behind connecting Madison Avenue with some of TV’s biggest and most-watched properties.
Lazarus has been named executive vice president of sports ad-sales, taking up responsibilities previously held by Dan Lovinger, a longtime NBCU ad-sales exec who has been assigned to focus more intently on the company’s efforts behind Olympics advertising. Lovinger was elevated to president in January and will lead Olympics ad-sales efforts as NBCU works harder to fulfill a commitment it has made along the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, pledging to offer long-term deals to partners for TV, digital, and live event advertising,...

Paul Wilson never ran a 10,000 meter race at the Olympics, but he sure must feel like it.
Wilson has supervised much of the work that NBCUniversal’s ad-sales team has had to do over the past two decade to make the company’s investment in the Olympics pay off. He is stepping down from his role as senior vice president of Olympics ad sales at NBCU, ending a streak of selling commercial inventory for the past ten editions of the Games, eight as the leader — making him directly responsible for $10 billion in ad revenue. During the pandemic, NBCU really had to work for its ad support, breaking down buys that sponsors had committed for the 2020 Games, then rebuilding them for 2021 after coronavirus forced a year’s delay of the Summer Games. There was even more work to do — the delay meant the Summer Olympics took place just six months before the 2022 Winter Games.

Melbourne, Dec 26 (Ians) The third umpire's decision to not give Australia captain Tim Paine run out on the first day of the second Test against India left many people, including legendary leg-spinner Shane Warne, scratching their heads and it seems even the Indian players were voicing their disagreement.
Many fans caught an unidentified player from the fielding side saying that there is "something fishy" about Paine not being declared run out at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Fans took to social media to point it out.
"Someone just said "Something fishy man" from behind the stumps as the over finished," tweeted one user.
"Haha love the stump mics. One of the Indian player saying "Something fishy. How did he not given that as out" I guess it is Pant," tweeted another.
The incident happened in the 55th over of the Australian innings when there was a mix-up between Cameron Green and Paine.

Melbourne, Dec 26 (Ians) Legendary spinner Shane Warne was on Saturday left surprised after Australia skipper Tim Paine survived a run out review on the opening day of the second Test against India being played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (McG).
The incident happened in the 55th over of the Australian innings when there was a mix-up between Cameron Green and Paine. However, with no clear evidence of bat being on the line, the third umpire declared the Australia skipper not out.
"There's no conclusive evidence to show the bat is on the wrong side of the line, so the bat looks like it could have a bit over the line. My decision is not out," said Paul Wilson.
"Very surprised that Tim Paine survived that run out review! I had him on his bike and thought there was no part of his bat behind the line! Should have been out in my opinion,...
