Yaya Muñoz is an actor known for her roles in SFSU short film Finding Francine (2022) and An Oscar Winning Movie (2022).
Muñoz got her start in acting at the age of eight when her mom encouraged her to audition for a holiday review in her hometown in hopes to help her get out of her shell. Soon after that, she started performing at regional theaters in California as a child actor. Down the road she went to college for musical theatre, but ultimately decided to use her theater training for the film and television industry.
She is of proud Mexican descent and wants to represent her community, specifically the Latine who have lost touch to their native language.
