"I Hate My Teenage Daughter" is as good as dead. Fox has canceled its plans to shift the critically-panned and low-rated freshman comedy about two moms and their teenage offspring, according to EW.
Instead of moving from Tuesday to Wednesdays in April, the comedy-- which only had 3.6 million viewers tune into its most recent episode-- has been shelved until the summer. Two-hour episodes of "American Idol" will make up Wednesdays instead of the previously announced 90-minute installments. A Fox representative confirmed the scheduling change.
The last episode of "I Hate My Teenage Daughter" is currently scheduled for Tues., April 3 at 8:30 p.m. Et, but Fox says they plan to air the remaining episodes in the summer.
The Huffington Post's Maureen Ryan reviewed "I Hate My Teenage Daughter" in November and said the show is "an example of writers standing outside their characters in order to heap more scorn and...

The biggest shame of the new Fox comedy "I Hate My Teenage Daughter" is the amount of talent the show wastes.
The series follows two divorced women and their struggles as they raise their troublesome teenage daughters (thus, the title). Katie Finneran, a Tony Award winner, plays Nikki Miller, a former high school loser who is borderline obsessed about her daughter Mackenzie (Aisha Dee) achieving popularity. Emmy winner Jaime Pressly plays Nikki's best friend Annie Watson, a woman from a super conservative upbringing who can barely control her daughter Sophie (Kristi Lauren).
In the pilot, Sophie and Mackenzie are gearing up for their first high school dance, and their moms couldn't be more excited. But things go afoul when, just days before the dance, the daughters decide to lock up a male, handicapped classmate in the women's bathroom.
As expected, the mothers are called to principal's office and are horrified at the news.

A few stars of film and television fame will be calling Hallmark Channel their home when the movie "Love Finds a Home" premiers on Saturday, April 11th (9/8c). The story follows the life of Dr. Belinda Owens (Sarah Jones), a young medical doctor confronted by the challenges of laboring in a male-dominated profession while living as a wife and mother in the old American West.
The original series also stars Haylie Duff (Napoleon Dynamite, 7th Heaven) as Dr. Annie Watson, a very pregnant medical doctor who pays a visit to her dear friend and colleague Belinda. Academy Award-winning actress Patty Duke appears as Mary, Annie's meddlesome mother-in-law whose homeopathic treatments contradict Belinda's traditional medical training.
"Love Finds a Home" is the eighth and final chapter of the "Love Comes Softly" film series inspired by the faith-based novels written by Janette Oke.
