“Summer’s end is around the bend just flyin’” according to the great John E. Prine and Patrick James McLaughlin, whose song “Summer’s End” appeared in Season 2 of “The Summer I Turned Pretty” covered by Phoebe Bridgers and Maria Taylor. This applies to reality as the seasons and months change, but also to Jenny Han’s “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” which just wrapped its second season on Prime Video. Don’t blink though, because even though Season 3 is delayed due to the ongoing strikes, it will likely be the last one.

For those left inconsolable after that “The Summer I Turned Pretty” Season 2 finale, you’ve come to the right place — especially if you have questions. Rest assured that, whether you are Team Conrad or Team Jeremiah, we know you’re devastated.
Questions to consider for the Prime Video adaptation of Jenny Han’s book series not only involve the infamous love triangle between Isabel “Belly” Conklin (Lola Tung) and the Fisher brothers — Conrad (Chris Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), but also the soundtrack to Season 3, which has big shoes to fill even without Taylor Swift’s magical music. Other budding relationships like that of Steven (Sean Kaufman) and Taylor (Rain Spencer) as well as whether or not Cam Cameron (David Iacono) will come back in Season 3 are on our mind as well.

Laurel Park (Jackie Chung) doesn’t fully break down over Susannah’s death until Episode 7 of “The Summer I Turned Pretty.”
While Belly (Lola Tung), Steven (Sean Kaufman), Taylor (Rain Spencer), Conrad Fisher (Chris Briney), Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno), Skye (Elsie Fisher) and Cam Cameron (David Iacono) threw a party to rebel against the sale of the Cousins Beach house by Aunt Julia (Kyra Sedgwick), Laurel remained unaware of Julia’s plans and the kids’ efforts to thwart them. It was a drunken call from Belly that tipped Laurel off as to what her children were really up to while she was away promoting her new memoir, “It’s Not Summer Without You.” The book was about meeting Susannah and living life as best friends from college.

[This interview was conducted prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike authorization.] [Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2, Episodes 1-6.] The Summer I Turned Pretty may focus on the love triangle between Belly (Lola Tung), Conrad (Christopher Briney), and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), but the latest episode, “Love Fest,” saw a few wins for fan-favorite Cam Cameron, who connects with Fisher cousin, Skye (Elsie Fisher). While his character may not have been part of Jenny Han’s book series beyond the first installment, his character was brought back and fleshed out in a way that allows Iacono to shine in a different way than he did in Season 1. Cam Cameron returned in Episode 4 when Belly and the gang hit up the boardwalk in Cousins Beach; he had a summer job at the arcade. He’s since tagged along on the ongoing effort to help Jeremiah and Conrad ...

A new relationship has entered the mix on “The Summer I Turned Pretty.”
In the sixth episode of Season 2, Skye (Elsie Fisher) and Cam Cameron (David Iacono) acted on their feelings for each other, sealing them with a sweet kiss. Iacono acknowledged the contrast between this budding relationship and the intense love triangle Belly (Lola Tung) finds herself in with the Fisher brothers.
“I think [Skye and Cam’s relationship] is refreshing at points, [given] everything that’s going on with Conrad and Jeremiah and Belly … and even Steven and Taylor,” Iacono told TheWrap in an interview conducted before the SAG-AFTRA strike began. “I think it’ll be nice for people to have a bit of a breather when it comes to Cam and Skye. Their relationship is very new.”

The mind of Jeremiah Fisher is a lovely place.
Keeping with the theme of trying new things, The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 Episode 5 tried something different by putting us in the headspace of Jeremiah instead of Belly.
As the weaker aspect of this love triangle, one of whom we knew the least about, it was genuinely refreshing that we got Jeremiah's perspective and a chance to lean into the male gaze.
And what we learned was essentially some of what we knew but expanded.
He's the boy who always looked up to his brother, but now the hero worship of Conrad has dissipated naturally as they've grown older.
He's the boy who fell for Belly at the beginning of last summer and has been struggling with his position as "second best" to Conrad ever since. And he's only ever felt understood by Susannah and Belly.
We needed an hour like this for Jeremiah,...

When the first poster for "The Summer I Turned Pretty" season two dropped this spring, it teased a major surprise: the return of David Iacono as Cam Cameron. It's a major departure from Jenny Han's series of books on which the show is based; in the book series, Cam appears briefly in the first installment and never returns.
Iacono, 21, actually knew he was going to be in season two before season one even came out last summer. "I was so excited," he tells Popsugar. "I honestly wasn't expecting to get that call because Cam is not in the second or third book. So I was very, very pleasantly surprised."
"I low-key almost spoiled it," he confesses of his return. "I did an interview and I had said that I was coming back, or hinted at it, and I think people picked up on it on TikTok." As for Cam's journey in the new episodes,...

Grief is funny in that sometimes you can forget it for a bit, let loose, have fun, and bask in this one perfect day.
And then, like the other shoe dropping, or the rug being literally ripped from beneath your feet, it all comes crashing down again.
And thanks to the tense-filled moments at the beginning and devastating end of The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 Episode 4, that's precisely what this hour captured so well.
Perfect days and moments don't last too long because, eventually, life and reality catch up to you.
While we got a bit more insight into Julia and her background with Susannah via offhand comments from Skye, with the underhanded move by the end of the hour, it's hard to view her as anything beyond villainous.
Fortunately, Elsie Fisher's cousin Skye makes up some of that by being an endearing addition to this group of teens.

We’ve all had a sensible chuckle at the Barbenheimer meme. The idea that something as po-faced as a Christopher Nolan movie about the perils of creating the atomic bomb is being released at the same time as a pink glitter explosion of a flick about Mattel’s immortal fashion doll and her adventures in the real world makes for a naturally hilarious showdown slash double bill.
But as the Barbenheimer t-shirts, posts, video edits, and think pieces continue to pour in, horror fans may well be watching from the shadows, eyes glowing red, knowing that their time is almost nigh. When July is over, Barbie vs. Oppenheimer will be but a pleasant summer memory, but Saw X vs. Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie? Well, that’s when shit could get real.

Nothing stays the same forever. Not even summer.
It’s a fact most people have to come to terms with on their own time, but in The Summer I Turned Pretty’s second season, rapid-fire change drags its characters along kicking and screaming, whether they’re ready or not.
Fans of the show or its source material — author Jenny Han’s bestselling romance trilogy — will welcome the return of main character Belly Conklin (Lola Tung) and the windswept, salt-drenched location of Cousins Beach. The fictional waterfront, and its iconic beach house,...

In the gripping Australian murder mystery series Deadloch, a string of murders created an eerie atmosphere throughout the town of Deadloch. Lead inspector Dulcie Collins and her newly assigned investigative partner, Eddie Redcliffe, went on a mission to unravel the mystery surrounding the elusive killer who exclusively targeted abusive and toxic men in the community.
Initially, Dulcie and Eddie believed that the murderer was likely a woman, based on the nature of the killings. However, they quickly realized that they could not solely view the crimes through a gender lens, as the killer’s intention was to mislead them. Their assumptions were changed when Dulcie deduced that the killer was, in fact, a man.
Unfortunately, by the time Dulcie reached this conclusion, the murder spree had intensified, complicating their investigation further. To make matters worse, the commissioner, Hastings, suspended Dulcie from the case, leaving her with no official authority to...

Cameron Crowe is the Oscar-winning writer-director who firmly established himself as one of the most distinctive cinematic voices working today, creating comedic dramas about the inherent goodness of people. But how many of his titles remain classics? Let’s take a look back Crowe’s 10 greatest films, ranked worst to best.
Born in 1957 in Palm Springs, California, Crowe got his start as a teenage music journalist for “Rolling Stone,” touring with the Allman Brothers when he was just 16 years old. His love for rock bands landed him lucrative interviews with such hot groups as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin and the Eagles.
His background in journalism led him to go undercover as a high school student to write a book about the experience of Southern California teenagers that would later become the film “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” (1982), which he also wrote the screenplay for. He made his directorial debut seven...

In the previous episode of Deadloch, Dulcie and Eddie were finally able to piece together the puzzle and uncover that Skye O’Dwyer was their prime suspect as the killer. However, just when they thought they had solved the mystery, a new twist emerged in the seventh episode during the winter festival in the lake water. But the shocking revelation in the seventh episode adds even more complexity to the already twisted plotline of the show.

Touching down in Heraklion, on the Greek island of Crete, marks the beginning of summer holidays for Tara (Mia McKenna-Bruce), Skye (Lara Peake), and Em (Enva Lewis), a trio of best friends who have just taken their A-levels and for whom school is the last thing on their mind. The first thing is… well, the title gives it away. British teens on holiday at a Greek resort means booze, booze, and more booze, but Molly Manning Walker’s debut film has the power to take these prosaic cultural archetypes and use them as tools to tell a poignant story about the ambivalences of growing up, female friendships, and consent.
Amidst a lot of vodka, “never have I ever,” and pool parties, the girls form their own gravitational center and stick to it. Yet their friendship is not without complications: underneath the surface of jokes and banter lies a layer of teen-girl angst,...

“Why’s the world so tough? It’s like walking through meat in high heels.” This line comes from Alan Clarke’s 1987 TV movie Road, an adaptation of Jim Cartwright’s stage play, and it goes some way towards explaining the visceral and sensory experience that is Molly Manning Walker’s quite exceptional debut How to Have Sex.
In British cinema, working-class stories lost a major advocate when Clarke died soon after, in 1990, but Walker recovers some of that lost ground with her Cannes Film Festival Un Certain Regard entry, a subtle but powerful deconstruction of teenage dreams and desires that explores class and culture in a similarly human way.
Walker’s sterling work as a Dp — notably in the upcoming Sundance London opener Scrapper — proved she certainly has an eye, but her feature debut proves she also has a very distinct and confident voice. For a vague comparison, you...

Tara and her friends decamp to a garish holiday resort on the lookout for her first sexual experience in Molly Manning Walker’s strong debut feature
Full-on energy, likable performances and uncompromisingly daft jokes turbocharge this debut feature from British film-maker Molly Manning Walker, about three teenage girls up for the holiday of a lifetime in the party town of Malia in Crete, and trying not to think about the exam results which their parents could tactlessly text them at any moment.
The film delivers an intriguingly sympathetic, complex and even mysterious performance from Mia McKenna-Bruce as the shyest of the trio: Tara, whose face in closeup registers subtly shifting moods. For her, the quest for sex means more than for the others. She has still not had experience. Manning Walker herself coolly manages the film’s own mood, drifting towards crisis and retreating from it.

Finally, after a season of hemming and hawing, relationship-wise, things were looking a little clearer.
Almost everyone stepped up in the season finale, All American Season 5 Episode 20, changing how things will look in the upcoming abbreviated All American Season 6.
None of these changes were particularly unexpected, but they set up situations nicely for next season.
Let's start for the worst of the will-they-or-won't-they storylines: Spencer and Olivia.
You know Spencer and Liv belong together when Dillon and his sassy girlfriend made fun of Spencer's assertions that he and Olivia were excellent friends. Grace tried to be supportive, suppressing an appropriate eye roll.
Liv was flying out that night for London, and Spencer was determined to keep things casual, even though his heart told him something different.
Likewise, Olivia was willing to play things however Spencer wanted, even though she longed to get back together.
Spencer did plan a special final day for Liv,...
Almost everyone stepped up in the season finale, All American Season 5 Episode 20, changing how things will look in the upcoming abbreviated All American Season 6.

Billy Baker’s loved ones had just begun to pick up the pieces from his devastating death… and now, tragedy has struck All American once more.
The CW drama has a habit of ending its seasons with a life-or-death cliffhanger (see: Coop getting shot in Season 3), and Patience was the victim in question during Monday’s Season 5 ender. After having zero contact with stalker fan Miko for most of the hour, Patience opened the front door of the Baker house in the episode’s final minutes, only to be stabbed (!!) by an approaching Miko seconds later.

Warning: contains major spoilers for the Guilt series three finale.
Guilt finales are dense with action and surprise. Creator Neil Forsyth masterfully draws together threads from multiple plots, while secrets and betrayals come tumbling out to trip up the characters’ plans. Only one thing is certain: even if you are able to predict who’ll come out on top, you won’t be able to predict how they’ll get there.
In its third and final series, Guilt put Max and Jake McCall through the wringer once again, as they dodged gangsters, got embroiled in an international financial scam, and underwent a tricky but ultimately therapeutic reunion with their estranged dad. Eventually though, they and everybody else who deserved it found the escape – and hopefully, the peace – they’d been looking for. With major spoilers for anybody who hasn’t already binged all four episodes on BBC iPlayer, here’s how it all played out.

Scottish thriller Guilt is back for the third and final chapter in the McCall Brothers trilogy. Neil Forsyth’s fiendishly plotted drama all began when Max and Jake – a ruthless lawyer who’d climbed his way out of his working class Leith upbringing to wealth and status, and his vinyl-loving record shop slacker sibling – were flung together when they tried to cover up an accidental hit-and-run. So began a complex and gripping story about money laundering, Edinburgh gangsters, betrayal, class, family and yes, guilt.
Series three finds Max and Jake forced back to Edinburgh where some old enemies await. They’re joined by Pi-turned legal advisor Kenny Burns, his police detective girlfriend Yvonne, criminal kingpin Maggie Lynch, dangerously unpredictable ex-con Teddy and more familiar faces from the first two series. Also appearing are a range of new characters, as follows:
Isaura Barbé-Brown as Yvonne Nixon
Police officer Yvonne joined Guilt...

Spring Break didn't mean heading to Florida for the members of The Vortex.
No, there was plenty for them to do even when school was out on All American Season 5 Episode 17.
Since football is often central to this series, let's begin there.
Despite unannounced NCAA sanctions still hanging over the program because of Bountygate, the Gau team was feeling pretty good about itself after patching some holes thanks to recruitment efforts by Coach Kenny, Spencer, and Jordan.
Naturally, that couldn't be allowed to stand, as an angry white man, the school president, disrupted the voluntary Spring Break practices.
Spencer recognized Dr. Gutenberg, who he had last seen when he was the star player being recruited.
Sadly, Gutenberg wasn't there to cheer on this scrappy bunch. Instead, he and the faceless boosters were worried that Gau had become Last Chance U instead of a top Division I program.
