Semseddin Sami Frasher, one of the important names of Albanian and Turkish Literature, is a translator, writer and journalist who has made great studies on Turkish Language and grammar. He is also the owner of the title of "first Turkish novelist". He was born on 1 June 1850 in the Albanian village of Frasher.
He died in his home in Erenköy on July 1, 1904. He was buried next to his first wife in Erenköy Sahrayicedid Cemetery. In 1968, at the request of his family, his bones were transferred to the family cemetery on the 23rd island of Feriköy Cemetery.
