Juuar, born in Rio de Janeiro, works in the areas of script, playwright and direction for audiovisual and theater. A few years ago she changed her name. Previously, she signed her works with her birth name, Julia Ariani.
Among her main achievements in the audiovisual sector, the following stand out: script and co director of the documentary "Nossa Pátria Está Onde Somos Amados" (Felipe Hirsch, 2022); script, direction and editing of the feature film "Fernando" (2017), awarded Best Film by the Public at the 6th Olhar DE Cinema and premiered in Brazilian cinemas in 2019; screenplay, research and directing assistance for the fiction feature "Breve Miragem DE Sol" (Eryk Rocha, 2019), awarded the Silvestre Award for Best Feature Film at Indie Lisboa 2020 and also at the Rio Festival (Best Actor, Best Film and Best Editing); script for the feature "Nem Tanto Ao Céu, Nem Tanto Ao mar", in post-production (Antonia Cattan, 2022); script and direction of the short films "Arpejos" (2014), "Maria e Maria" (2013), and "Lugar Comum" (2009).
