John Lasseter Open to Pixar Collaborating With Marvel; ‘Monsters University’ Teaser Coming Next Week
In a nearly three-year period since Marvel was put under the all-powerful Disney umbrella, it’s been many a fan’s pipe dream to see the comics giant finally step into animation with, of course, Pixar. Yet even if you took these hopes and, through your own means, somehow construed them into a real possibility, you’d have to accept that such a development would need to wait. For some time.
We might not be much closer to that geek-centric collaboration going through, but Pixar head John Lasseter… wouldn’t mind seeing it happen. (I said this would take some bigger circumstances.) When interviewed by Collider, he responded to the oft-fielded question like so:
“Well, I can’t say anything about that because Marvel just got—[they’ve] been a couple years as part of the Disney company, we’ve been six years as part of the Disney company. And at Pixar,...

Raise your hand if you think it was more sneaky-strategic than any secret intelligence spy movie move ever was to release the trailer to Brave (2012) at the exact same moment when the world was painfully realizing that Pixar is fallible while watching Cars 2. (Yes, yes, the people of Planet Earth ought to have caught on to this during the snoozefest that was Cars but feeling very very sleepy has a less damning quality than feeling very annoyed; people do like a two hour nap now and then.) Redirect the conversation to a happier place!
So herewith the teaser to Brave which opens next June ...alas, not this one. This one is the one where we get Cars 2, damnit. We can't really break it down like Yes, No, Maybe So since it's only a teaser. We wait until the full trailer for that. But here's the gorgeously verdant tease.

Since the year 2004 when it was released The Incredibles has been my favorite Pixar film. Now that it is finally hitting blu-ray on April 12th in a high definition 1080p/Avc-encoded presentation and a DTS-hd Master Audio 5.1 Es surround track, the film is even more, well… incredible!
Review:
I just love everything about this film, and like Pixar itself, their blu-ray releases are bar-none the best & chock full of awesomeness. One of the things that stands out to me in this film is the family dynamic, even though they have superpowers they still deal with the same problems all families deal with. The film uses the superhero genre to explore not only the tensions of family life but the male mid-life crisis as well. Each character has their own very well done story arc with powers attributed to how they are personality wise. Intermixed into all this great storytelling are...

“Animation is the one type of movie that really does play for the entire audience.”
- John Lasseter
Twenty five years ago the animation studio known as Pixar came into existence, and since then they have marveled us with their magnificent films. Pixar is my favorite film studio and has been most of my conscious life. Their films have made us laugh as well as cry, and the future for the studio looks nothing but bright. My dream is to one day work for this truly amazing studio and to be able to touch the hearts of so many, just as they have for 25 years. Pixar has put a remarkable impact on pop culture, and I would wager there isn’t a person on Earth who doesn’t know who Buzz Lightyear is or hasn’t seen the Luxo, Jr. hopping lamp in some capacity.
Here’s to another outstanding 25 years of animation Pixar.
