David is Afro-Brazilian / American and fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and English. He first hit the stage in 3rd grade. He is classically trained and holds a BFA in Theatre from Arizona State University, where he carried lead roles in multiple main stage shows and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
He is a multi-hyphenate actor, writer, and filmmaker with over 120 professional credits in studio films and major network TV including Major Recurring Guest Star roles across various shows including Queen Of The South (Netflix), Tyler Perry's Ruthless (BET) Westworld (HBO), Seal Team (Paramount+), Criminal Minds (Paramount+) and many more. His work has earned him membership into the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
David says, "Our job is to translate text into a moving, palpable experience for the audience, to bring the words to life in a way that is honest to its present, past, and future."
As a filmmaker, he has produced 6 feature films and is the founder of Exertion Films. His company has licensed projects to HULU, HBOMax, Paramount+, and more. He recently completed his original 8-episode science fiction series 'RZR. David is the creator, show-runner, co-writer, and lead actor opposite Mena Suvari, Richard Cabral, Emilio Rivera and Danny Trejo. RZR is slated for a 2024 release worldwide.
David is a globally known spoken word poet with live appearances on two seasons of the award-winning TV-one series Verses and Flow. He produces high-concept spoken word films he dubs "Spinema" (spinning cinema through spoken word) He has produced spinema with celebrated actors/poets such as Emmy Nominee Malcolm Jamal Warner, Mustafa Shakir, Joivan Wade, and other notables.
David has a good heart, an almost chameleon-like talent that allows him to adapt to any role... to any circumstance.
