Jeff Koons was born on January 21, 1955 in York, Pennsylvania, USA. He is an actor, known for Milk (2008), Peter Marino: Beauty and Power and The Hammer. He is married to Justine Wheeler. They have three children. He was previously married to Ilona Staller.
His 1991 performance art series "Made in Heaven" featured sexually
explicit photographs and sculptures of himself and ex-wife Ilona Staller.
Their son, Ludwig Maximilian (born 29 October 1992), has been the
object of a bitter international custody battle.
Studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Maryland Institute
College of Art.
After college, he worked as a Wall Street broker for a while.
His best known works include "Puppy", a 43 foot sculpture of a West
Highland White Terrier installed outside the Bilbao Guggenheim Museum,
and "Balloon Dog", balloons twisted into shape to make a toy
dog.
Has three sons with his second wife Justine: Sean Kyah, Kurt and
Blake.
As a young artist I wanted to be engaged in the excitement of making art and sharing ideas. And that hasn't changed - that's what the art world represents to me.
