Avatar: The Last Airbender is on its way to getting a hefty third helping after the show closed out with the second series, The Legend of Korra. The franchise is heading towards a revival, as Paramount is looking to develop a slew of projects set in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender. However, there might be a hiccup in the first entry that the series has had in over a decade.
Aang, Katara, Sokka and Momo in Avatar: The Last Airbender
Avatar: The Last Airbender had a beloved cast that played the young heroes during their formative years and became synonymous with the show and its success. However, in an interview during Momocon, Michaela Jill Murphy, who voiced Toph under the name of Jessie Flower, revealed a piece of information that could leave a bad taste in the audience’s mouth, and perhaps hurt the film’s chances of wowing fans.

Toph is one of the legendary characters of Avatar: The Last Airbender. No, seriously, name another character who is as unapologetic, sassy, and powerful as her. She invented a new type of bending while imprisoned in a metal cell. If that’s not greatness, you need to get your eyes checked.
If anyone knows Toph inside out, then it’s Jessie Flower, the voice actor for Toph in the Avatar animation. In an interview with her, Flower revealed her observations of the character and how easy it is to mess it up.
Jessie Flower’s Advice to Netflix for Toph
Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender live-action performed well in its first season, but a pivotal character has yet to be introduced in the series. Toph Beifong, one of the strongest benders of her generation, has yet to make her debut, and you bet when she does appear, it will...

Avatar: The Last Airbender is a series that has been praised for almost every single aspect; be it the animation, power dynamics, or its storytelling. However, the one thing it has praised on the most is the way it creates its characters. Team Avatar is the perfect example of this, with a perfect balance of all kinds of personalities.
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Where Aang is playful and full of life, Zuko brings a lot of angst. Katara acts as a caring, motherly figure and Sokka acts as the comic relief when things get too tense. Then there is Toph Beifong, who terrifies everyone on the team with her sarcastically confrontational personality.

Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender
Since the original series went on for 3 seasons, a couple more seasons from the Netflix series were expected. Recently, the show was renewed for a second and third season. Now, the important question is which characters will make it to the second season and which won’t. Apparently, actor A. Martinez is not too sure that his Avatar: The Last Airbender character will get a spot in season two.

“We will have no involvement in the project moving forward. We ultimately came to the belief that we would not be able to meaningfully guide the direction of the series.”
This 2020 Instagram post from Avatar: The Last Airbender (Atla) co-creator Bryan Konietzko set off an explosion whose shockwaves are still being felt to this day. After the 2018 announcement that the original creators of the beloved animated series would take the reins of a Netflix live-action series, the Instagram post left massive questions in its wake. Questions still on the minds of fans everywhere, a controversy that won’t go away, as Netflix finally releases their live-action Atla series.
What happened between the original creators of Atla and Netflix? Why aren’t they involved in the live-action series anymore? What does this mean for both that series and any animated Atla projects moving forward? To answer those questions and more we...

The Legend Of Korra delivers a terrific episode this week. Here's Kaci's review of Korra Alone...
This review contains spoilers.
4.2 Korra Alone
In this week's episode of Legend Of Korra, we learn how Korra found herself in that underground bending arena last week and make our way through an entire box of tissues.
First off, let's call a spade a spade: Korra has Ptsd. If she were in our world, that's what it would be called. Although I don't have it myself, two people I am very close to do, and from what I can tell, it's depicted pretty accurately here. It's times like this when I have to remind myself that Korra is, ostensibly, a show for kids. It's not that I don't think they can handle it, it's just that this isn't the kind of thing we've come to expect from typical children's programming. I think it's really...
