Director Andrew Saullo teased fans back in December during The Horror Game Awards with the teaser trailer to the upcoming Resident Evil fan short, The Keeper’s Diary: A Biohazard Story. And now, we’re getting the full Monty with the official trailer for The Keeper’s Diary.
The trailer for The Keeper’s Diary features more shots of The Keeper (played by Charlie Kraslavsky) in various stages of zombification, as well as Jill Valentine discovering The Keeper’s room. We do get a shots of dogs (no sign of Cerberus just yet), as well as a quick shot of a Hunter (?!), The Keeper munching on a snake (!!), and Ward E. Sexton doing his iconic “Resident Evil” voice.
Inspired by the original Resident Evil and its 2002 remake, The Keeper’s Diary: A Biohazard Story is an adaptation of the diary entry of the same name found in the Spencer Mansion.

Two months after wrapping production, director Andrew Saullo has unleashed the teaser trailer for his upcoming Resident Evil fan film, The Keeper’s Diary: A Biohazard Story. Debuting during The Horror Game Awards 2023, the 15-second clip is a short but very sweet one, teasing the eventual release of the full trailer coming “soon”, exclusively on the Residence of Evil YouTube Channel.
The slick teaser for The Keeper’s Diary provides some rapid-fire cuts of Jill Valentine (played by Gracie Madsen), Charlie Kraslavsky as the ill-fated Umbrella researcher responsible for the Arklay Laboratory’s animals (aka “The Keeper”), “Steve from Research” (played by Frank Scalabrino), and of course, a typewriter.
Inspired by the original Resident Evil and its 2002 remake, The Keeper’s Diary: A Biohazard Story is an adaptation of the diary entry of the same name found in the Spencer Mansion. It summarizes a researcher succumbing to a viral outbreak in an underground research facility.

Almost two months after the successful crowdfunding campaign, director Andrew Saullo announced via X that filming has completed on his fan film The Keeper’s Diary: A Biohazard Story. The team reportedly crammed in 20-hour days over the past two weeks in Michigan to build sets, assemble the actors and shoot the film, which will now head to the editing room.
The eventual release of the fan film (for free on the Residence of Evil YouTube Channel) is aiming for Q4 2023 – Q1 2024. There’s still no word yet on if The Keeper’s Diary will see a live screening for fans, though that has been discussed by Saullo and his team.

A week in, and the Indiegogo campaign for the Resident Evil fan film The Keeper’s Diary: A Biohazard Story is already at 44% funding with 20 days left. Director/producer Andrew Saullo and team are still forging ahead with preparations for the shoot, and have shared a behind-the-scenes look at one of the sets for the film.
Courtesy of Will at Resident Evil Central, the set in question is of The Keeper’s Room, specifically modelled after the 2002 remake of Resident Evil. On top of showing The Keeper slowly succumbing to the T-Virus infection, will the film include just how that zombie ended up in the closet? We’ll have to wait and see.
Of course, that all depends on the film getting its funding, which is an “all or nothing” project.

It’s been a long time coming, but the crowdfunding campaign for the Resident Evil fan film The Keeper’s Diary: A Biohazard Story from director/producer Andrew Saullo is now live. The 30-day campaign has already garnered several contributions to its $40,000 Usd goal.

For those Resident Evil fans wondering just what’s going on with director/producer Andrew Saullo‘s fan film The Keeper’s Diary, the team dropped us a line to give a small update on the film.
As you might recall, Saullo, together with the folks at Residence of Evil, dropped a trailer last August for the film, which is now aiming to launch a Kickstarter campaign next month at the earliest for funding the project. In addition, Saullo has relocated production from Germany (where production on the film was taking place) to work with Andy from Biohazard Declassified in order to help launch the crowdfunding campaign, as well as help manage the social media aspects.
Once again, this is all separate from Residence of Evil’s own film about The Keeper’s Diary called The Keeper, which will be directed by Shawn Lebert.
For those unaware, “The Keeper’s...

Those of you waiting on an update on director Brandon Salisbury‘s upcoming George A. Romero’s Resident Evil documentary since it was announced way back in September are in for a treat. Courtesy of the folks over at Residence of Evil, the documentary on the “What if?” of George Romero’s Resident Evil film now has a teaser trailer, and aims to “immerse the audience in a cinematic horror aesthetic.”
Salisbury stated that he wanted to pay homage to Romero’s style and the game itself with the documentary, which is listed as “Coming Soon”. As a result, the documentary takes place in a mansion that echoes the look of Resident Evil‘s Spencer Mansion, and is shot to mimic Romero’s style.
Mixed with clips from Romero’s classic Night of the Living Dead and Capcom’s Survival Horror classic, the teaser also features voice clips from newly-filmed...
