"April Davis was a rising star in her first job out of college. When her parents are killed in an accident, she is forced to return to her hometown and serve as legal guardian to her younger brother Jax, whose irresponsible behavior contributed to the deaths of her parents. As usual, April was making the best of the situation. Thriving in her career and role as executor of the family estate. However, a tragic automobile accident turns her entire life upside down as an innocent family is killed, and April is left in a coma.
When April awakes from a coma, she finds that a man, who’s relationship she considered “casual dating” had been by her bedside the entire time.

"I'm just feeling very vulnerable, and confused right now." K Factor Films has released an official trailer for an indie thriller titled Night Night, marking the feature directorial debut of actress / filmmaker Niki Koss. This film hasn't played at any festivals, but will be opening in November for anyone interested. After waking up from a horrific car accident, April must find a way to work through her trauma and a will to survive a recovery from hell. Koss introduces it: "A one of a kind aesthetic, coupled with a fierce female lead is the formula that I believe makes Night Night so special." The film stars Brenna D'Amico as April, with Deric Augustine, Matty Cardarople, Eric Roberts, and featuring Tony Todd. Night Night is a "refreshing new take on a female driven psychological thriller that the world is more than ready for." This looks like it becomes extra creepy once the story really gets going,...

"All they wanted... was a killer night out." Oh what a tagline. Samuel Goldwyn Films has released an official trailer for an indie horror thriller titled Dreamcatcher, not to be confused with the other horror film also titled Dreamcatcher from 2003. This new horror film centers on two estranged sisters who, along with their friends, become entrenched in a 48 hour whirlwind of violence & chaos after a traumatic experience at an underground dance music festival. Sounds intense. The film's cast includes Niki Koss, Zachary Gordon, Travis Burns, Blaine Kern III, Olivia Sui, Emrhys Cooper, Elizabeth Posey, Nazanin Mandi, Adrienne Wilkinson, and Lou Ferrigno Jr. This looks absolutely ridiculous, a strange rip-off of Scream using the Phantom of the Paradise mask set at a rave. Even worse this film just doesn't fit in with the times. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Jacob Johnston's Dreamcatcher, direct from YouTube: Dylan, known...

The film's early artwork and a still are available now. Johnston's debut also mentions the title is based on a DJ. Dylan (Burns) is set to hit the world stage, when a disaster hits during his set. Famous In Love executive producer I. Marlene King reached out via Twitter to share her reaction to today’s cancellation of the Freeform drama series starring Bella Thorne.
“I am deeply grateful for the #FamousInLove cast, crew and our passionate fans. I could not be more saddened by today’s news,” King wrote. “I love these characters and the wild ride they were taking us on. Thank you @warnerbrosTV for fighting the good fight with me. We gave it our all. Keep #Raige in your hearts and they will live on.”
There had been online reports earlier this week that the series had been cancelled, but the official decision came down Friday, despite fans’ efforts to keep it afloat. In its statement announcing the cancellation, Freeform noted that the decision was not an easy one. The series ended Season 2 with season highs in key demos, but ratings year-over-year had declined.

Updated: The last-ditch fan effort to save Famous In Love led by executive producer I. Marlene King has come up short. Freeform has opted not to order a third season of the drama series starring Bella Thorne. The May 30 Season 2 finale served as the series finale.
“We are proud to have had the opportunity to air Famous In Love,” the network said in a statement. After many discussions we have made the difficult decision not to renew the show for a third season. We want to thank our colleagues at Warner Horizon and our incredible producers, writers, cast and crew, especially Marlene King, for their creativity, hard work and dedication.”
The renewal decision was not an easy one. The series ended Season 2 on a high note, showing organic growth and posting new season highs in key demographics in three of the last five weeks. However, year-vs-year, Famous In Love’s ratings were down.

Bella Thorne finds herself in an interesting position. The former Shake It Up 19-year-old starlet is ready to abandon her Disney Channel roots to move into more mature, less kid-friendly entertainment, yet she’s not willing to pull a Miley Cyrus and jump completely into the deep end. Rather, she’s progressing gradually onto the other side, working her way into everything from the newest Madea movie to the long-delayed Amityville: The Awakening to even the latest Xavier Dolan joint. Her career options are varied and versatile, one must admit, but she’s also keeping herself close to home.
