Even though the Bridgerton fandom has 9 books on which to base their assumptions about the upcoming seasons, they are still left in the dark about some important details. Of course, as with any adaptation, the show's creators tend to make changes to the story to fit the new format.
From adding new characters to expand the ensemble storyline to cutting out the controversial scenes that don't hold up today and replacing them with something new, the changes are inevitable. And even though we haven't seen Benedict Bridgerton's full story yet, there are already some differences from the book series.
Who Will Play Sophie in Bridgerton?
In Benedict's book, An Offer From a Gentleman, Benedict ends up with his love interest named Sophie Beckett. Without giving away too many spoilers, the couple spends a few years before finally giving in to their feelings and ending all the back and forth.

With her sophomore film This Closeness, a sleeper hit on the indie festival circuit in 2023, Kit Zauhar is quickly becoming one of the most interesting filmmakers on the American indie scene. Her honest and disquieting look at 20-something life, for a generation that is increasingly adrift in world that seems to have little to offer them. Making their own way is daunting, yet her characters suggest both vulnerability and ingenuity, even as they fumble towards a hoped-for satisfaction without clear direction. Factory25 will shortly be releasing the film in US cinemas. Tessa and Ben are staying in Philly for the weekend to attend Ben's high school reunion. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the couple has to rent a room in a stranger's apartment. That stranger...

It's been almost a year since we last saw Alexandra Daddario as Rowan Fielding in the Mayfair Witches, but Season 2 is coming.
Mayfair Witches Season 1 ended with some bombshell moments, from Rowan's father's identity being uncovered to the birth of Rowan's child, and ultimately, the powerful line, "You can't control me," which resonates with all of Rowan's character.
This exciting story will continue in Mayfair Witches Season 2 as we follow Rowan and Lasher (Jack Huston) in their next journey together, and it's going to be one for the books. That is if it's anything like the second book in Anne Rice's series.
There are also some new faces joining the cast, so let's dive in and see what Season 2 has in store for us.

Based on Anna Todd books, After is a romantic drama film series that has released five titles so far. In all the films, there are two characters that remain constant, even though the casting of the supporting actors keeps changing. Hardin Scott and Tessa Young were constants who went through their own journey of falling in and out of their relationship, which shaped them as human beings ready to face the world. Only one person out of the two was mature enough to make the right decision, and that was Tessa. Being the younger of two did not stop her from having a sensible head on her shoulder.
Tessa’s story began as a girl in her late teens moving to college and having a high school sweetheart by her side as well. Tessa’s mother and herself have remained each other’s constants so far, and her life so far has been decided.

Talk about a bad first date!
On Chicago Med Season 9 Episode 3, Hannah's date was interrupted when a man and his girlfriend passed out and almost died thanks to fentanyl-laced cocaine -- was that a sign from the universe that this wasn't the man for her?
Probably, especially considering who else was there... and what happened afterward. But maybe it all happened for a reason, and she'll wake up to see who her Mr. Right is soon.
Chicago Med's strength has always been in combining personal and medical stories. This was the first time that a doctor ended up operating on a woman who considered them her worst enemy, though.
Tessa's labor was predictable. As soon as the camera focused on her sizable baby bump, I knew a tired TV trope about pregnant women was coming.
Trying to refuse Hannah's help while she was in labor was silly. That was...

Tessa's labor was predictable. As soon as the camera focused on her sizable baby bump, I knew a tired TV trope about pregnant women was coming.

After Everything, directed by Castille London, is the saga of Hardin Scott and Tessa Young, who were in a relationship from their college days. Just like any other relationship, they went through their own ups and downs, and the turned borderline toxic. This compelled Tessa to end their relationship once and for all. The fourth film in the series ended with the couple ending their long-term relationship to pursue their individual lives. Tessa could sense their relationship becoming toxic by the day and the amount of pain both were inflicting on each other. After Ever Happy ended with Hardin releasing his book, even though Tessa was furious to see him use their love story to sell his books. The fifth film, and possibly the last one in the series, had Hardin going on a cathartic journey that would also help him finish the sequel to his very popular first book,...

The actress is now narrating an audiobook based on the stage show’s eponymous novel. The audiobook, which comes from Macmillan Audio, comes out on January 30. Suzie Miller, Prima Facie’s playwright, adapted it for the page.
It comes after Comer won both Best Actress at the Laurence Olivier Awards and Best Actress in a Play at the Tony Awards for her performance. The play debuted at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London before transferring to Broadway.

Hannah Waddingham and Octavia Spencer? In a show together? Where one of them plays a highly trained assassin? Yep, that works for us. While the show doesn't yet have an official title, it does have a home; Prime Video has snapped up the show and handed out an eight-episode first season order.
Tessa Coates came up with the concept and will serve as executive producer. In the show, Waddingham plays Judith, who has secretly been working as a highly trained assassin. That’s a double life that Judith’s best friend Debbie (Spencer) knows nothing about – until a hit goes wrong. Now Judith and Debbie are on the run, aiming to stay one step ahead of a mysterious enemy. And while they try to figure out what’s going on, they also have to fix their now-ruptured friendship.

There’s a new dynamic duo coming to Prime Video now that Oscar-winner Octavia Spencer and Emmy winner Hannah Waddingham are teaming up for a straight-to-series comedy project from creator Tessa Coates. In addition to their starring roles, Spencer and Waddingham executive produce. Prime Video won the rights to host the project after a competitive situation. The concept comes from Skydance Television.
The 8-episode series hails from one of Coates’ original ideas. It focuses on two best friends, Judith (Waddingham) and Debbie (Spencer), who think they know everything about each other. Lucky for us, their friendship goes to the next level when Debbie learns about Judith’s double life as a highly trained assassin. Debbie gets caught up in Judith’s mess when a hit goes terribly wrong, and the duo must run for their lives while trying to repair their shattered trust. Amazon, following an intensive bidding war, has landed the action-adventure show starring Hannah Waddingham and Octavia Spencer with an eight-episode, straight-to-series order.
The untitled show is based on an original idea from Tessa Coates (Feel Good) that was taken out to six of the major streamers, four of which bought the show while in the room and with the others also making offers before Amazon emerged the victor, prompting the pitch to the seventh streamer to be canceled. The series was one of few new original scripted ideas that generated multiple offers in what many Hollywood insiders say has been an unusually quiet marketplace after the writers strike.
Ted Lasso Emmy winner Waddingham and The Help Oscar winner Octavia Spencer will star as best friends Judith and Debbie, respectively, who work to repair their friendship after Debbie learns Judith is a highly trained assassin.

Tessa Ía, who broke out heading “After Lucía,” Michel Franco’s Cannes winning first feature, is set to star in “Hyperballad,” which offers what is proving one of the most potent mixtures in cutting-edge Latin American film: Genre, ambition, and a first-feature young woman director.
Directed by Alejandra Villalba García, “Hyperballad” (“Hiperbalada”) is lead produced by Hiperbalada, a production house lead by Villalba Garcñia and pic producer Carlos Paz.
It is co-produced by Mexico’s Piano, behind some of the boldest Mexican movies of recent years, such as the Alfonso Cuarón endorsed “We are the Flesh.” Its cosmopolitan co-production credits run from “Triangle of Sadness” to “Annette” and “Memoria.” Piano’s Julio Chavezmontes will also produce “Hyperballad.”
Sharpening the project’s contempo edge, “Hyperballad” portrays the digital world’s angst, psychosis and “phantasmagoria,” in producer Paz’s word.

When Nia DaCosta was offered the job to direct The Marvels, she already had studio experience with 2021’s Candyman. But that doesn’t mean she didn’t ask her friends for advice before joining the big machine that is the Marvel Cinematic Universe. DaCosta spoke to a large swath of directors from Marvel’s roster, including Black Panther‘s Ryan Coogler, Eternals‘ Chloé Zhao and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings‘ Destin Daniel Cretton.
“I talked to a lot of Marvel directors,” DaCosta tells The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s such a specific experience and they make movies in such a unique way, it was really cool to get some insider knowledge.” Of everyone she talked to, DaCosta says Guardians of the Galaxy‘s James Gunn was perhaps the most helpful.
“He really contextualized what we were doing and how hard it was,” DaCosta says. “Sort of reframing the way you think about it.

Josephine Langford is most well known for playing college student Tessa Young in the "After" movies. The franchise, which is inspired by Anna Todd's best-selling book series of the same name, chronicles Tessa's tumultuous relationship with Hardin Scott (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) - a mysterious bad boy with a dark past. The first film, which premiered in 2019, catapulted Langford to fame. Now, years later, Langford has officially said goodbye to Tessa following the release of the final "After" installment "After Everything," which premiered on Sept. 13.
So what's next for Langford? The actress is set to star in the upcoming romantic comedy "The Other Zoey." The film centers around a college student named Zoey, who enters into a fake relationship after a cute guy with amnesia mistakes her for his real girlfriend. The movie will be released in select theaters on Oct. 20 before becoming available on-demand on Nov. 10.

If you've found yourself wondering why you can't recall any of Tessa Thompson's past relationships, that's because she's famously known for keeping details about her personal life private. In fact, the romantic relationship Thompson has talked about most publicly isn't even one that happened in real life: her onscreen relationship with Michael B. Jordan in the Creed franchise.
Thompson told Refinery29 in March that she and Jordan went to couple's therapy as their characters Adonis "Donnie" Creed and Bianca in order to better portray their relationship onscreen, but in the process, it helped them learn more about their own real-life relationships.
"The line sometimes between character and us get blurred because we bring so much of what we're exploring personally to the characters in general," Thompson said. She added that they were "also reflecting on our own relationships" that they've had over the eight years they've worked together on the franchise.

Hero Fiennes Tiffin is having a serious case of writer's block. In an exclusive scene from "After Everything," his character, Hardin, is pressured by his publisher to release his second book after receiving a sizable cash advance.
"You have a tiny window of relevance and it's dwindling every day," the publisher tells him, to which Hardin quips, "Can't rush greatness, can you?"
"I can when I've given you a quarter-million dollar advance," she responds.
"After Everything" is the fifth and final installment in the After franchise. Directed by Castille Landon, the film finds Hardin and Tessa (Josephine Langford) living separate lives following the release of Hardin's revealing book, which Tessa knew nothing about. As a result, Hardin returns to his old ways, drinking and engaging in other harmful habits.
"I thought you were sober?" Hardin's publisher asks him in the clip.
"I was," he responds, before lifting up his drink and cheers-ing with her.
