Randall Rayford, a solar project developer from Houston, Texas, came in with 0 after Friday’s game. Michael Cavaliere, a consultant from New York, New York, had 6,600. And Matt Harvey, a healthcare administrator from Providence, Rhode Island, was in first coming in to the game with 10,000. Matt did once again lead the game through the Jeopardy round, but things shifted in Double Jeopardy. Matt went into Double Jeopardy just ahead of Michael by 200 with $4,200 and he even added $5,400 to his score with a True Daily Double wager by getting the first of the round correct. Second Chance, Michael Cavaliere, a consultant from New York, New York; Sharon Bishop, a high school Spanish teacher from Pawtucket, Rhode Island; and Sophia Weng, a senior social studies major at Harvard College from Chevy Chase, Maryland, had an intense match that saw a contestant make a fatal error. After the first break, Michael earned a substantial lead of $6,400 thanks to his Daily Double wager of $2,600. The lead grew larger when contestants reached Double Jeopardy, with Michael at $10,000, Sharon at $3,400, and Sophia at $2,400. On the first clue of the round, Sophia found the second Daily Double and added $1,400 to her total. With Sophia now coming in hot, Michael secured the third and last Daily Double, adding another $4,800 to his leading score. Self-employed blogger Yogesh Raut is the latest Jeopardy! champion to get fans talking after winning his third consecutive game on Friday (January 13). The Springfield, Illinois native amassed total earnings of 96,403 across his first three games but faced stiff competition last Friday. Raut faced off against consultant Michael Cavaliere and crisis worker trainee Brenda Crowell in a closely fought contest, with Raut trailing behind Cavaliere at various points throughout the episode. Fortunately for Raut, he answered the Final Jeopardy! clue correctly, landing him a winning total of 21,201, while Cavaliere answered incorrectly, taking his winnings from 16,801 to 4,399. Fans have had mixed reactions to Raut so far, with one Twitter user writing, “I do not often wish for someone will lose, but Yogesh’s arrogance is totally off-putting.” However, the freelance writer and podcaster began to win viewers over during Friday’s game. “Yogesh started to win me over this time,” wrote a user of the Jeopardy!
