20th Century Fox's "The Maze Runner: The Death Cure" has indefinitely shut down production for the foreseeable future due to leading man Dylan O'Brien's injuries from an accident on set last month proving more severe than initially expected.
O'Brien was injured on March 18th while shooting the third and last film in the young-adult action-adventure trilogy. The actor was reportedly in a harness on top of a moving vehicle when he was pulled off the vehicle unexpectedly and hit by another vehicle. He was said to have scored "concussion, facial fracture and lacerations" in a report.
Production was shut down for a few weeks in order for the actor to recover, with the hope of resuming filming on May 9th. Now though, sources say that cast and crew have been sent home and a new start date will depend on O'Brien's recovery and the ability to reassemble the large cast and crew.

Strangely dropping a press release on a historic day where the nation's attention is elsewhere, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences revealed their annual list of new member invitees this morning. For those who criticize the makeup of the Academy there was some good news and the stark realization the organization still has a long way to go. The Academy has spent the last eight to 10 years attempting to diversify its membership and this year's class mostly reflects that. There are significantly more invitees of Asian and African-American descent, but the male to female disparity is still depressing. Out of the 25 potential new members of the Actor's Branch only seven are women. And, no, there isn't really an acceptable way for the Academy to spin that sad fact. Additionally, It's important to realize the 322 people noted in the release have only been invited to join Hollywood's most exclusive club.

Henrietta "Etty" Allen died on Jan. 2 at age 89. The mother to former Virginia Gov. George F. Allen and wife to onetime Los Angeles Rams and Washington Redskins coach George H. Allen was reportedly fighting a long illness but died of natural causes, her family says in a statement.
Football is something that ran in the Allen family. Etty met her husband when he was head coach at Morningside College, and then stood by him as he went on to head winning NFL teams. George H. died in 1990. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002.
Their son, Bruce Allen, now acts as the Redskins' general manager. Their other son, George Allen, is a sports psychologist. Daughter Jennifer Allen is a correspondent for the NFL network and also wrote a book about her father called "Fifth Quarter: The Scrimmage of a Football Coach's Daughter."
Etty is survived by her four children.
