The Voice crowned its Season 22 winner on Tuesday (December 13) night as 22-year-old country artist Bryce Leatherwood was named the champion of the hit NBC competition series. Leatherwood was up against tough competition in the final, including his Team Blake teammates Bodie (runner-up) and Brayden Lape (5th place), Team Camila’s Morgan Myles (3rd place), and Team Legend’s Omar Jose Cardona (4th place). The Statesboro, Georgia native, who made it to the Live Rounds after an audience vote, has become the first-ever Instant Save Artist to win The Voice. The finale saw Leatherwood joined on stage by his coach Blake Shelton for a rousing performance of the country star’s own 2011 hit “Hillbilly Bone.” This came after Leatherwood wowed audiences on Monday’s telecast with his rendition of two timeless country classics, “T-r-o-u-b-l-e” by Travis Tritt and “Don’t Close Your Eyes” by Keith Whitley. It’s been quite the journey for Leatherwood,...

‘The Voice’ season 22 finale spotlight: Omar Jose Cardona hopes to make history for Team John Legend
When looking at the final five artists going into “The Voice” season 22 finale on Monday and Tuesday night, Omar Jose Cardona is on his back foot against four artists that earned more public votes than he did in the semi-finals. After the top 8 live show, Omar fell into the bottom half of the public vote and had to sing for the Instant Save. For that reason, he enters finale night as the long-shot to win with his eyes set on making series history as the first artist to win after being saved in the semis. Let’s look at his journey to the finals.

When the final five artists take the stage Monday and Tuesday night for “The Voice” season 22 finale, Morgan Myles will do so under the advisement of first-time coach Camila Cabello. Should Morgan win, it would be only the second time that a coach mentored an artist to win in their own first season. Kelly Clarkson was the first to achieve that feat on season 14 with Brynn Cartelli.

While the laurel of earning Camila a win is nothing to scoff at, Morgan winning would be an incredible feat for the artist that was not only the first performer in the Blind Auditions, but also the first four chair turn of the season. Morgan sang “Hallelujah” during that first impression and was so good that Camila jumped out of the gate with her only block to keep Morgan from joining Gwen Stefani‘s team.

This time last year, it was as easy to predict the winner of The Voice as it was to guess that spring would follow winter. But Season 22 has proven to be a whole other animal.
Jaws dropped on Tuesday, when Team Blake Shelton’s fine-but-not-phenomenal Bryce Leatherwood and Brayden Lape made the Final Five, and Team John Legend’s demonstrably more skilled Kim Cruse and Parijita Bastola were eliminated along with Team Gwen Stefani’s last remaining member, powerhouse Justin Aaron. Bryce and Brayden didn’t even have to sing for the Wildcard Instant Save with Team Legend showstopper Omar Jose Cardona.

Tuesday night’s results show of “The Voice” semi-finals revealed that for only the third time in 22 seasons will a coach enter the finale with three artists in contention. While that feat is impressive, Blake Shelton should be worried because the other two times it’s happened — once on his watch and once on Adam Levine‘s — that coach lost. Team Blake will enter the Season 22 finale of “The Voice” on Monday night with bodie, Brayden Lape and Bryce Leatherwood all competing for the win, but history says they could be in danger and that Team Camila Cabello‘s Morgan Myles or Team John Legend‘s Omar Jose Cardona might prevail instead.

“The Voice” will crown its Season 22 champion on Tuesday, December 13 after the Top 5 take their final bows on the Monday, December 12 performance episode. Coach Blake Shelton has three artists vying to bring him his record-extending ninth victory: bodie, Brayden Lape and Bryce Leatherwood. Rookie coach Camila Cabello has one artist at play with Morgan Myles while John Legend is looking for his second victory with Omar Jose Cardona. Gwen Stefani, who coached Carter Rubin to a Season 19 victory the last time she sat in the big red chair, failed to advance any artist to this cycle’s finale.

Is the decade-long “The Voice” Instant Save curse about to be broken? If John Legend‘s Florida singer Omar Jose Cardona ends up winning Season 22 during the Tuesday, December 13 finale, he’ll make history as the first artist to prevail who was previously saved by social media users. Since the creation of the Instant Save twist in Season 6, none of its recipients have ever gone on to win “The Voice.” Britton Buchanan (Season 14) and Toneisha Harris (Season 18) came closest by each placing second behind their winners, but all of the other times the saved artist finished near the bottom of their respective finales.

The Voice has enlisted Kane Brown, Maluma, OneRepublic, and a pair of American Idol vets, Kelly Clarkson and Adam Lambert, to perform on the Season 22 finale next week.
Clarkson, an on-again, off-again Voice coach, will return to the show to perform her seasonal single “Santa, Can’t You Hear Me”; while the album version of that track is a duet with fellow former Voice coach Ariana Grande, Clarkson will sing it solo on the Dec. 13 episode.

“Oh no!” was the general reaction when The Voice announced that, at the end of the upcoming Season 23, Blake Shelton would be leaving behind his revolving seat. But now “Ok” is kinda what I’m thinking. Am I the only one?
For sure, the country superstar’s mischief will be missed. But the same way that companies can be “too big to fail,” he might be “too popular to fail.” Case in point: When Carson Daly announced on Tuesday the first four singers who’d be advancing to Season 22’s Finals Monday (at 8/7c on NBC), not a single one...

Egot winner John Legend officially attached himself to “The Voice” coaching panel during its 16th installment, after previously giving advice as a mentor. Magic struck on his first season when he proved victorious as a coach with artist Maelyn Jarmon (Season 16), but he’s never won since. Now that the Season 22 blind auditions, battles and knockouts are behind us, can John prevail yet again on NBC’s reality TV show and officially end his losing streak?

Bonjour, “Emily in Paris”! Lily Collins and the cast of the Netflix series teased the upcoming third season in style in Paris, and only Et was exclusively in the City of Lights to get the scoop on what Emily is up to in her work and romantic lives.
The new season, which drops Dec. 21, finds Emily at a crossroads in all aspects of her life as she is forced to decide ultimately where her loyalties lie — both personally and professionally — and what those decisions mean for her future in France, all while continuing to immerse herself in the adventures and surprising twists and turns that life in Paris provides.
If the season 2 finale was enough of a jaw-dropper, Collins hints that the final episode of the new season is even more surprising. “I will say that the last episode leaves you on another cliffhanger,” the series’ leading lady teased to...

Dunno about you, but I went into Tuesday’s Semi-Finals Results Show of The Voice braced for disaster. Although Team John Legend’s Kim Cruse and Team Camila Cabello’s Morgan Myles had given performances Monday that should have incontrovertibly catapulted them into the Top 5, our fellow viewers’ favorites… well, they aren’t always the actual standouts, are they. (Yes, I still miss Team Camila’s Devix.)

However, there is a slight wrinkle in that the contestants who place at the bottom have to face off one more time on results night for the live Instant Save. After each of the at-risk artists performs, host Carson Daly opens the voting for exactly five minutes, so time is of the essence if you want to save your favorites. Read on for everything to know about “The Voice” Instant Save, including how to vote.
