Sonic creator Hirokazu Yasuhara joins Nintendo of America in a currently unrevealed role.
Yasuhara has joined Nintendo's Redmond, Washington offices after his most recent stint at Namco Bandai where he handled game design chores for Pac Man Party. Before that, he worked on the Jak and Daxter and Uncharted games with Naughty Dog, and earlier still, at 2K Sports after the end of the Dreamcast era.
The Game Designer and Director has been around the industry for almost 25 years now, getting his start at Sega in '88, and acting as the designer for the speedy blue hedgehog's first adventure in 1991 for his first title on the Genesis.
He's officially an employee of Nintendo subsidiary Nintendo Software Technology, but right now it's unclear what his new role will be at the company.
