The Little Mermaid is one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved fairytales. The story has been made popular by Disney’s 1989 animated feature, which altered a lot of the original story, and which also received a live-action remake in 2023, starring Halle Bailey. But, it seems that this was not the final live-action adaptation of the story, as Msr Media International is bringing us a live-action horror adaptation of Andersen’s story, which recently received its first trailer and poster.

The Princess of Wales and Duke of Sussex are, a royal expert claims, at a “stalemate.” The two have reasons for not reaching out, and now Kate has her “own problems.” Read: Katespiracies and family photo drama.
Kate doesn’t want anything to do with Harry (or Meghan) as she recovers from abdominal surgery
Sure, Kate’s close friends are supporting her as she continues to recover from a January 2024 abdominal surgery. Her parents and siblings are also helping out. Not part of Kate’s support system, however, are Harry and Meghan Markle.

The international scope and grueling human cost of the global refugee crisis lends itself to contemporary epic filmmaking of a particularly sober stripe, as seen mostly recently in Agnieszka Holland’s “Green Border” and Matteo Garrone’s Oscar-nominated “Io Capitano.” Shorn of their ripped-from-the-headlines urgency, such stories of humans crossing vast distances and facing hostile odds in pursuit of a better life are as old as time itself. A muscular, assured debut feature from U.S. producer-turned-director Brandt Andersen, “The Strangers’ Case” stresses the sprawling scale of the situation with a chaptered structure that pivots between multiple involved parties in the refugee’s journey, from warmongers to traffickers to rescuers to the displaced victims themselves.
That wide span, however, prevents a particularly penetrating look at any individual experience of the crisis. Brandt draws his characters in broad, flat strokes that serve the architecture of the narrative — and its cumulative, practically...

Prince Harry‘s royal return may have one obstacle: his brother Prince William. A royal expert believes William wants to protect his wife, Kate Middleton from stress as she recuperates from abdominal surgery.
Prince William will stand up to Prince Harry for wife Kate Middleton
Prince William and Prince Harry’s relationship showed signs of strain before Harry’s marriage to Meghan Markle. A growing divide between the brothers remains after Harry and Meghan’s exit and their public criticism of the royal family.
Royal expert Helena Chard told Fox News Digital, “I don’t believe Prince Harry is truly interested in supporting the British royal family. But his currency is the royal family.”
“It’s in his interest to keep associated with them. The British monarchy continues to represent continuity, stability, and pride.

Picture Tree Intl. has boarded international sales rights of “Unsinkable” (Synkefri), written and directed by Christian Andersen, and has debuted the trailer (below).
The film is set in the small fishing town of Hirtshals, Denmark, where life is intricately intertwined with the sea, as it both takes and gives. It is based on a true event in northern Denmark in 1981, the sinking of the rescue boat RF2 during one of its initial missions resulting in the loss of nine lives.
Mainly shot on location and with local extras and witnesses of the 1981 accident, the film is also a personal project of the director, whose mother lost her husband, the father of his older brothers.
“Unsinkable” is Andersen’s second feature after “None Shall Sleep” (2019). Co-writer Martin Strange-Hansen won an Oscar as director and writer for “This Charming Man” (2003) for best live action short film and was again nominated for the...

Early in the documentary Pictures of Ghosts, writer-director Kleber Mendonça Filho cuts to a television interview with his late mother, Joselice Jucá, a historian and a key figure in the film. The interviewer asks why she’s chosen an oral history as the medium for a project on Brazilian abolitionist leader Joaquim Nabuco. As she explains her process, Mendonça Filho’s voice enters to note that “it may seem like I’m discussing methodology, but I’m talking about love.” The filmmaker seems to have taken his mother’s emotional investment in her subject matter to heart, as the methodology in Pictures of Ghosts—a historical document of his hometown of Recife, with a particular focus on its movie theaters—is ultimately in service of the filmmaker’s own personal relationship to the people, places, and images that he captures.

Paris, Sep 4 (Ians) Children and adults living with lung conditions, such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (Copd), face even greater risks from climate change, according to a report on Monday.
The report, published in the European Respiratory Journal, brings together evidence on how the effects of climate change, such as heatwaves, wildfires and flooding, will exacerbate breathing difficulties for millions of people around the world, particularly babies, young children and the elderly.
“Climate change affects everyone’s health, but arguably, respiratory patients are among the most vulnerable. These are people who already experience breathing difficulties and they are far more sensitive to our changing climate. Their symptoms will become worse, and for some this will be fatal,” said Professor Zorana Jovanovic Andersen, Chair of the European Respiratory Society’s Environment and Health Committee.

Members of the royal family aren’t strangers to controversy. And for King Charles, the biggest controversy of his life has been his extramarital affair with Queen Camilla (formerly Camilla Parker Bowles) while married to Princess Diana.
His public admission of adultery and eventual split from the princess has pretty much overshadowed every cause he has championed and all the other work he’s done over the last three decades. And even though he’s the monarch now, at least one royal author believes the late Princess Diana will “remain a thorn” in her ex-husband’s side.

Princess Diana‘s tragic death was a titular moment in royal family history. However, the clan, known for keeping a stiff upper lip in the most devastating circumstances, handled things uniquely. How did the royal family react to Princess Diana’s death?
Here’s how Prince Harry and Prince William reacted to the news of Princess Diana’s death
In an interview with Newsweek, Prince Harry explained how difficult it was to try and understand the enormity of his mother’s death. He regretted partaking in one particular aspect of her funeral procession.
“My mother had just died, and I had to walk a long way behind her coffin, surrounded by thousands of people watching me while millions more did on television,” Harry explained. “I don’t think any child should be asked to do that. I don’t think it would happen today.”

Washington, March 7 (Ians) A February 2020 science paper that debunked the Covid lab leak theory was commissioned by former White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci, according to the US House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic.
The Select Subcommittee said that new email evidence shows that Dr. Fauci ordered, helped to edit, and gave final approval to a paper titled “The Proximal Origin of Sars-CoV-2,” published in the journal Nature Medicine.
The paper “disproved” that Covid originated from China’s infamous Wuhan Institute of Virology (Wiv). Instead it showed that coronavirus had “mutations” that were “totally consistent with a jump of a species from an animal to a human”.
The authors of the scientific paper “skewed available evidence to achieve that goal”, the Select Subcommittee said.
Two months later, in April, Fauci quoted the same paper to wave off concerns that the virus might have come from a Chinese facility.
