Exclusive: Paramount Network has opted not to pick up a second season of comedic drama 68 Whiskey, an adaptation of the Israeli TV series Charlie Golf One.
The show, from Imagine Television Studios and CBS TV Studios, was well received with a 88% fresh Rotten Tomatoes rating. It also got off to a strong TV ratings start, with the January 15 premiere drawing 2 million viewers in Live+3 Nielsen numbers to mark the most-watched cable drama series premiere in the metric since November 2018. Following the promising premiere the ratings slipped, however, and overall the series ranked outside of the Top 100 in total viewers, adults 18-49 and 25-54 year-to-date (Live+3).
68 Whiskey‘s cancellation leaves powerhouse Yellowstone as Paramount Network’s only current original scripted series. The net’s dramedy Emily In Paris recently relocated to Netflix. Paramount Network earlier this year gave a series order to drama Coyote starring Michael Chiklis.

Ron Howard and Brian Grazer’s Paramount Network series, 68 Whiskey, will manifest as a military dramedy.
68 Whiskey is ready to make its mark as the next blue-chip television offering on the rebranded-from-Spike-tv and still-burgeoning Paramount Network, set as the first original series to accompany its hit drama, Yellowstone.
The series, an Americanized adaptation of Israeli television offering Charlie Golf One, is a modern military dramedy that arrives under the auspices of executive producers in Ron Howard and Brian Grazer. Of course, 68 Whiskey will immediately evoke the memory of M*A*S*H., since, like that classic series, it centers on the daily travails (and hijinks) of military combat medics – in this case stationed in Afghanistan. Imagine Television Studios and CBS Television Studios are producing the series.

Having experienced plenty of American Crime, Timothy Hutton is now turning his attention to the legal system.
The actor will co-star in the CBS drama pilot Main Justice, which is inspired by the life and work of Eric Holder, the first African-American Attorney General of the United States, our sister site Deadline reports.
Hutton will play Deputy Attorney General Thomas Yarrow, who was the interim Attorney General prior to the recently sworn-in Miles Blair (Fargo‘s Bokeem Woodbine). Yarrow — whose ego is only matched by the money he spends on his wardrobe — is immediately critical of Blair’s decisions.

"White people steppin'?!" "I know..." Netflix has unveiled a trailer for an indie comedy titled Step Sisters, a fictionalized feature about a step dancing competition and a sorority. Megalyn Echikunwoke stars as a top-of-the-class woman at a university who is tasked with teaching her "misbehaving, mostly white sorority how to step" but gets into all kinds of trouble when she instead decides to train her rival sorority house to get ready for the competition. The cast includes Matt McGorry, Naturi Naughton, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Marque Richardson, Eden Sher, Lyndon Smith, Gage Golightly, Nia Jervier, and Alessandra Torresani. Unfortunately, this looks pretty terrible, even though there seems to be good intentions behind it. I would recommend just watching the documentary Step instead, about actual step dancers. Have fun. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Charles Stone III's Step Sisters, direct from YouTube: Jamilah Bishop (Megalyn Echikunwoke) seems to...

Riddle me this – why remake Cabin Fever, a cult-classic that demands no update, and furthermore, why use the Same stinkin’ script? It’s only been 15 years since Eli Roth launched his gory brand through this little creepshow, and each victim’s festering wounds still hold up surprisingly well against today’s effects, both indie and mainstream.
Granted, Roth does lodge a producing credit, so new director Travis Zariwny is in good graces, but original ideas are already disappointingly scarce enough. There’s no plausible reason to throw a movie we’ve already seen into the 2016 horror mix. No matter how trivial both sequels might have been, at least they attempted something Different. Don’t believe the marketing campaign for Cabin Fever (2016), and its claims that new kill sequences revamp Roth’s infectious brainchild. This is the ultimate remake cash-grab, in the most unnecessary of ways.
Do I need to run a plot recap here?...

I loved the original Cabin Fever! Remember when Cerina Vincent was shaving her legs and her skin started coming off?! Ick! Now, just 14 years later, they’ve remade Cabin Fever.
The director of the original, Eli Roth, is Executive Producer this time for the reboot of his instant classic gorefest, which features all new characters and all new kills. This story is familiar: fresh out of college, a group of five friends retreat to a remote cabin in the woods for one last week of partying- only to become snacks for a gruesome, flesh-eating virus. What’s surprising are the ingenious new deaths, which offer a fresh spin on a horror-comedy milestone. With Gage Golightly (Teen Wolf) and Dustin Ingram (Paranormal Activity 3).
The new Cabin Fever is directed by Travis Zariwny and stars Gage Golightly, Dustin Ingram, Nadine Crocker, Matthew Daddario & Samuel Davis

The first trailer has been released for the remake of Eli Roth’s 2002 horror gore-fest, Cabin Fever, and it doesn’t look much different than the original film. I actually kind of enjoyed the first movie, but I have no desire to watch this remake. It’s completely pointless. It’s the same freakin’ story but with different actors. Why was money wasted on remaking this movie?
A group of five friends rent a getaway cabin in the woods and begin to fall victim to a horrifying flesh-eating virus, which attracts the unwanted attention of the homicidal locals.
The movie was directed by Travis Zariwny, who is a former production designer and camera assistant, and the cast includes Gage Golightly, Matthew Daddario, Nadine Crocker, Dustin Ingram, Samuel Davis, Louise Linton, and Randy Schulman. Cabin Fever hits theaters on February 12th.

Another day, another remake. The first official trailer for the remake of Eli Roth's 2002 horror film Cabin Fever has arrived online. I don't know why anyone felt it was necessary to remake this horror film, but they went for it anyway. Eli Roth actually executive produced this new version of his freaky horror hit, which is full of pretty people screaming and getting all bloody and chopped up. The cast includes Gage Golightly, Matthew Daddario, Nadine Crocker, Dustin Ingram, Samuel Davis, Louise Linton and Randy Schulman. Nothing I'm interested in seeing, but if you're curious about this film, give this trailer a look. You might think Eli Roth's breakout film, "Cabin Fever," which spawned two sequels, the most recent of which arrived two years ago, would be a property perhaps worth pausing on at the moment.
