Robert Ross is the leading authority on the history of British comedy. He has written a library of books, including best-selling reference works: The Monty Python Encyclopedia and The Complete Terry-Thomas; lavish celebrations: The Carry On Story and The Goodies Rule OK; and official BBC celebrations of Last of the Summer Wine and Steptoe and Son. He has also written biographies of Sid James and Marty Feldman, and Doctor Who audio plays for sixth Doctor, Colin Baker. Robert is a frequent guest on radio, and his many television credits include interviews for Top Ten: Comedy Records, Will the Real Basil Fawlty Please Stand Up?, When Comedy Goes Horribly Wrong and Richard & Judy. He is a frequent face on Talking Pictures TV.
