Ke$ha fans, grab your vomit bags because the pop star is getting even more bizarre in her upcoming MTV documentary series, "Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life."
Ke$ha said she drinks her own urine in the reality series, which was filmed by her journalist brother Lagan Sebert and family friend Steven Greenstreet. "We didn't know what we were doing per se, but it's my little brother and he's my best friend. He's got me wasted at 6 a.m. ... He got all the things you would want to see and all the things you wouldn't really want to see -- making out with dudes, drinking my own pee, jumping out of a building, jumping out of aeroplanes, swimming with sharks ... " she told BBC Radio 1, according to "The New Zealand Herald."
"I was told drinking my own pee was good, I was trying to be healthy ... Somebody tried to take...

Here's a seriously awesome fan-made Dark Knight Rises trailer that was cut to the music used for the trailer of David Fincher's The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo! The end result turned out pretty incredible, and it just might be the best trailer I've seen for The Dark Kinght Rises so far. I've watched it a few times already, and it works perfectly every time. I guess you could cut any trailer to the Trent Reznor and Karen O's cover of Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song," and it would turn out being badass.
A big thanks to YouTube user Steven Greenstreet for entertaining us with this very cool trailer! Let us know if you liked it!

While I continue to replay the various teasers and trailers for The Dark Knight Rises, it is very hard to argue that they all show pretty much the same footage. As I drool over each individual new film cell that Christopher Nolan allows to be released, I still have to go to multiple videos to see them all. Intrepid YouTuber Steven Greenstreet has not only solved my conundrum but he has cut a new trailer for The Dark Knight Rises that mimics the now iconic teaser for David Fincher's The Girl...

Release Date: July 13 Writer/Director: Reed Cowan Co-Director: Steven Greenstreet Cinematographers: Reed Cowan, Chris Volz Studio: David v. Goliath Films Should have died in committee The passage of Proposition 8 in California was a devastating blow to gay rights in America. And, at least according to the central conceit of 8: The Mormon Proposition, its success was due to funding and support from the Mormon Church. The documentary attempts to show how the church quietly rallied its members around this cause for what was initially an unpopular provision, and boasts an impressive level of research and relatively slick approach....

Reed Cowan, Director of 8: The Mormon Proposition - Interview
A movie like this is vitally important to the dialogue process.
There are certain things in this world where there is a definite understanding that it simply cannot last. When it came to discrimination at the turn of the last century it was fine to turn away people based on which country they came from, at the mid-century mark we thought there was nothing wrong with separating people based on the color of their skin, and even now there are people who think that discriminating against individuals based on their sexual orientation is Ok. The fact that the two former facts are now seen a egregiously backward and a blemish on the...

Having been involved with the No on 8 campaign, I found myself almost immediately attached to 8: The Mormon Proposition in a highly personal manner. It’s hard to speak to my level of objectivity when I cried at least five times while watching the film. Reed Cowan’s documentary on the passing of the titular proposition in the state of California aims to reveal the true nature of the Mormon church’s involvement with the coalition created specifically to pass the proposition (which defines marriage as existing only between a man and a woman), both financially and morally. It is frequently horrifying.

8: The Mormon Proposition is a stirring, tragically depressing documentary about the Mormon Church's massive efforts to support and pass California's Proposition 8 ballot initiative (also called the California Marriage Protection Act), which in 2008 redefined marriage in the state of California as being only between a man and a woman, effectively making marriage between same-sex couples illegal and unrecognized. Depending on which side of the debate you stand on, you will find it either silly and pointless, or obscenely infuriating and find yourself filled with a sense of righteous fury.
I found myself in the latter category. If you're looking for an impartial review, I confess that you won't find it here.
It's an unbelievably in-depth film, covering the history of the Mormon church, a good bit of their philosophies and ideologies, and then their concentrated efforts to pass anti-marriage laws in both Hawaii and California. The film comes at the...

Filmmakers Reed Cowan and Steven Greenstreet explain what drove them to expose the Mormon Church’s position in the passing of California Proposition 8. Their documentary, “8:The Mormon Proposition,” tracks the role the Mormon Church played in coordinating, financing and promoting the campaign against same-sex marriage in the 2008 California election through never-before-seen documents and insider interviews. Cowan discusses the unusual position they put themselves in by screening their film at Sundance, in a state with the largest population of Mormon’s in the country. Cowan and Greenstreet, who both grew up Mormon, delve into memories of their childhoods, what their church taught them about equality, working as missionaries for the Mormon Church, and the affect all this has had on their filmmaking today. In particular, Cowan reflects on the unique challenges of being openly gay and Mormon. The duo gives an account of their decision to have screenwriter and prominent Lgbt...

Scheduled to be released on the second anniversary of California's legislation of gay marriage, 8: The Mormon Proposition marks the occasion with a furious requiem. Mournful and righteous in its retracing of the months between the bill's passage and election night in November 2008, the film assembles a damning case against the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Lds), which spearheaded a massive campaign to revoke gay marriage rights. Directors Reed Cowan and Steven Greenstreet make their agenda clear from the first frames, which depict a Mormon "prophet" calmly denouncing gay marriage in extreme close-up, his face distorted with scary, Poltergeist-style pixilation. The opening impression -- that the Lds acted villainously with regard to Prop 8 -- will soon be supported by a raft of facts; that the Mormon church couldn't have done it alone is a complication the film sidesteps almost completely.
