The exclusive club of YouTube channels with ten million subscribers now has one more member. The Movieclips Trailers channel, owned by movie ticketing company Fandango, has released a video celebrating its achievement of YouTube’s eight-digit milestone.
The Movieclips Trailers channel, which Fandango bought from Zefr (along with the other destinations in the Movieclips network) in 2014, is a hub on which viewers can find previews for upcoming films. In fitting fashion, the channel celebrated its ten million subscribers with a video that quotes from famous movies. Among other lines, Movieclips made sure to let its viewers know they make it feel, as Leonardo DiCaprio would say, like “the king of the world.”
“Surpassing 10 million subscribers on our movie trailers YouTube channel is a significant milestone as we strive to super-serve consumers with all their movie needs from movie discovery to ticketing and beyond,” said Fandango Cco Sandro Corsaro in a press release.

After asking celebrity guests to say I Love Movies, Fandango is now inviting other collaborators to its Movie3Some. The ticketing company’s Movieclips brand has taken up residency at YouTube Space La, where it is shooting a weekly series dedicated to current films.
Movie3Some will be hosted by Kristian Harloff and Tiffany Smith, both of whom have previously made videos on the Schmoes Know channel. Each week, Harloff and Smith will complete their threesome by inviting a guest to join their discussion of recent movies. Guests will range from people within the film industry (such as director Guillermo del Toro, who is no stranger to YouTube Space La) to those outside it (such as Dwight Howard, who also appeared on Fandango’s previous series, I Love Movies).
The partnership between Fandango and YouTube Space La is a logical one. Fandango often creates videos that relate to current movies,...

Fandango has released a new and very meta web series. On June 10, 2015, the movie ticketing service launched the first episode of Movieclips Mini Movies: Featuring Brian the Minion, which finds the lovable Minions from the Despicable Me movies responding to classic films.
The Movieclips Mini Movies series features the new Minion character Brian, who goes to the movies with his brothers. Things get a little crazy when the Minions, a la Mystery Science Theater, start reacting to classic Universal Pictures’ films like Back to the Future and E.T. The debut episode of Movieclips Mini Movies features Brian and his siblings watching Jurassic Park, just in time for the June 12 release of the film Jurassic World.
Fandango’s Movieclips Mini Movies is also timed to promote the upcoming film and Despicable Me prequel Minions, which will premiere in theaters on July 10. The Minions-themed web series is a joint production between Universal,...

Three weeks ago, Fandango announced a web series called I Love Movies that will tie into the ‘We Love Movies’ campaign the ticketing company will run for the summer season. The first episode of that web series has now arrived, with NBA star Dwight Howard telling audiences about his love for Finding Nemo.
The Houston Rockets’ center, who is in the middle of a playoff push, explains to viewers about the similarities between himself and Nemo, does his best Bruce the Shark impersonation, and shares other personal reflections on the 2003 Pixar hit. Given some of Howard’s previous tweets, it comes as no surprise that he chose a kids movie as his film of choice.
“The influence of movies on our culture is far reaching and personal, as we all have favorite film memories,” said Fandango Chief Creative Officer and series creator Sandro Corsaro in a release.

If past years are any indication, Comic-Con will begin releasing its official 2011 panel schedule later today (Wednesday) with the schedule for Preview Night, Wednesday, July 20. If that happens then we can expect them to follow suit for the rest of the days, so that Thursday will see the release of the Thursday of Con schedule, etc., through Sunday.
Once the official schedules are posted these “TV and Movie Panels and Screenings Updates” will be scaled back to just the date, time, title, and location, since the rest of the information and So Much More (including comics panels, autograph signings, etc.) will be available on the Comic-Con schedule link we’ll provide. Consider this, then, the last of the extremely long posts, and hopefully we’ll be getting that official schedule soon.
Hmm, here’s an interesting matchup: Glee will be in Hall H on Sunday at 10:00; Supernatural will be...
