- Although only a dancer from 1927-1940 she is remembered as one the top ballet dancers in dance history. She was also a critic (with her husband Nigel Gosling) under the name Alexander Bland
- 8th December 2004. At 4pm, Nicholas Gosling led family members and the many friends of the arts of ballet, dance and opera, in her memorial service conducted at Mortlake Crematorium in Kew, London, UK. Music for the ceremony included "Sortie in E flat major" by Lefébure-Wély and "Lord of the Dance".
- A Memorial tribute was held at Sadler's Wells Theatre in London on 28th May 2005. The performance program performed by Ballet Rambert was dedicated to her memory with "Dark Elegies" and a new work "Constant Speed" choreographed by artistic director, Mark Baldwin. Family and dance friends were entertained with memories from speakers, John Tooley: Nureyev Foundation, Leo Kersley: Ballet Club, Jann Parry: Observer, Tristam Holland: Confidante, reading a message from Wallace Potts and Jane Pritchard: Rambert archivist. An archive compilation of photographs and rare film footage of Maude dancing was shown.
