Before "As the World Turns" concludes its run on September 17, the stars would like to have one final celebration. Terri Colombino, Mick Hazen, Austin Peck, Eileen Fulton and others joined executive producer Christopher Goutman at The Paley Center for Media on Wednesday, August 18 night for a farewell party.
After more than 5 decades on television, "As the World Turns" which catapulted the career of Julianne Moore, is coming to an end. CBS announced the cancellation based on the declining rating. The producers also failed to secure a new home for the soap drama.
However, new beginnings would mark the end of the daytime series with the weddings, reconciliations and reunions. "We're trying to bring a 54-year-old show to a satisfactory and emotional wrap-up and to call it difficult would be the understatement of the century," Goutman told TV Guide. He later confirmed, "Barbara and Henry will finally make it to the altar.
