Those mockbuster makers at The Asylum are at it again. When the first live-action Transformers movie was released back in 2007, The Asylum got in on the giant robot action by releasing a movie called Transmorphers. The Transformers sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen followed in 2009 – so The Asylum responded with the Transmorphers prequel Transmorphers: Fall of Man. Since then, the Transformers franchise has continued to grow. There was Transformers: Dark of the Moon in 2011, Transformers: Age of Extinction in 2014, Transformers: The Last Knight in 2017, and the spin-off prequel Bumblebee in 2018. Another prequel, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, is in theatres right now. And while The Asylum has let several Transformers movies come and go without meeting them with a Transmorphers mockbuster, this year they’re finally reviving the franchise with Transmorphers: Mech Beasts! You can watch the film’s trailer in the embed above.

The tagline for The Asylum’s latest film Monster Armageddon reads “Welcome to the Multiverse”. But the film actually has less in common with Marvel or DC’s concept of shared universes than it does with Toho’s monster mashes like Destroy All Monsters and Godzilla Final Wars.
As the film opens an unidentified object heading toward Earth takes out the Iss. At the same time a US Navy ship under the command of Ltc Madoyln Webb is attacked and sunk by a giant, one might even say mega, piranha. Could there be a connection? Of course, there is.

"It must feel good... to be home." Vertical Entertainment has premiered the main official trailer for an indie kidnapping thriller titled Captive, marking the feature directorial of filmmaker Savvas Christou originally from Cyprus. This first premiered at the Frightening Ass Film Fest last year, and also stopped by the Nevermore and HorrorHound Film Festivals this year. Originally titled Katherine's Lullaby, the film is about a teenage runaway who's trapped by a delusional man who thinks she's his daughter. She'll have to play the part to survive and hopefully escape. Tori Kostic stars as Lily, with a small cast including William Kircher, Jolene Andersen, and Meghan Hanako. This doesn't look like it's very different or offers anything more distinct than any of the other dozens of kidnapping and escape survival thrillers made recently. Still, I'm expecting this will have some twists and turns by the end... just has that vibe. Take a look.

"The vampires from the sky. They're here for blood!" Gravitas Ventures has released an official trailer for an indie action thriller sci-fi alien invasion movie called Attack of the Unknown. Not only are there some gnarly aliens in this, but the group gets trapped inside of a building with no way to communicate to the outside and no idea what is really going on anyway. A Swat team transporting a vicious crime syndicate boss must fight their way out of a county detention center during a catastrophic alien invasion. Attack of the Unknown stars Richard Grieco, Tara Reid, Robert Lasardo, Tania Fox, Jolene Andersen, and Douglas Tait. This looks exactly like the kind of random sci-fi B-movie you'd find in the back of a rental shop, and watch over & over until the tape wears out. Either you'll hate it or think it looks ridiculously fun. Here's the official trailer (+ two...

Guilt is a powerful thing. It can make you act in ways that go against your own survival and yet still ensure those actions are selfishly motivated. You aren’t necessarily acting to help another or have their best interests in mind. You’re goal is to make-up for something you did previously. It’s about feeling better and feeding a misguided notion that you’re somehow the center of attention—the inevitable bringer of unwarranted pain and suffering. Wars have been fought over guilt. Religions have embraced it as strength. But all it truly delivers is a skewed outlook on responsibility. Sometimes things are simply out of your control. Sometimes an accident is exactly that. Guilt is a destroyer too many just can’t ignore. And it drives us straight towards oblivion.

Dimension Extreme is really pushing out Hellraiser: Revelations, the Victor Garcia-directed sequel that will open in limited theaters September 2, with a VOD launch on September 1. The ninth film in the Hellraiser film series is set to move to DVD shelves October 18th and now the first trailer for this feature is available. Actor Doug Bradley has played Pinhead, the central antagonist, in the previous eight films, but he declined to participate in this latest film, titled Hellraiser: Revelations, after reading the script (Bradley). The short shoot time of two weeks also signals a possible rush to complete the film by Puzzlebox Films, which has no other titles attached to its name. Horror fans and Hellraiser fans can take a look at the clip here, which involves a late night at a bar, a bum, a box, and a bumbling line or two.

Synopsis - Two friends in Mexico discover the Lament Configuration and unleash Pinhead, but one decides to try to survive by swapping himself with someone else. Once they go missing, family members go in search of them but find Pinhead instead. Pinhead makes his return to the silver screen, but that isn't quite the quality I was hoping or expecting. Obviously this is a low budget production, and doesn't seem worthy of the title, "Hellraiser." Hellraiser: Revelations, directed by Victor Garcia (Mirrors 2), stars Steven Brand, Daniel Buran, Jolene Andersen, Nick Eversman, Stephen Smith Collins, and Jay Gillespie. On VOD and in limited theaters September. On DVD and Blu-ray October 18th.

Here's your first look a the new Hellraiser: Revelations horror film. To be honest I'm not the biggest fan of the Hellraiser franchise. I've seen many of the films, but they aren't movies that I find myself watching over and over again. I saw the original film when I was young, and it freakin' jacked me up. As for this new film, I'm sure I'll eventually see it, but I'm in no rush.

"You opened it, summoned us, we came." Dimension Extreme has unveiled the official trailer via B-d.com for their new sequel Hellraiser: Revelations, a low-rent direct-to-dvd horror inspired by Clive Barker's classic. I didn't even know a new Hellraiser flick actually made it into production, but after watching this trailer, I wish I could've kept it that way. This looks like student filmmakers trying to make an homage to Hellraiser, I can't believe this is a real movie made by a studio. Revelations stars Steven Brand as the new Pinhead, with Daniel Buran, Jolene Andersen and Nick Eversman. You've been warned - this looks terrible! This is the ninth Hellraiser film and the first to not have actor Doug Bradley in the lead role of Pinhead. All nine films are based on Clive Barker's novel The Hellbound Heart. Early reviews on this latest film have not been kind, with the Foy Wonder at Dread Central calling this film "rushed" and giving the film 0 out of 5 knives. So, this article is more of a warning than an endorsement. More details on the release are below.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, the tattoos covering the body of a serial rapist and murderer, played by John Thaddeus, should be invaluable. When a 911 operator in Tallahassee, Florida receives a call about a dead body, she doesn’t realize that the caller is about to provide the dead body in question -- his own. He kills himself and the local authorities find a wealth of evidence point to numerous kidnapping/murders of young women dating back to 2000. Agent Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) and his team are called in to make sense of the evidence left behind by the killer, and make the discovery that every deceased victim is pictured on the killer’s "story board" and on his body in a web of tattoos. All but...
