Adam Green will be honored with a new tribute album, dubbed Moping in Style, that features renditions of his solo music from artists including Regina Spektor, Father John Misty, and Jenny Lewis. The project arrives in full December 1st, and as a preview, Org Music and Capitane Records have shared Sean Ono Lennon’s cover of “That Fucking Feeling.”
Best known as one-half of The Moldy Peaches, Green has released 11 solo albums over the past twenty years. The impressive roster on Moping in Style speaks to his influence in the indie rock community: in addition to those aforementioned artists, it boasts The Lemon Twigs, Frankie Cosmos, Lou Barlow, The Lemonheads, The Libertines, and Ben Kweller among its contributors. Pre-orders for the tribute album, which arrives on double LP gatefold and CD, are ongoing.

Exclusive: Bérénice Bejo (The Artist) agreed that making Cannes opening-night film Final Cut (Coupez!) with filmmaker husband Michel Hazanavicius (The Players) had been a family affair.
Pausing for a split second to make a mental calculation, she began, “Our daughter, his daughter, a niece who was the camera woman in the film, and our son who you barely saw — yes, it was a family affair.”
To explain, she’s referring to the couple’s daughter Gloria, Hazanavicius’ daughter Simone from a previous relationship, his brother’s daughter and niece Raika and the couple’s teenage son Lucien.
”That’s right,” Bejo told Deadline at the opening-night dinner for Final Cut at the Hotel Martinez. “We wanted the family close. The pandemic was going on and it gave us peace of mind to all be together.”
It was well after midnight, probably closer to 1am, and following each conversation with a mixture of guests,...

After beating the odds last year by hosting a physical edition in the midst of the pandemic, Cannes chief Thierry Fremaux’s Lumière Festival kicked off in Lyon with great fanfare and prestigious guests including Paolo Sorrentino, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Netflix’s co-ceo Ted Sarandos, Valeria Golino, Joachim Trier, Rossy de Palma, Melanie Laurent and Edouard Baer.
The festival, which unfolds in the birthplace of the Cinematograph and its creators, the Lumière brothers, is dedicating its 13th edition to its long-time president Bertrand Tavernier, the beloved filmmaker who recently died.
During his opening speech, the usually voluble Frémaux had to take a moment to regain his composure as he paid an emotional tribute to Tavernier, his friend and close collaborator, with whom he worked side by side for nearly four decades at the Lumière Institute.
“Bertrand has left us with a heritage that is so major and so immense, and your...
