Investigation Discovery is diving back into Hollywood murders with season two of Death By Fame, which just unveiled an official trailer. Premiering on ID on January 22, 2024, new episodes of season two will air on Mondays at 9pm Et/Pt.
Season two will kick off with “A Rising Star Shot Down,” an episode focusing on Tara Correa-McMullen’s murder. Correa-McMullen played a recurring character (gang member Graciela Reyes) on Judging Amy, and at 15 years old, she was working on establishing her acting career. The gang member who gunned down Judging Amy star Tara Correa-McMullen has been sentenced to life without parole.
Damien Watts, 23, was convicted of murder with special circumstances, attempted murder and other charges in January, following the shooting in Inglewood, Los Angeles in 2005 - which left sixteen-year-old Correa-McMullen and another victim dead.
Watts was handed consecutive life terms for the crime on Friday. A day before the attack, he also killed Thomas Sanders, 31, as he loaded laundry into a car.
Correa-McMullen, real name Shalvah McMullen, starred as a gang member in Judging Amy, as well as appearing alongside Martin Lawrence in comedy movie Rebound.

Judging Amy teen actress Tara Correa-McMullen has been killed in a gang shooting at the tender age of 16. Correa-McMullen was fatally shot several times as she stood outside an apartment complex in Inglewood, California on October 21. No suspects have been identified, although the police believe the shooting was gang-related. Sergeant Steve Overly says, "She may have just been at the wrong place at the wrong time." At the actress' funeral on Friday, her parents Devora Correa and Thomas McMullen paid tribute to their daughter's friendly nature, saying she would socialize with everyone "whether they were a grip or a caterer."
