A pair of prosecution witnesses in the Danny Masterson criminal rape trial separately testified Friday that when they heard two different accusers’ allegations against the “That 70s Show” star, they immediately thought what they’d just heard described was rape.
One such witness was Cedric B, the husband of the third Jane Doe, known in court as Cb. He said after being married for a couple of years, Cb told him about what happened between her and Masterson in December 2001.
While she was telling her story, “She seemed to be … it seemed like she was controlled by remote,” Cedric B told LAPD detectives.
Deputy District Attorney Ariel Anson asked Cedric B what that meant.
“It means that when she was describing her relationship [with Masterson] and a certain incident, she was holding back,” he said. “She was not necessarily forthcoming about everything. She seemed afraid.”
Anson then asked what Cedric B’s reaction was to her account.

There was no way to predict that a low-budget, independent horror movie with a no-name cast would go on to become one of the most influential films in cinematic history. But 40 years ago, John Carpenter built the framework for one of the most successful franchises ever and helped create the “slasher” genre with the 1978 smash Halloween.
In the ensuing years, Michael Myers (aka The Shape) became one of culture’s preeminent boogeymen, Carpenter’s haunting theme continued to set an ominous mood and the fictional town of Haddonfield dealt with a serious body count problem. While the motivations for Michael’s actions grew more convoluted, he remained a terrifying force four decades later.
Now, with a new Halloween in the works from director David Gordon Green and writer Danny McBride, featuring original star Jamie Lee Curtis as the ultimate survivor, Et decided it was time to look back on the franchise to determine which film is a dull...

Exclusive: Discovery Channel has decided to simulcast Science Channel’s first stab at scripted programming — the 90-minute The Challenger Disaster — when it premieres on November 16 at 9 Pm, to ensure it gets the biggest possible audience and because the movie fits Discovery’s footprint. Discovery Channel this calendar year, is averaging 1.3 million viewers – 660,000 of them aged 18-49. Science Channel this year is averaging 304,000 viewers – 117,000 of them in the demo. When Science first announced the project in July, its Gm Debbie Myers said it was the “biggest swing” in the network’s history. Produced in collaboration with the BBC and based on Dr. Richard Feynman’s memoir, What Do You Care What Other People Think?, the movie details Feynman’s participation in the Presidential Commission put together to investigate the Challenger explosion. William Hurt plays Feynman – the Caltech physicist/Nobel laureate who, in a televised hearing, demonstrated that the Challenger’s O-ring was not sufficiently pliable,...

Other than Disneyland what’s the greatest place in the world? It’s a place where woman will do just about anything for a few dollars. That’s right; strip clubs.
On the same note strippers are American heroes. I can’t think of any other profession that I respect more, maybe adult film stars (I’m a pig, I know). Seeing as though real life strippers usually aren’t that glamorous we’re going to take a look at some of the greatest movie stripper’s scenes that blew us all away.
Now seeing as though I am a heterosexual male, don’t expect to see any Magic Mike or Full Monty entries on this list. This is strictly the hottest female movie strippers that we would empty our wallets for.

I've been off the boards for a while on assignment and have a stack of pieces to write, but I found this item so exciting that I had to go off task and share it with you. I just learned that director Ridley Scott has agreed to produce a series called Prophets of Science Fiction for Science Channel.
The website for Broadcasting & Cable reports that Scott's new eight-episode series, to debut later this year, will "profile great minds of science fiction," such as George Lucas and Isaac Asimov, whose work has encouraged scientific innovations.
Debbie Myers, executive vice president and general manager of Science Channel, said, "Quite simply, Ridley Scott is a titan in the world of science fiction — and the perfect personification of Prophets of Science Fiction . . . Science Channel is thrilled to go on this journey with Ridley beyond imagination into the world of the unknown. Science is sparked by creativity,...

Video game designer Will Wright has signed a development deal with Science Channel to produce programming for the network.
Wright is co-founder of Maxis (now part of Electronic Arts) and designer of hit game series "The Sims."
He is charged with creating series and specials for Science that explore topics including time travel, different worlds and the future. Each program will have online and inter¬active components and will attempt to reflect the sensibility of Wright's video game work.
"I want to take the way he engages an audience in gaming and bring that into a show," Science Channel Gm Debbie Myers said.
The partnership reflects Myers' strategy to expand the network's programming from science-based content to shows that explore creativity. Science recently made headlines by partnering with Steven Spielberg for a documentary on rebuilding the World Trade Center site.

Discovery Communications is teaming with Steven Spielberg for a project that takes an in-depth look at the World Trade Center rebuild.
The filmmaker will present "Rebuilding Ground Zero," a documentary about the rebuilding of the Twin Towers site in New York.
"The rebuilding effort at Ground Zero is a compelling story of remembrance and renewal," New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg said in a statement. "The fact that Steven Spielberg -- one of the great filmmakers of our time -- will produce a documentary on it ensures that the story will be brought to life for people around the world for generations to come."
Rebuilding efforts on a new skyscraper on the World Trade Center site were stalled, then got under way in 2006.
The six-part series will debut on Discovery's Science Channel in 2011 -- two years before the "Freedom Tower" is expected to be completed -- and will be shot in 3D and high-def.

It was last May when we first learned about a short film called "Judith" that was being written by Kenny Caperton, creator of The Myers House Nc, a life-size replica of the infamous Michael Myers house from John Carpenter's Halloween. At that time "Judith"'s director, Josh Hasty, informed us that they hoped to begin filming in September at The Myers House. Apparently sometimes things do go according to plan as we heard from Caperton today, who informed us shooting would be under way in a couple of weeks.
Caperton actually had two updates for us -- the first about "Judith" and another detailing plans for the first annual Myers House Halloween Bash to be held Saturday night, October 31st. The Myers House is located in Orange County, North Carolina, in rural Hillsborough and doubles as Caperton's residence.

Right on the heels of Rob Zombie's announcement that he plans to remake The Blob, Hasbro announced their new line of Halloween 2 action figures. The first action figure will be released a few weeks after the film arrives in theaters, with a new figure being issued every two weeks until the DVD hits store shelves. They plan to have a lot of different versions of Michael Myers, including dolls based on all the pictures Zombie released that "didn't count" and should have never been released in the first place (Hobo Myers, Not Hobo Myers, and so on...) Sheri Moon Zombie has brought the role of Deborah Myers to life (and death) in the box office smash Halloween (2007) and in the forthcoming much-anticipated sequel, Halloween II. It is that time of year again, and Michael Myers has returned home to sleepy Haddonfield, Illinois to take care of some unfinished family business. After the jump, you can check out three brand new exclusive clips from Rob Zombie’s latest film, featuring the jumpsuit-donning madman himself.
The first clip, which is from the first half of the film, shows Myers in action as he lures two unsuspecting victims into a trap. The second scene is the first we see of Sheri Moon’s character, Deborah Myers, in the sequel. Brace yourselves for this one because she’s a ghost, wearing white, leading a white stallion.
Finally, the third scene is a dream sequence, also starring Sheri. This one gets a little bizarre as well, so be sure to pay close attention to the nuances. Check...

Sheri Moon Zombie is a name that, in the past few years, has become quite prominent in the world of horror. She got her start back in 2003’s House of 1000 Corpses and worked her way up from there, all alongside her husband Rob Zombie. We recently got a chance to talk to Sheri about the upcoming Halloween 2 release, and how her character makes an interesting return.
Those who remember Zombie’s first Halloween know that Deborah Myers, Sheri’s character, offed herself in the second act. It seems like her role only got bigger after death, as she’s pretty consistent throughout the newest film. In the interview, Sheri spills on H2, working with Rob, her role as Suzi X in the animated The Haunted World of El Superbeasto, and even the work she did on Showtime’s Californication.

Bloody Disgusting have managed to get their hands on a previously unseen and intentionally unreleased trailer for Rob Zombie’s shlock-horror sequel Halloween II (or H2 depending on which side of the fence you stand), starring Scout Taylor-Compton, Tyler Mane and Malcolm McDowell.
The trailer does feature some brand new footage (including our first look at Sheri Moon Zombie as the ghostly Deborah Myers) and further hints at the film’s “plot,” although I find it hard to believe that they discarded this trailer on those grounds. It feels less like a “leak” and more like a cynical marketing ploy on behalf of the studio. Either way the trailer is pretty cool, check it out below:
Halloween II is scheduled for release in the Us on 28th August 2009, a UK release date has yet to be confirmed.

Bloody-Disgusting has got a hold on an unused trailer for "H2: Halloween 2" and has unleashed the sneak peek at the horror movie for viewing pleasure. Featuring some of the footage shown in previous trailer, this newly-found one gives out never-before-seen footage as well as provides clues into the film's secret.
In addition to this unused trailer, a brand new clip of "H2" was previewed during director Rob Zombie and actress Sheri Moon Zombie's interview with Pix 11 Morning News. The snippet features Sheri's Deborah Myers talking to young Michael Myers, portrayed by Chase Wright Vanek, about Scout Taylor-Compton's Laurie Strode.

"Rob Zombie did an interview on Pix 11 Morning News this morning and they showed anew short clip from Halloween II, thought you might be interested in." Damn straight! Last night in New York, at a TV launch party for Popular Science's "Future Of..." Debbie Myers, Science Channel general manager asked what was missing from science programming.
The overall response, from the 50-plus room full of mostly New York digerati, was resoundingly, "a show that was both entertaining and smart--not dumbed down." Well, if last night's Twitter response could be utilized as any sort of indicator, then in "Future Of..." Discovery and its Science Channel, along with PopSci, have stumbled upon the answer to that question.
According to the PopSci and Science Channel brass, the secret sauce was finding the right host. Someone who was, "chill yet energetic--chillergetic."
That host is Baratunde Thurston, a comedian, political pundit, and author, who guides us through the future of play, war, sex, security, and many other topics affecting human life. Thurston will conduct in-depth interviews with creative inventors, unconventional scientists, and talented entrepreneurs,...

This week’s latest rumour has yet again come straight from Nuke The Fridge, and while I’d take it with a fist full of salt, it is quite an intriguing development.
According to Ntf, Rob Zombies latest Myers-centric movie (Halloween II or H2 - take your pick) has a twist at the end - according to their “on set sources” the whole film is one big dream, being played out in Michael Myers’ head!
Far fetched as it sounds, the more I think about it the more it makes sense. According to the sources, the twist was thrown in by Zombie, so he could cast his wife Sheri Moon Zombie back in the role of Michael’s mother - Deborah Myers.
Like I said, fist full of salt until confirmation comes through. But what do you think? Does this sound like a plausible Rob Zombie story? Certainly does to me!

Sure we've had the teaser trailer, but now we have the first clip from Halloween 2, the sequel to Rob Zombie's 2006 remake of the classic Halloween.
H2 takes a completely new direction for the series, going it's own way into the future and despite the fact I know I may not like the finished product, it's still difficult not to get hyped by new H2 material. The video below features the brand new clip, along with one or two excerpts from recent interviews.
Starring Tyler Mane (Michael Myers) Malcolm McDowell (Dr. Samuel Loomis), Scout Taylor-Compton (Laurie Strode) and Sheri Moon Zombie (Deborah Myers), Halloween stalks into theatres once more in the Us on 28th August 2009, a UK release date has yet to be confirmed.

Laurie Strode (Scout Taylor-Compton) ends up in the hospital following the events of Rob Zombie's "Halloween", his reboot of John Carpenter's legendary slasher film that started it all. The brand new trailer - that you can view beyond the break - gives us a look at the beginning of "H2: Halloween 2", while also displaying some crazy imagery that has loaded us with questions ranging from the return of Deborah Myers (Sheri Moon) with blonde hair (is she a ghost?) to the image of Daeg as little Michael (was he really digitally added to the film?). Casting has begun for Rob Zombie's H2 ( Halloween 2 ) and we've received details on a new character you'll be seeing in the sequel. Howard is the huge, thick necked bouncer at the 'Rabbit in Red' night club. He's not a pierced-tattooed-rocker type, but more of a hard workin' fist fightin' beer drinkin' bouncer. The Rabbit in Red, as you will undoubtedly recall, is the club where Deborah Myers (in Zombie's original film) danced at. Pre-production revs up on H2 in January, shooting begins in March.
