While many of us felt a significant amount of sadness when Bruce Willis was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, his wife, Emma Heming Willis, is reminding people that despite everything, the star is very much alive. As reported by Deadline, Willis’s wife is especially “triggered” by recent clickbait headlines that suggest the actor no longer has any joy in his life, which she said isn’t true.
“I need society and whosoever is writing these stupid headlines to stop scaring people. Stop scaring people to think that once they get a diagnosis of some kind of neurocognitive disease that, ‘That’s it. It’s over. Let’s pack it up. Nothing else to see here, we’re done.’ No. It is the complete opposite of that, okay?”

“Love Is Blind: U.K.” is set to launch next year. Matt Willis is known as the singer of pop-punk band Busted, and Emma Willis has presented “Big Brother” as well as the U.K. edition of Netflix reality series “The Circle.” The two married in 2008 after three years of dating, and have three children together.

Emma Heming Willis, the wife of actor Bruce Willis, has offered an update on his progress, in addition to sharing a sweet story that offers a unique perspective on Willis’ condition and an urging for people to ask questions about dementia.
In an Instagram post, Emma said she discovered that Evelyn, one of two daughters she has with Bruce Willis, was doing her own research on dementia, searching for “fun facts”. Emma’s response: “She really is her father’s child because these two love some random facts. So I said to her, ‘Evelyn, we will always make sure daddy has a bottle of water in hand. Thank you for letting me know. AFM has always been heavy on genre and brawn and is now as much about broader LA meetings as it is about concentrated deal-making, which happens throughout the year. There is a real sense of a market and an independent finance sector in flux as buyers and sellers recompute their businesses. Movies are being made and there is positivity about new ways of getting them made, and about most businesses diversifying their portfolios, but questions over the role and viability of a market like AFM remain. Former Channel 4 deputy director of programs and head of popular factual Kelly Webb-Lamb has set up a new production company.
Mothership Productions will focus on global formats and “ideas of scale” across the unscripted genres. The new outfit has already hit the ground running with a senior team that includes Charlotte Desai, Gilly Greenslade and Gudren Claire.
“After 25 years in the industry on both sides of the pitching/buying table, it felt like it was time to take the leap and have a go at doing it for myself,” said Webb-Lamb. “I can’t honestly believe I’ve managed to persuade such a brilliant group of women to come along for the ride with me. We are super ambitious — and intend to make some properly great, entertaining, warm and witty programmes — and have a lot of fun.”

Exclusive: UK network ITV has ordered a second series of competition format Cooking With the Stars, Deadline hears.
The six-part show from ITV Studios-backed South Shore, which is co-financed by Marks & Spencer in an ad-funded arrangement, is hosted by Emma Willis and Tom Allen and sees celebrities compete against each other in weekly challenges, with one eliminated per episode.
The first season, which aired over the summer, was won by McFly singer Harry Judd, who beat Denise van Outen in the final. Others to feature included Johnny Vegas, Aj Odudu and Griff Rhys Jones.
Celebrities are unconfirmed for season two.
The re-commission represents something of a gamble for ITV as the show pulled in below-par ratings, launching with 2M overnight and dipping below 1M for some of the later installments.
Cooking With the Stars has, however, bested ITVs previous cooking format, 2015’s BBQ Champ, which only ran for one series.

"You know you can tell me anything and I will love you no matter what." Goldwyn Films has released a trailer for the British indie coming-of-age comedy film Dating Amber, the second feature from filmmaker David Freyne. The film is about a closeted gay teen and his lesbian counterpart who pretend to be a couple to avoid suspicion. Dating Amber is "a love letter to all those kids who grew up in a small town and who needed to escape in order to be themselves." Starring Fionn O’Shea & Lola Petticrew as Eddie & Amber, along with Sharon Horgan, Barry Ward, Simone Kirby, Evan O'Connor, Ian O'Reilly, and Emma Willis. This looks good! Yes it's a story we've heard before, but this looks like it has a refreshingly spunky look and feel, not only taking place during the 1990s but the with the wonderful connection these two have. Here's the official trailer...

Pants On Fire, an extreme bluffing format hosted by The Circle presenter Emma Willis, has been quietly rested by Channel 4’s youth station E4 two-thirds of the way through its first nine-part run.
A Channel 4 insider said it always intended to pause the show part-way through its series and stressed that the final three episodes will be broadcast in early 2020. But another well-placed source told Deadline that a mid-season break was never part of the original plan.
Pants On Fire‘s first six episodes seriously underperformed slot average, with some installments down 100,000 viewers or more on what a show would usually achieve on E4 at 9Pm on a Thursday.

Exclusive: Channel 4 is lining up a third season of Studio Lambert format The Circle.
This comes ahead of the launch of a slew of international remakes including a U.S. adaptation for the Studio Lambert-produced format via Netflix.
Deadline understands that the British broadcaster is keen to bring the reality show, which is described as Big Brother-meets-Catfish for a social media-obsessed audience, back for a third run. Content chief Ian Katz is hot on the show and has been telling execs in the UK that he is minded to “double down” on the format as its second season heads into its final week. Channel 4 has noted that the series hasn’t been officially greenlit for a third season but sources say that Katz’ enthusiasm is a good sign for the show.

The Circle, the latest creation from the format gurus at Undercover Boss producer Studio Lambert, is back on British television — and it proved popular with younger viewers.
Channel 4 launched the second season on Tuesday ahead of its U.S. debut on Netflix, which picked up the show last year, calling it “compelling, timely, and buzzworthy.”
The Big Brother-meets-Catfish social experiment was watched by a total audience of 1.3 million between 9.15pm and 10.30pm, according to Barb ratings figures from Channel 4. This was in line with what a show would usually attract at that time, and was up 30% on 2018’s debut episode.
As with last year’s series, The Circle proved popular with young viewers. Half a million 16-34 year olds tuned in to watch, winning the slot in the demographic. The 500,000 young viewers was also up 26% on last year’s first instalment.

Bleecker Street has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to “Military Wives,” a British, feel-good drama starring Kristin Scott Thomas that made its premiere at Tiff on Friday, an individual with knowledge of the deal told TheWrap.
Several distributors chased the film following its premiere screening, and Bleecker Street plans to release the film theatrically.

Their joy for singing soon inspires a media sensation and a global movement. The film is directed by Peter Cattaneo (“The Full Monty”) and written by Rosanne Flynn and Rachel Tunnard.

Bleecker Street has won domestic rights to “Military Wives,” a feel-good comedy with Kristin Scott Thomas, Variety has confirmed.
The pact is one of the first to emerge from a slow market at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival. “The Full Monty” filmmaker Peter Cattaneo directed “Military Wives,” the true story of a group of women who form a choir while their husbands are serving in Afghanistan. What starts as a diversion to distract themselves from negative thoughts about their spouses soon propels them to the center of a media frenzy and global movement.
In her review for Variety, Amy Nicholson called the film a “ballad to female unity,” adding, “though their husbands are on a dangerous six-month deployment, the women of this charmer about a camp choir find a reason to sing.”

Exclusive: Bleecker Street is at the altar for U.S. rights to the Toronto Film Festival acquisitions title Military Wives, the Peter Cattaneo-directed film that stars Kristin Scott Thomas, Sharon Horgan and Jason Flemyng. Cattaneo is best known for The Full Monty, and this one also has a feel-good element to it. Pic tells the true story of a band of women who form a choir on a military base while their partners are away serving in Afghanistan. What starts as a diversion becomes more than that, and the unexpected bonds of friendship between the women transform their lives and help overcome their fears for loved ones in combat.
Several distributors circled the picture, which will get a proper theatrical release after a slew of festival trade reviews said it deserved one. The deal will be a shot in the arm for a festival whose acquisitions marketplace has been off to a slow start.

Exclusive: Robbie Williams and regular song-writing collaborator Guy Chambers, known for their partnership on hit singles including Angels, Let Me Entertain You and Millenium, are to provide an original song for UK comedy-drama Military Wives, starring Kristin Scott Thomas and Catastrophe‘s Sharon Horgan.
Peter Cattaneo’s (The Full Monty) upcoming film, inspired by the hit BBC documentary series, The Choir: Military Wives, tells the story of a group of women, separated from their loved ones serving in the armed forces, who form a choir at their army base. Pic is currently in post-production.
Bringing aboard Williams, the best-selling British solo artist ever in the UK, is quite a coup for the production. I gather the singer was approached by producers via music supervisor Liz Gallacher and he quickly sparked to the material. It’s not clear at this stage whether Williams will also sing the song.

“Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” won three of its leading seven bids at the London Critics’ Circle Film Awards on Sunday (Jan. 28), including Best Picture. While Martin McDonagh lost the Best Director race to Sean Baker (“The Florida Project”) he did win for his script. And his leading lady, Frances McDormand, picked up another prize on her seemingly inevitable march to the Oscars. (See the full list of winners below).
However, Gary Oldman (“Darkest Hour”) hit a bump in the road as he lost Best Actor to one of his Oscar rivals — Timothee Chalamet (“Call Me By Your Name”) — and the award for British or Irish actor of the year to another, Daniel Kaluuya (“Get Out”). Oscar hopeful Sally Hawkins (“The Shape of Water”) won that homegrown award on the distaff side. And “Dunkirk” claimed Best British/Irish Film over, among others, “Three Billboards.”
