After a pretty strong Dlc calendar post-release, the content window for WWE 2K16 is now sadly closed with the final package – the Hall Of Fame Showcase – now available to players. It’s a good way to crown the Dlc offering – particularly as it offers a lot more than the other Dlc packs released so far – and at $9.99 it’s not the worst value either.
The biggest selling point here is variety: there’s something for everyone. The matches included are Macho Man Randy Savage vs Jake The Snake Roberts, Rikishi vs The Rock, Alundra Blayze vs Paige, Larry Zbyszko and Arn Anderson vs Ricky The Dragon Steamboat and Dusty Rhodes, Tatsumi Fujinami vs Ric Flair, The Bushwhackers vs The Natural Disasters, and The Outsiders vs Harlem Heat. That’s quite a spread, and the mash-up of iconic matches and fantasy bookings is exactly what 2K Games should be...

The WWE 2K16 Future Stars Pack will be released for PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 on January 26.
The latest Dlc will include Nxt Superstars Samoa Joe and Blake and Murphy, along with the main roster’s Los Matadores (Diego & Fernando). It will cost gamers $7.99 or can be purchased as part of the Season Pass – which saves you more than 20% on all the downloadable content – for $24.99.
Samoa Joe has been one of the more prominent players in what is still considered WWE’s developmental territory since making his debut last May, while Blake and Murphy are former Nxt Tag Team Champions.
Los Matadores’ inclusion is a bit more confusing as the pair have been part of the main roster in one gimmick or another since 2011. Plus, there has been pretty heavy speculation over the last few months that they could be repacked once more…

The Legends Pack for WWE 2K16 – which will include no less than six greats from the company’s past – will be released on December 22.
Available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360, the pack will include: Big Boss Man, Dusty Rhodes, Lita, Mr. Perfect, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and Trish Stratus.
An advert was aired during Sunday’s TLC pay per view showing what all the Superstars will look like in the game. The pack will cost gamers $8.99, although you could buy the Season Pass for $24.99 and get the Accelerator, New Moves pack, 2015 Hall of Fame showcase Future Stars Pack – as well as the Legends Pack – when they become available in the coming months.
This is a great selection of Superstars on offer, and very timely considering the recent deaths of both Dusty Rhodes and Roddy Piper.

It’s never easy to predict what’s coming in WWE. One of the many company taglines states that “anything can happen” in the promotion, and that’s not far from the truth – over the past few years, fans have seen shocking moments ranging from The Undertaker’s loss to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XXX to Cm Punk’s “Pipe Bomb” promo to the debut of The Shield. In those three cases – and in dozens of others – not a single viewer expected what WWE delivered.
Despite all of the uncertainty – and the fact that WWE’s creative team can change plans whenever they want to, for any reason – we still can’t help but make predictions. After all, our favorite movies and television shows usually follow a pretty regular path – the hero emerges and establishes himself, faces a crisis that threatens to undo him, then comes back to save the day.

WWE 2K16 will have Dlc and a Season Pass rammed full of legends and bonus matches.
The WWE 2K16 season pass will include a legends pack that features names like Lita, Trish Stratus, Dusty Rhodes, Roddy Piper and other high profile WWE superstars.
It will also feature a Hall Of Fame showcase, in which gamers can play classic matches like Ric Flair versus Tatsumi Fujinami. That’s one of the best WCW matches of all time, and everyone should check it out on WWE Network.
The showcase will also mix things up and allow gamers to play dream matches like Alundra Blayze versus Paige. It also randomly features Rikishi versus The Rock, which is hardly a classic, so that’s a little random.
Unsurprisingly, there’ll also be a new moves pack. Something else will be a future stars pack, featuring Samoa Joe and other Nxt superstars.
It all looks like a lot of fun,...

Hideo Itami was victorious in the Nxt tournament at Axxess to earn a spot in the Andre The Giant Battle Royal at WrestleMania. Unfortunately for Itami, his big win coincides with WWE’s decision to relegate the battle royal to the WrestleMania preshow.
Adrian Neville had been the favourite to win the qualifying tournament, but Itami knocked the british star off in the opening round. Also in the opening round, Finn Balor defeated Tyler Breeze. Itami then defeated Balor in the final.
The decision for Itami to win is likely based upon the fact that Japanese legend Tatsumi Fujinami is going into the WWE Hall Of Fame on Saturday night. That occasion will likely be used to profile Fujinami and Itami together, giving them both exposure over Mania weekend.
Having Itami on the Mania card is certainly an indication that his full time main roster run is imminent.

The wrestling world was enormously shocked this week with news of the sudden death of Jim “Ultimate Warrior” Hellwig.
It’s amazing to consider that his career in the WWF could have taken such a different path had he gone to Japan as a headliner. Eerily, his speech at the 2014 Hall of Fame and subsequent Monday Night Raw contain numerous dark premonitions about his life. His impressive win record over top opponents is unlikely to be matched again. Most surprisingly, his lawsuits have uncovered a secret 1997 WWF deal that almost brought Warrior into the Attitude-era mix.
